One of the worst managing agents I have ever had to deal with. It takes months to get simple repairs such as a fallen fence to be repaired. They will never update you on progress unless you chase for an update. I have formally complained and they told me it wouldn't happen again, this was obviously not true. If you are a renter then avoid this company. It will save you stress and dealing with rank incompetence.

In a very difficult market (retirement flats) during a very difficult time (Covid lockdowns), Josh and his colleagues at the Shirley office always kept us informed of the situation, be it good or bad, and their efforts to get it moving, with weekly reports if we had wanted them. When we finally got an offer, it moved on to Helen and her colleagues, who again kept us informed and pushed the parties along when necessary.

We decided to go with Smart Homes as when they completed the visit to my property they were very professional in there approach and also in this uncertainty they applied all the rules that needed to be applied at the time. We were especially imprest with Debbie who handled our case from the start, we had regular updates and were never in a position where we did not know what was going on and if there were any bumps in the road with other parties she would deal with this and get back to us with the detail (even on her days off). Smart homes have forced me and my poor two kids to live in a mould and damp house for 3 years now. They kept fobbing me off telling me it was tenant lifestyle. Since then its come to light with 3 damp surveyors reports that there's clearcut evidence of rising and penetrating damp in the property. And yet they have done nothing to address the issue. My child's health got severely affected by the mould and damp. Now smart homes is evicting me and my family in the middle of a pandemic. This is their customer services If i could post photos of the current state of the property i would!!! You guys are shambles!!! Low moral in valuing human life

Overall a very positive experience (sold a house through them, Sep-20 to Dec-20). Didn't get to experience the sales side as much due to the house selling quickly but the sales progression team were always helpful and there was always someone there to answer the phone (albeit I never got through to our dedicated sales representative for the majority of the time). A good overall performance though considering the circumstances we are in this year and the heightened workload that estate agents are dealing with.

As a First Time Buyer, my Husband and I were looking to buy a property in Solihull. We didn't have a great experience with one of the other Estate Agents. During our search, we found a property with Smart Homes. We viewed the property twice, which helped us in making our decision to buy the property. Our questions were noted and we received quick response from the vendors and Smart Homes. After we decided to buy the property, the Sale Progression team took over our file. Helen Coles, was our point of contact, who was incredible and very professional. Being a First Time Buyer, she explained to us the process in detail. We would receive weekly call from her on updates and to explain the next steps. When we were closer to exchange of the contracts, there were some issues with higher up in the property chain, which was annoying. But Helen provided us all support and solution, which finally helped our solicitort to exchange the contract. Helen Coles, thank you for the enormous support throughout the process and we recommend Smart Homes and Helen Coles from Sales progression team
