We put a deposit down for a plot and after some months deliberation, and before the house was built we changed our mind and requested our deposit back. It took 3 months to get the deposit back after numerous emails, telephone calls and a visit to the sales centre. Unacceptable.

If I could give ZERO I would. This is the second time I am buying a Strata house but definitely will be the last. The after care is terrible and they just sit behind a desk and not support especially after raising a safety concern on my new property which was not cheap. Even the neighbours, builders and contractors that came to work on our house raised the concerns and said “this must be illegal” especially when we have a 2yrs old daughter. We have a HUGE drop in our front door which Strata refuses to fix even though other house types have steps, turf or railings. customer service refuse to do anything!!! HUGE SAFETY HAZARD!!!! STAY AWAY!

I live on an estate of 440 houses built by persimmon & strata..both builders have finished years ago and are refusing to finish the road off arguing either side not their problem...not even the council seems to be able to get anywhere..best to avoid

We know that the roads and community centre at Elegance have taken longer than anticipated and we fully understand and appreciate your frustration. This is not a reflection of the experience we aim to create at Strata . Whilst you might not see physical presence currently on site, we want to assure you that we are working hard in the background to ensure that all the roads are completed to an adoptable standard.We feel it’s really important to clearly communicate the scope of works which are outstanding and the timescales for completion. Therefore, we will be sending a letter over the next two of days confirming outstanding works on the development, which will be followed by a programme that will confirm our expected timescales to complete the work. Would not recommend Strata. Very poor aftercare. Fed up of waiting, going to seek legal advice. Sorry Strata you have given us our dream home. Looks like we’re going to have to get builders in to complete work to a standard that we perceive to be 5 star. Very disappointed and stressful 18 months we’ve had. I’m at the end of my tether with Strata. I’ve lost the will to live! Worst thing we ever did buy a Strata home. Cowboy builders.

Strata label themselves as a luxury home provider. Our house is not. We have had three A4 pages of problems and no we are not picky. From leaks to walls not being straight. Walls being rebuilt to straighten feature walls not pointed wobbly toilets creaking floors and stairs to name but a few. Yes they put the problems right but workmen don't turn up work goes on for days and day. Strata have apologised but it's not good enough. Please if you buy a house of these be very careful.m
