About Country Properties Shefford

We have been helping clients since opening our High Street office in 2004. We help sellers and landlords in Shefford and the surrounding villages find the perfect buyer or tenant. We are a local agent, run by local people and we care about our community. We are also part of the Hunters group, one of the largest names in UK Estate agency. We believe in delivering a first class service to all of our clients and with an in depth knowledge of all aspects of the property market, our experienced Shefford team ensure sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants receive a professional and friendly service. Also, with the whole team living locally, all our staff are local experts with extensive knowledge of all that our area has to offer. Since opening we have supported many local events and have become an integral part of the local community. We are proud supporters of many local community events and you will find many of our ‘For Sale’ boards adapted to promote the local charities, schools, organisations and community events. We also have a large window display in a central location, to effectively promote your property to the local community.

Had a sale fall through in part due to poor advice from the agent

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are sorry that the sale did not ultimately proceed, as we appreciate how disappointing that can be. We would, however, like to clarify that in this instance the circumstances were largely outside of our control. The buyer commissioned an independent survey from a RICS-qualified surveyor, and the findings of that professional assessment were a matter for the buyer and seller to consider. We communicated the relevant information to you and did everything we could to facilitate discussions and help the transaction progress. Our understanding throughout was that both parties had the same objective of reaching a successful completion. Ultimately, however, the decision as to how to proceed following the survey was outside of our control. We appreciate that the outcome was frustrating, but we do not feel it would be fair to suggest that the sale fell through as a result of poor advice from us. We acted professionally throughout and provided the information available to us to help both parties make informed decisions. We wish you all the best with the property and thank you again for your feedback.

We have received such an excellent service selling our rented property through Country Properties Shefford. Brilliant service, they are really professional - Taylor in particular has always dealt with our queries quickly and efficiently on this last sale. What can we say - 7 weeks from being put on the market to completion, and at the asking price! Not only this but the Team have also sold our other rented property and our daughter's house over the last 2 years. All have been dealt with professionally and we have had a fantastic service from the team. In addition, we have also used Country Properties over a number of years to let out our rented properties. We have always received an excellent service from the Letting Team as well. I cannot recommend Country Properties in Shefford highly enough, specifically Steph and Jo. They were outstanding in our purchase, considering we had a very strict completion deadline due to a mortgage offer expiring in the chain. CP were instrumental in ensuring the whole chain completed, following up with solicitors on a daily basis and making sure all parties were kept updated. Country Properties and particularly Steph were excellent in selling my house. They really worked hard to structure a sale and purchase and seem extremely motivated to move the transaction through. They followed up all the time making sure all the solicitors and chain were aligned. You could probably find cheaper online estate agents, but I would think that the sales from these online companies are far more likely to fall through. As someone who is looking to develop a few houses for sale, I will certainly looking to build a relationship with this office.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Steph at Country Properties and the team as a whole are excellent. You know from the very beginning that they want to do their best for you. They get how important selling that house or finding your dream home is. I have used them on quite a few occasions, went with another agency once and it was my biggest mistake, I learn’t very quickly how good Steph and the team are at their job and won’t be using anyone else from now on. Country Properties are the best at getting the job done, they always update you, their communication is prompt and concise, seriously don’t bother with any other estate agency.

Jo of Country Properties has been amazing. She is just a phone call away and handled every of our request, professionally. We viewed at least 10 properties until we finally bought the one. She kept us up to date on all that was going on, on the chain, my wife even commented that these estate agents are better than the Solicitors as we got more information from them, than our solicitors. I will recommend her and Country Properties for all your housing needs in Shefford.

Jamie and his team are extremely professional individuals who are passionate about the work they do. They took the sale of our home through some quite challenging and unpredictable times, but kept us well informed and confident that we would get to completion. Although the process was longer than expected the communication between themselves and I was excellent. Following the sale of the home they have kept in contact to inform us of mail or packages that have missed the mail redirection. Simply put, they are both recommendable and commendable and in my opinion the front runners in the estate agency market for this area. Many thanks to you all!

Country Properties in Shefford have real community values, supporting many local events throughout the year, including our Garage Sale Trail that is in it's 2nd year. Jamie and his team have been involved from the beginning and are a pleasure to work with. Without their support, this event would be difficult to manage alone. I'm very grateful to have Jamie as a sounding board, and for the practical support they've given with collecting registration forms, publicity and producing the trail sheet. We also bought our house through them and wouldn't hesitate to sell through them!

We recently used Country Properties to sell our house and had a fantastic experience. They were very thorough when it came to a valuation and options of how to market the house. Once SSTC they made sure everything ran smoothly by keeping us up to date on the chains progress and when needed acted as a go between for us and the buyer. Special mention goes to Steph for all of her hard work from start to finish. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the market!

Steph and Jamie have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. We've had a bit of a tough sale with the bottom of the chain falling out twice (despite having been heavily vetted by the team at CP), but both times, the situation was remedied and quickly. From the initial valuation we were given a great price (without even having to haggle), they have kept us in the loop throughout the whole process (good and bad) and helped us drive the sale through to completion, which again was no easy task with a particularly leisurely solicitor involved in the chain who liked to ask questions, a LOT of questions. Steph and Jamie have been great, without them involved I think we'd still be going back and forth trying to exchange. I would definitely recommend Country Properties Shefford to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.
