Positive experience. First sale fell through due to prospective purchasers messing about and generally being uncommunicative as they'd stretched themselves too far. But Whitehornes relisted the property and we achieved the same price. Their digital presence is better than the other agents at present in Sheffield and they know how to leverage that in gaining interest from buyers. They basically work hard to make their commission and I never felt like I was being ignored unlike the conveyancers/solicitors who took an age to respond.PositiveProfessionalism

Enquired about viewing a flat on a Tuesday. Was told they'd check with the seller and get back to me. Called a further four times over the next week or so. Every time told someone would get back to me. Finally, 10 days after first enquiry I was offered a viewing the next day (less then 24hrs notice) which I couldn't attend due to a plans already made. Was then told that was only chance to view as offers would be closing by Monday! Complete waste of time. No apology for time taken or number of times I had to call. Maybe this was the sellers fault for not giving a viewing (I don't know). But as a buyer I would think twice about viewing anything offered through this agent based on this experience, unless you like making calls for days on end. As a seller I would be concerned about the apparent inability to arrange even a simple viewing in a timely manner.NegativeResponsiveness

I used Whitehornes as a letting and managing agent for my house. I wouldn't use them again even to just find tenants. The maintenance guys are useless. Removing leaves from an easy to access blocked gutter proved too difficult and they charged 40% more than a local gutter cleaning service. Markups on replacement white goods were 100% (i.e. double) over the retail price for substandard items with no documentation.
