Great service, great team and a great result

We chose Whitehornes to sell our house, having had great service from them previously. We have no hesitation in recommending the team, and in particular we want to thank Andy, Kerry and Will for their unstinting support throughout the sales process. Andy was spot on with his assessment of the market and with the valuation on the house and we quickly secured an offer in line with what he had predicted we could achieve. Various subsequent delays were dealt with calmly and efficiently by Kerry and Will and when we had a family problem the whole team were incredibly kind and sympathetic. Massive thanks to you all!

Excellent experience both buying and selling through Whitehornes. Definitely worth their commission over the cheaper online agencies. Buying wise: both Sharon and Ben were great to deal with at viewings. The people back at the office were straightforward and honest; there were no “mystery competitive bidders” who were offering “just a little more if you can match it” which I’ve experienced with other agencies. This made me a lot more comfortable selling with them knowing that they wouldn’t muck buyers about. Selling wise: they did a really good job. They had good contacts with buyers and very quickly had 20+ viewings booked in. We ended up with over 30 viewings in 2 weeks. The house went 12% over asking, which covered their commission 8x over. Kerry was great helping on the admin side of things. A very calming influence given some very stressful moments.

We sold a property with Whitehornes in late 2025, they did a fantastic job from start to finish. The marketing was excellent, with great photos and additional videos for social media. They did viewings on our behalf which were very well managed. The app kept us updated in real time. Once the sales offer was accepted, they continued to support the whole process, liaising with solicitors, going over and beyond to complete the chain in a timely and efficient manner. Professional, proactive, and highly recommended.

Very unprofessional on the phone

We were interested in renting a house. We were offered an appointment that was not convenient and eventually we canceled, but we were told that If they were continuing with the viewings they would arrange us another viewing. This conversation was done like we were a nuisance. Eventually, after 2 weeks we saw the house was available. We called again. Same behavior only this time we were also completely ignored. I understand they might be having a lot of requests but this is not an excuse to stop acting like a professional. Probably if you go through them to sell a house it's not going to be the same especially if they get a percentage, but I think I would describe them as "rude".

The partner of the firm was educated locally at High Storrs school and has a good understanding of the area and of the houses he is selling. One of their staff knew only two things about the house, one of which was wrong - the extension was not built when she said it was, which could've been a building regulation issue if it hadn't been built before they came in. But we had a good experience looking at houses with them as sellers, better than some other estate agents. Their administrator Annie is very good, quick and effective communications.

I would have no hesitation, whatsoever, in recommending Whitehornes, and Caroline D, in particular. I have had to deal with c.10 house sales during my lifetime, so far and, without doubt, Whitehornes have been the best and most hard-working and diligent estate agents I have ever employed. The sale they handled for me was not, as it turned out, straightforward and easy but, nevertheless, Whitehornes, and especially Caroline D - were helpful, conscientious, communicative, and POSITIVE throughout. This company goes above and beyond to help you , staff are very professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. They guided me through my sale every step of the way, when I couldn’t understand certain things or had any questions or queries they immediately got back to me . We decided to upsize due to a growing family mid 2020. Our nervousness was around selling our property which we loved and then not being able to find anything suitable in a reasonable timeframe. I had an appointment for a viewing .I asked the person who show me the property where is the stopcock , where are the meter readers for the electricity and water . Also I asked where are the bins for the rubish bags and I expressed my will to see the area .He answered me that he doesn't know this information and he suggested me to re arrange an appointment and to see somebody who knows . I called in their office and then they told me that they wouldn't be able to make a new appointment to show these things before to sign a contract .

My point of contact at your office was a lady called Kerry Sanderson. She has been absolutely fantastic. I cannot praise Kerry enough. We had some ups and downs with buyers pulling out but Kerry was so helpful and reassuring. Her advice was second to none. We were kept informed every step of the way with regular updates.
