I purchased a property through Spencer estate agents in 2021. They were friendly and responsive throughout, and very helpful especially with one particular glitch concerning the sale. Four stars only because there was one piece of information that would have been useful to know earlier in the process (I needed to apply for permission from the leaseholder to purchase) which delayed things a little. Though perhaps I should have known this anyway :) I would certainly recommend, and when/if I come to sell, I would certainly consider Spencer.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

First class service from an Estate Agent and genuinely could not be happier to have chosen Spencer! They are an independent local agent who are incredibly good at what they do. They were professional and helpful from the initial valuation visit through to Completion. I was not in Sheffield for the sale process but we were kept informed about the viewings (they conducted over 20!) and received feedback from each, plus an additional summary report every week. They offered great advice throughout and then we were able to rely on them to liaise with both sets of solicitors until completion date. Every question/email/call was answered promptly and clearly. THINK TWICE! This agency can not be trusted! make sure when you phone them and say you want to send an application to rent a property that you have viewed , they send yours, because they may not and the day after they will say to your face that you have no application on the property!!!! and it is not over!! The agent said we have no chance of a successful application for another property because your salary is low!!!! (almost 70k is low!) for a £1250 rent!!! and other applicants have the better situation!! and just days later lower the rent of that property to 1200!! and post it on Rightmove. imagine how you feel when be treated like this! I don't want to judge yet they deserve this review twice!

I initially approached Spencer's after having little interest with no offers on my flat that had been marketed by another agent. Spencer's were helpful, responsive and provided a quality service. They provided some useful tips to help improve the appearance of the flat which inevitably made it more marketable. The quality of their photos were very good. Their marketing was excellent. They kept me regularly updated with regards to interest shown in the flat and I received a couple of offers in just over 2 weeks from the moment they listed the property on the market. However completion of the sale was prolonged due to the conveyancing process which took longer than expected. Meg who oversaw the sale was brilliant and constantly liaised with both solicitors and kept me regularly updated whilst doing so. Without her efforts the sale could have been delayed further. I would highly recommend Spencer's.

The Dream Team We bought our house 7 years ago and Spencer were the agents handling the sale. As that was a positive experience, we decided to use them for our subsequent sale and we are pleased we made that decision. Our initial contact was with Chris the valuer, who gave us sensible honest and conservative pricing advice that would help generate interest in the sale. Next up was Doug the photographer, who did a superb job on the photos. Before we went on the market, Lizzie our assigned negotiator, who has expert knowledge of our local area, came and visited, gave us some useful tips on how to conduct the viewings and took the time to become familiar with all the features of the house. The quality of the photos led to an amazing response when the house was posted on the property sites. Fortunately, Spencer had the available resources to field the calls and get all viewings from high-quality prospects scheduled in. Amelia on reception did a stellar job managing the viewings diary and provided a report at the end of each day with an up to date schedule. Feedback from the viewings was provided on a frequent and timely basis. Lizzie built relationships with the serious prospective buyers and handled some tricky negotiations with professionalism and aplomb, steering us to a brilliant result with a fantastic buyer. The support didn’t stop there once we got to ‘Sold, subject to contract’. Star player Lizzie contacted us and the legal representation on both sides several times a week to keep the sale moving and got us over the line in the timescale both we and the buyer wanted. We all know the market is crazy at the moment and there has probably never been a better time to be an Estate Agent, but we never felt like Spencer were too busy to speak to us or help in any way. We are very grateful for the service and support Spencer provided and would not hesitate in recommending them.10/10.
