GoogleExcellent service! Lizzie and the rest of the team at Spencer’s went the extra mile to get our sale over the line. Friendly, quick to respond, proactive and really helpful. Sound advice, definitely worth using. They make the process a lot easier, they were also the cheapest to sell my property with!

GoogleWe recently bought and sold a property through Spencer’s and the experience was nothing but positive. Lizzie our agent demonstrated a wealth of experience in her role, provided much needed advice and reassurance when required, and was able to smooth out the various bumps we encountered on the road to moving into our new home. We would definitely recommend Spencer’s but will not be moving house ever again!

GoogleUnfortunately my experience with letting agents has been that rather than representing the interests of both the tenant and the landlord, they exclusively represent the interests of the landlord. Our interactions with Spencer were hostile and unpleasant, and I would highly recommend choosing a property represented by a different agency. We rented a flat from Sheffield which later turned out to have been recently painted because of the rampant mould problem. Rather than treat the problem with anti-mould paint and better ventilation, they blamed us for the mould. This problem was particularly acute in the bathroom, and no amount of cleaning helped, making it embarrassing to have guests to stay. On one memorable occasion, the boiler faulted and we were left without heating or hot water for some time. When they sent out a contractor, he couldn't get the boiler to display the same fault and Spencer tried to charge us a call-out fee and accused us of lying. The experience was awful from start to finish, between their extortionate fees and their (largely) unhelpful staff. Steer clear if you can. EDIT: I definitely rented from Spencer, not Spencers, despite the responses to this review - unfortunately I'd recognise the logo anywhere.

If you rented under a different name please email me directly nicola@spencersestateagents.co.uk Because you had never made a complaint previously, and we don’t have the name you are going by, we are unable to help and this kind of platform is damaging to a firm’s reputation if your claim is not just or correct. Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you through the proper channels. REPLY FIVE - if you go by a different name, we took over the management of a block that had been rented by another agent. We still have not heard from you by email.

Excellent communication, friendly and personable to deal with both over the phone and face to face. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Spencer’s again and am grateful for their care and attention.

GoogleDO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF A FIRST CLASS ESTATE AGENCY. Spencers are first class. Our dealings with Spencers from start to finish have been absolutely fantastic. From valuation through the merchandising process, viewings, offer management and finally getting the sale completed the service we received was truly first class.
