Please see review by Peter Wigglesworth below. We were left with a house that was not adequately insulated in the winter, and a fridge/freezer that did not work (due to the cold temperature in our kitchen interfering with a mechanism within the fridge). Hunter's were appalling at communicating with us and refused to release our deposit when we left in order to live in a warm house with working white goods. After an investigation we received our deposit as there was no evidence of leaving the house with excess wear an tear . Most disturbing to me are the lies told in response to my partner's (Peter Wigglesworth) review below. I, his partner, did not send a letter praising their service, and never will. We did not leave the house in poor condition, as confirmed by an investigation, and actually did repairs ourselves that the landlord should have done. Hunter's are liars, cheats and absolutely do not take care of the tenants. Do not rent with hunter's unless you're happy to spend time living in substandard rental conditions and fighting for money that is rightfully yours.

A fantastic estate agents who have helped on many occasions. We purchased a property through them last year and they helped with every step of the process, suggesting lawyers we could use and then helping with contacts for renovation work for the property. They then were extremely helpful in getting the property marketed and sorting tenants. We were so pleased we are currently looking at buying another property through them. I could not recommend them highly enough and encourage any future buyers or renters to seek their friendly and useful advice.

A very shocking service! Me and my partner were looking for a rented property for long term as our son grew up. Went to view a house and were the first to express our interest. Upon asking what the next step was, we were told that our situation would be explained to the landlord and would hear back in the next couple of days. Being a student and my partner earning a wage based on commission, we realised that this might not be the most attractive situation for a landlord. However a few days past and nothing. I called to check in and I was told that they were still awaiting a call from the landlord. It wasn’t until two days later, I was looking at Rightmove and saw the house was ‘no longer on the market’. I called and the lady (Olivia) told me that one of the other APPLICANTS were accepted. So we were unable to apply and someone else had been allowed and then got the house. I complained and expressed my disappointment but that was pushed aside as if this was normal. When viewing, Olivia didn’t even know the layout of the house or where the boiler was and then told me lies on the phone twice as they were obviously processing an application. Would not recommend and will never use this estate agent again

I received exceptional service from all members of the Hunters Crookes team when I recently sold my house in Broomhill. I can not express adequately how impressed and pleased I am with the service I received. Prior to putting the house on sale I received very helpful advice from Mr. Goff which ensured that only 2 days after putting the house on the market I received an offer at the asking price and after a highly successful open visit by a large number of prospective buyers I received several offers well above the asking price with a sale at this higher price agreed just 10 days after offering the house for sale. Hunters kept me updated throughout the entire sale and the whole process was made so much easier than it could have been by Amy and Dan with whom it was a great pleasure to deal. The whole approach of the Hunters team was polite, professional, friendly, reassuring and supportive - I can not praise them all enough. Thank you very much. I have no hesitation in recommending Hunters at Crookes to anyone considering selling their property - I find it hard to believe that any other estate agent could give a better a service than is provided by the Hunters Crookes team. The fee for Hunters' service seemed very reasonable indeed to me. In conclusion - A very reasonably priced, friendly, extremely professional service which took a lot of anxiety out of the home selling process for me and which resulted in me achieving the sale of my house at an excellent price in an pleasingly short time period. If you're looking for an estate agent to sell your house, then I'm sure you should go first to Hunters in Crookes.
