GoogleWe have used Hunters at Crookes for several years now. They manage two rental properties for us. Their prices are competitive and we have full confidence that they have our and our tenants best interests at heart. Their great local reputation means that when tenants have moved on the properties are re let very quickly. The staff there are always ready to talk with us if we have any questions both on the phone and face to face when necessary.. We recommended Hunters to find a tenant, at short notice, for my sister in law. She told us that she was much happier with the service she received with Hunters than the previous agent she used. GoogleAs a landlord the quality of the service is very poor. It is ok if you don't have to have any thing done to the property or the tenants never calls you. However, once there is any issues they fail to deal with it. Poor quality recommended contractors. The agents don't even bother to check the quality of the work. I have to repay for deep clean with different agency as the initial service was poor and inadequate inspected (just one example!). if you are either tenant or landlord you lose as they will take money from tenants deposits and never do the work properly l. Therefore the landlord has also to pay to redo the poor work they were supposed to do/supervise. Will never recommend that. They should get 0 star but that's not an option.
We are very disappointed to read you were not happy with the service from our rental department at Hunters especially given the fact that we had managed your property for a number of years to your satisfaction. When your tenants vacated the property we successfully negotiated the dilapidations claim to reinstate the property to its usual condition. Unfortunately when a tenant vacates a property there are wear and tear factors that must be taken into account and a landlord cannot expect the property to be as it was when it was initially let years previously and again cannot expect a tenant to pay for the whole of the work when they have only lived at the property for six months. We have practices to abide by and must treat both landlord and tenant honestly & ethically meaning there has to be some percentage due to the landlord. Our contractors dealt with the issues after the check out. This was inspected by Hunters, we also had the contractors return to the property and on a second occasion this was inspected by you to which we recall there being very minor issues which were dealt with. After the property was placed in a good condition we found a suitable tenant (junior doctors) but you decided you weren’t happy with these tenants and did not want to proceed with them. We feel as agents we had jumped through hoops to make sure that we found good tenants and dealt with all of the management on a professional level. We soon realised that this wasn’t good enough for you and therefore we took the decision to dis-instruct our service. We notice that after a number of months of marketing you have now let your property with another agent and therefore wish you good luck and every success in the future.
