Terrible
Terrible! Avoid at all costs. I paid my rent late three times in the course of two years. Twice due to change in jobs and there was nothing I could it about it. They failed my reference for a new flat and was unapologetic. Extremely dismissive and rude staff. Took a year of being here to get a toilet seat fixed let alone other repairs. Iβm a journalist so Iβm planning to expose them soon if they carry on this way. Complete and utter disgrace of a company.

Very few viewings
I can't understand why I had so few viewings with Acorn in Grove Park over the course of two months. I can only say that a new agent sold my house in just over a week and in that time I had three offers.
Dear Michelle..I am sorry to read your review and understand your frustrations. I can see that we had quite a few viewings booked in during our time as your agent but unfortunately some cancelled prior to the viewings taking place. I am pleased that your current agent has had success if finding you a buyer and hope that your move now goes smoothly. Thanks. Andrew Roberts - Customer Relations Manager

Absolutely fantastic
I would like to thank the entire team for all their hard work and efforts throughout the whole buying process. They were amazing. I wasnt selling through them i was buying. Mark showed us around the house and even layed on the floor to show us a bath would fit π€£. Speaking to Hayley and Mark throughout the whole process was fantastic. Every time I rang I got an answer straight away. Spoke to megan a few times and she was fantastic as well. These guys really know how to look after people and are really good estate agents ! Would definitely sell with them in the future. Thanks again for all your hard work

Acorn Estate Agents Camberwell
If you're selling your house I'd avoid Acorn Estate Agents in Camberwell at all costs, if however you want to start a circus ... then they're are the people to go to as it appears they're all vying to be clowns. The house is in an affluent part of south London and prepped to a high standard. Guess what? They couldn't get me an offer in over six months. It was often comical at one point some clueless punter was taken to see the house 5 times ... with all his family. I mean the house is nice but it isn't Windsor castle, 5 viewings? Who has ever heard of that?!Their excuse was that the house was "full of old fings". By that they meant Georgian antiques and paintings. What does my furniture have to do with selling the house? They then suggested to reduce the house price by 30k as the market had "changed in the past two weeks". And all this for 2% commission! More fool me ... or you if you decide to hitch your wagon to these donkeys.Describe Acorn Estate Agents in Camberwell in three words?Clueless, asinine, unprofessional.

Good Company
Dealing with Alex Sealey at Acorn, Helpful, polite, straightforward and a thoroughly nice bloke all the way through. Didnt end up completing with them in the end (long story) but would't hesitate to use them in future, mainly due to his handling of my enquiry this time out.
Thank you for leaving us a 5* review. We are really happy that you were pleased with the service you received from Alex. If I can help further please do let me know. Thanks. Andrew Roberts - Customer Relations Manager

Incredibly poor experience as a tenant
Incredibly poor experience as a tenant. Consistently not answering to emails, many broken promises and frustration. After a month in the flat, some things promised to be fixed when we moved in are still broken. Takes a lot of time and effort to deal with, avoid if possible.
26/03/19 Dear Renato. I have spoken to the Property Management team and I believe that you have now spoken to one of our Team Leaders. The items that were conditional on the let being agreed were dealt with promptly, but I do understand that you raised a number of issues after you moved on. Obviously agreement on these items is required by the landlord and our PM team had attempted to achieve without delay but appreciate that our communication could have been better. I can only apologise for this and am sure all items will be resolved very soon. If I can help further please let me know. Thanks. Andrew26/03/19 Dear Renato. I am sorry to hear about your experience. I am a landlord
I am a landlord, and I used Acorn to let my property. At the end of the first year of the lease, I asked for a renewal of the tenancy for another year. They dropped the ball at every turn. We are now well into the renewal period, and I am still waiting for confirmation as to whether I even have a contract with my tenant. Last I heard (about 3-4 weeks ago), the tenant had comments on the contract I had e-signed, and it was in the agent's hands to take care of this. I chased but no response. When I called over a week ago, the particular agent who was responsible for my file was on holiday (again - not the first time). I asked (pleaded) for someone else to step in and finish the job but was told I would just have to wait for my agent's return the following week. A week has now passed, and I've heard nothing from her. The worst part is that I already paid them the (high) fee they charged for such a simple job (as I had assumed the contract was done when I e-signed - stupid me, I shouldn't have done this). I will not use this agency ever again and would caution any other landlord to avoid them.

This was by far the worst tenancy andβ¦
This was by far the worst tenancy and property management experience I have ever endured in my 10 years of living in London and now Sutton at Northumberland House. I have recruited roles in PM and can assure you that the standard of property management is exceptionally low, it was rarely visited, and security was frequently used to fill in the gaps. It takes months for anything to get fixed and communication is at a minimum. Tenants should be at the heart of the business, not a number and forgotten about. My advice would be to go to a more reputable property agent. Avoid, you will regret dealing with them...

Unprofessional liars who try to take your money before an offer is even accepted
A very unprofessional company with very unprofessional staff, Nicholas impartcular. I asked to put an offer on a flat. An email was sent immediately telling to make an offer and to transfer Β£500 deposit. Of course I was not going to give them my money until and offer was accepted. I never got a response from the email so emailed him to confirm he had received it. Still nothing. After not hearing from him at all for two days I called the office and spoke to A colleague who said it was pending and Nicholas would call me. 2 days later my boyfriend called up to chase the offer again. Nicholas then lied to my boyfriend and said he had already called me to tell me our offer hadnt been accepted. He then spoke to me very rudely still saying he had called me to tell me that. Such a liar and totally rubbish at his job. Stay clear of these and Iβm now really glad that I didnβt get the flat as having this company as your estate agent would be a nightmare.

Professional thieves!!! Beware of them.
Guys, please don't go near them. They took my Β£250 pounds . Told me they are checking my preference for over a month. They tell lies, unprofessional, raised their voice when talking to you. Push you around themselves. They are fraudsters, posing under letting disguise. I promise them I'll get my money back. They wasted our time chasing refrence. We spent one month and some days trying to rent from them. Not knowing, thru have already given the house to someone else, while they made us chase after nothing. They work together with FCC paragon. Doing nothing, but rip people off their had earned money. I wish there's no star to describe them.

I am following up to my prior review toβ¦
I am following up to my prior review to let everyone know that Acorn continues to drop the ball. After the last episode - where they managed somehow to 'forget' about an ongoing lease renewal I had asked them to take care of, letting the matter slip well into the renewal period and then failing to address with me or my tenant any of my tenants comments on the terms of the lease - I now find myself having to apologise to my tenant for their incompetence. I have now returned from a business trip to find a letter dated February 26, indicating that they still had not received my instruction to complete the legally mandated gas inspection. In fact, I had instructed them, in an email dated Feb 18, which I have since forwarded to them.To their credit, the manager did contact me following my last review to apologise and offer a very small discount off their renewal fee (which was very high considering it's simply some paperwork for a renewal). And he was able to do something to ensure the agent in charge of my account sprung into action. But this was only because of his intervention. At the end of the day, Acorn can't keep tabs on anything they touch. I would strongly caution against using them. My only reservation is that the entire estate/rental agency industry is rife with incompetence, so I don't know if other agencies will be better. I do believe the industry is in need of greater regulation and oversight.

Generally fine, but painfully slow at releasing deposit.
Generally fine, however our erstwhile landlords approved the condition that we left the flat in nearly 6 weeks ago. We are still waiting for Acorn to release our deposit. It has been waiting for a manager's sign-off for over two weeks.
Hi John D. Sorry to read this. Would you be able to email me the full address please and I will chase this up and find out what is happening. Thanks. Andrew Roberts - Customer Relations Manager (andrew.roberts@acorngroup.co.uk)

Not professional, lie, threatening, unskilled
Not professional, threatening, doesn't give out the right information, lie to tenant and lie to landlord just for their own benefit so bad for both side really. I got told off, threaten and accused of not being grateful because they believe that THEY CALLED to give me a good suggestion as they believe they were doings me a favor as a result of me asking questions on some sensitive issue which i'd like to know more information on before making decision. Inventory check is not accurate and use a twist in wording to charge you. Property manager is amateur and poorly trained and bad communication. Threatening, charge twice for fee by mistake and didn't even realise or check until I raised the issue , rude and raise their voice when being challenge with some questions and facts and threatening you that you will be charged a lot of amount if you don't listen or so things their way .. but can't answer any of your questions

Rubbish
Rubbish. Never deal with this agency. They are liars and brigands. They will mix all your documents, instead of your name you will get someone else name. Instead of your one price you was agreed in a contract you will receive totally different one in your contract. Troublesome agency. Stay away from them. Specially from Katie McGill, their property manager. I would love to with their higher authorities to speak about the service I receiving. At least to dismiss some people from their position for their unprofessional service. Save your nerves and time. I warn you! The worst customer service I ever experienced in my entire life!
