We bought and sold using Preston Baker and would definitely recommend them. Their photographer is amazing, the open day system is convenient and effective at generating offers and the staff were really helpful. In particular Sam in the Sheffield office was always very friendly and Catherine in Leeds office was very reassuring during the whole process.

Terrible customer service especially from head office. They don’t pass messages on, they laugh at you, have a ‘I don’t care’ attitude and always seems to be the customers fault because there is no notes on your file. We are serious buyers and have had to keep chasing them to confirm bookings and they won’t do weekends. Definitely wouldn’t recommend to buy or sell with them.

Fantastic customer service from Julie & Gemma

We had been with a different estate agent for months assuming they were the best option in Shadwell due to their marketing presence in the village. Having seen the property across the road sold through Preston Baker we decided to switch and immediately regretted not doing so sooner. Within a matter of days Julie and Gemma sold our property but not only that they followed up at every opportunity after the initial sale to keep things moving a long and keep us informed of how things were progressing. From this experience we would highly recommend Preston Baker, they are very experienced and know what they are doing, and most importantly clearly understand their customers.

This is the worst agent I have dealt with PRESTON BAKER LEEDS MOORTOWN branch! The service and attitude was completely awful, dealt with Dave (David) who was a right cocky so and so but was soon put in his place as he claimed to know everything about market and price etc but was soon out in his place when I countered his arguments with proven facts about my property and the surrounding area, oh the look on his face was priceless!!!Staff at the branch were clueless and very unhelpful, glad I went with a rival agent who were able to deliver and not promise everything on earth and deliver very little!

It took 11 months to finally get the keys to our dream home. Louise Kelly from Selby branch was amazing. COVID caused lots of delays, with furloughs, buyers pulling out and most solicitors and mortgage lenders working from home. Moving during these unprecedented times have been very stressful and at times I honestly thought it would never happen. I trusted Louise, who has worked all the way through, every step of the way. She has done everything possible to ensure the sale and purchase of the properties. Thank you Louise, you have been amazing. Moving during these times is definitely not for the feint hearted!

Awful company Awful company. Engaged an agent who did not perform. Lied about photos, claiming to 'take professional photos'and rocked up with an ipad. Was forced into moving agents, now being chased for payment of a service they didn't provide. Ignored everything I said and made their own judgements.

Thanks to Preston Baker we are now happy first time landlords. First contacts were with Duncan who came to do the valuation and then answered all of our questions. I had no reserve in signing the contract after speaking to him. Great professionalism. I can't praise enough the letting manager, Tom Hawes, who took care of the viewings and kept constantly in touch with us through all the process (despite us being abroad). We got excellent offers at the property launch and we just had to choose. Tom was really helpful also at that stage. He listened and understood our needs and everything went smooth. Also our tenants confirmed that their dealing with the agency and with Tom in particular was an excellent experience. Thanks to Tom and all staff at Preston Baker, working very hard through these difficult times.

As buyers looking in a competitive marketplace, Preston Baker have been great. They are certainly the most pro-active agents we've come across and Laura has been a huge help in helping our search! Absolutely horrible experience as first time buyers. This agency is using independent contractors who are completely incompetent! We tried to purchase a property through them. The independent contractor Danielle C showed us the property and reassured us more than 10 times it was of standard construction. After over 500 gbp paid in agency fees and 2 months of paperwork, the bank came back to us to say it's non-standard! The agency refuses to give us a refund and to acknowledge that they have made a mistake of not properly checking and advertising the property! What a nightmare!

Heartless and Unprofessional. If I could give zero stars, I would. After my mother tragically passed away during the process of selling her bungalow, we had no choice but to withdraw from the sale due to the emotional and logistical upheaval. Instead of showing any compassion or understanding, this estate agent refused to return our deposit, adding insult to an already devastating situation after previously being told by Kirsty that in extreme circumstances these had been refunded - I feel this is as extreme as it gets? Before this, there had been issues of potential buyers turning up without viewings, and also when we had accepted an offer also the buyer turning up a handful of times within 1 week to see why it was taking so long.. Their lack of empathy and outright refusal to accommodate the circumstances was appalling. The entire experience with this company was nothing short of a nightmare and has definitely felt more towards the sales than the “small run” company they make out to be. Even having contact with owners, who just passed it on to Kirsty herself. Avoid this agency at all costs. They are heartless, unprofessional, and clearly prioritise profit over people to which I am now seeking legal advice. A deeply upsetting experience that I would not wish on anyone.

Great service with PB. Sold and bought in through this agent and they were great with the process. Helped massively with the solicitors and buyers/ sellers to get everything over the line. Can honestly say they went above and beyond. Having tried to sell my house in the past with another agent, I know what poor service can look/feel like. However, I am very pleased with Preston Baker. Dealt with the Cross Gates team in Leeds. Cathy was passionate and energetic from the word go, and Adam was a star as he kept me constantly informed of progress. He often went beyond his remit to help out, and made me feel Preston Baker were as keen on selling the house as I was.
