As a first time buyer I was pretty clueless about what was involved in arranging a mortgage and buying a house, Minnie and the team at Preston Baker could not have been more helpful. They were really approachable, replied to my emails promptly and keep me up to date with the whole process. I have already recommended them to my friends.

I went with my gut instinct after James came to value my house, he was very knowledgeable of house prices in my area. The staff at Preston Baker are friendly and efficient. We clearly made the right choice in selecting Preston Baker (York) to expertly guide us through to achieving the successful sale of our home.From the initial valuation, current housing market analysis through to the very professional and innovative marketing photos and descriptive text we found their clear support, in depth, to be impressive compared to other agents we had considered.Preston Baker communications between all parties - viewers, buyers, surveyors, solicitors and us plus the added bonus of them always taking time to keep the builder of our new house informed, was first class and invaluable.Angela Williams - Client Service Manager, was an absolute rock throughout the many twists and turns of a house sale. She could always be relied upon to calmly and cheerfully alleviate our many concerns, "what if, what next etc" questions raised throughout the process. I have had 3 letting agencies look…

I have had 3 letting agencies look after the property I live in currently and another in the property before this one. Preston Baker have been the best out of the 4. As someone who rents it’s not always felt like home due to our landlord not allowing any changes and often completing jobs in the cheapest and not always most efficient or aesthetically pleasing way. Hannah came for a routine inspection and it’s the first time in over 8 years at this property that she made me feel like this was my home and that I had more rights and options as a tenant. (I told her this at the time) she was friendly, polite, kind and honest too and it made such a difference. Inspections can feel intrusive and she made sure it wasn’t. Thanks Hannah.

When my son moved my property to go…

When my son moved out my property to go to Australia I let him find a company to manage it during rental as I live in Newcastle He found various companies but Preston Baker struck him with being the most professional while not the cheapest but like they say you get what you pay for!!!& since it’s rental duration from June 2019 has been handled expertly especially Rebekkah Walden who is so efficient whenever she gets in touch about anything to do with the property and always returns information you need when she’s states obviously you don’t want to have to hear from her but she always carries out your instructions expertly and on time taken the pain of repairs away from the owner in a very friendly manner

Elle Pheasey has been my point of contact since my offer was accepted. She has been amazing throughout with regular check ins, sharing updates I didnt always have and swift replies to all enquiries. The purchase itself has been extremley difficult (due to no fault of Elle or Preston Baker) but Elle has always been available to try and resolve any issues as quickly as possible in the best interest of both parties and chase solicitors when required. I would highly recommend and would be more than happy to use Preston Baker for any future sales or purchases :)

Cannot emphasise how great they are

Cannot emphasise how great Preston Baker have been with the sale of our house. We chose to list during September of 2020…yeah. Their covid precautions were meticulous and sensible. Their price was a little higher than the rest but the safety was 100% worth it for us. Additionally their launch day stratagem helped us achieve more than we expected. Interestingly after our viewings we were advised against taking the highest offer as they felt it would give us less bother and a more accommodating buyer and we took this advice. Our purchase of our new property has gone on far longer than we care so things aren’t over yet but their staff have expertly balanced our purchase and sale and have kept our buyer on board so far. Fingers crossed it continues. Big shout out to Charlotte in Doncaster and to Jenny and Lindsey from the financial services team. Cannot rate any of them highly enough.

Our property purchase was through Preston Baker. The process for numerous reasons ended up being quite complicated and stressful especially with the lead up to the stamp duty holiday cut off but Elle @ Preston Baker made sure everything got across the line in the end. She kept us updated at every stage & was always available for a call to discuss anything. I was very glad to be working with an estate agent as diligent and on the ball as Elle was. If Elle her self wasn't available there was always someone else at Preston Baker to help.

Persistence and determination in helping us sell!

Professional Service

Everything about PB was professional. From the house valuation, to the photos and brochure, the overall viewings and selling of our property was a wonderful experience. Elle took a lot of the pressure off us and worked so hard in supporting us with our sale and purchase. She answered all calls and emails and she really got us the price we wanted for our property. We sold our property relatively quickly and had numerous viewings and plenty of forward booked viewings which we ended up cancelling due to agreeing the offer we wanted. We could not have asked for a better service.Clara was also a great support for days when Elle had a days off and was on the ball with things. I think Oakwood PB are doing a wonderful job in supporting their clients but the rapport between Elle and Clara is clear that there is a lot of support between the both of them and this shows in their hard work.Thank you so much to Elle, we would not have been able to do this without you.
