A female director at York Office facilitated the transaction. Poor customer service and poor attitude. Letigimate requests questioned or declined. Worst experience ever.

Worst experience of my life I thought being logical if I'm buying of them I'll sell with them nothing logical there they wanted for me to move into rental accommodation why as they said you'll be in in no time it took 2 years 4 months so much for no time and they actually got the dates wrong the put me with a solicitor who doesn't do new builds then with 2 solicitors who couldn't communicate there so much more you wouldn't belive me all I can say like most people I know say don't go with them waste of space

Whilst we completely understand the stress this process must have caused, as we have discussed at length throughout our thorough investigation of your complaint, we as the sales and marketing agent, do not confirm moving dates, it is your solicitor that confirms this. Unfortunately we were unable to release keys to you on the day you arrived with your furniture, as you had not legally exchanged contracts and therefore were not the legal owner. This was our very first house viewing with the current Covid restrictions in place. We were greeted by Naomi who had a lovely big warm smile on her face and we immediately felt welcomed and at ease. It worked out well!In that I was persuaded to use PB to sell our old house, I am finally relieved the house has almost sold. The magic launch wasn't so magic. It took another financial hit to promote its advertising. Even then it has actually gone slightly below the price in less than 2 months.It will take another maybe 3 to get it through to conveyancing so we're not finalised yet by a long way. Staff have been fine with me; there was just a quirk of legalisms affected me with their solicitors but the office locally worked it out quickly enough. Just being honest and transparent!

Laura has been friendly, professional and approachable throughout and I couldn’t recommend Preston Baker enough.

If you could vote 0 stars I would. I received awful service from this company. I arranged a viewing for 5pm on a Wednesday. I left work early to attend this viewing to only be stood outside in the freezing rain. Nobody turned up for 10 minutes so I called the office. Someone then told me that nobody was turning up to the viewing and there excuse was that someone had infact called me twice and I had no voicemail so they couldn’t leave a message. I was working Wednesday so that’s why I missed the calls, to be working on a Wednesday afternoon is completely normal and Preston baker had myEmail address and my phone number to either leave a message or send an email. I left work early to attend this viewing too. They then told me the property was off the market. So the company will have known someone was taking the property and they were still arranging viewings probably as a back up for them so they didn’t lose money. To make it even worse I have been on the internet today looking for properties and they STILL haven’t taken the property down. Disgusting service. I haven’t had a phone call or an email apologising or keeping in touch like they said with any other properties. DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENTS.
Hi Kirby, you'd be right to vote zero stars after the service you have received. It was a newer member of staff that tried calling you to cancel the viewing, and you are right, they should have emailed you if they couldn't reach you by phone. I have implemented training with the individual to ensure this doesn't happen in the future. I know that doesn't help your situation, but I can assure you this won't happen again. The reason we attempted to call you was because the someone else viewing the property had made an offer that the landlord had accepted, therefore viewing the property would have been a waste of your time. The property is still live on our website as the Landlord has not yet finalised a tenancy. This is standard practice in the industry and it is not an attempt for us not to lose money. It is a mechanism to ensure the landlord has the time to run through his checks with the applicant, once those checks have passed, then the property is taken off the market. It is the equivalent of Sold Subject to Contract that happens on property sales. I have spoken to our Head of Valuations and he will be in touch personally to run through this with you. I have instructed him to waive any tenancy fees should we be successful in finding you a property to rent. I hope that goes some way to compensate you for the inconvenience you have experienced. My sincerest apologies that this escalated to the stage you needed to post this review. This isn't the way I want Preston Baker to run, and it will be a good opportunity for us to improve in the future. Kind regards, Bradley ~ Team PB.

We've viewed several properties with Preston Baker and were especially impressed with their member of staff called Ish. He's showed us round a few different houses and was so thorough, pointing out opportunities, things to look out for when viewing different houses and also wasn't affraid to point out issues with the property. We haven't bought yet, so can't comment further but both my wife and I have both commented how he's been the best house viewer we've dealt with.

We would like to place on record our thanks for the diligent and unceasing efforts of all the staff at Preston Baker. Everyone was so helpful and keen to assist with the sale of our house and enabled us to move into our new home. Ashley especially, was constantly making phone calls to both ourselves and all the other couples in the sale and greatly assisted in bringing the house sale to a very successful conclusion, which at times appeared an impossible task. I would wholeheartedly recommend Preston Baker to anyone else considering selling their property.

Just wanted to say how helpful and attentive Naomi Tilsley was from the Moortown branch she accommodated us to get a viewing last minute had so much knowledge about the property and suggested other properties that fitted our budget. Pleasure to work with her in the fast rapid market as other agents are quite difficult to engage.

Probably a great service if you are selling a big house but the fixed fee and VAT which although you are told about in passing added another £400 on!! I sold a flat and they made all the profit more than the solicitor who did all the work. Why i went with them was I was told it would do really well with the property launch. Not one viewer and low and behold they already had a cash buyer lined up. They did very little effort for lots of money. Biggest bug bare is low value houses should not have to pay same. They promised weekly updates which never happened. When i complained was told the estate agent would speak with her manager and heard nothing. Naively as well i listened when they said other estate agents struggle to sell the flats yet i was approached by two estate agents in first month it was up for sale. Overall they did sell quick but certainly a lot of blagging to make you feel no one could compete and they will jump hoops for you which isnt what happens. I could have saved a lot going with a different estate agent.
