Would really recommend Starkey and Brown. I changed my estate agent after feeling that the original one wasn’t really working for me and I had no regrets swapping to Starkey and Brown. From the initial contact with Cara, then Aimee and then Lucy they have been nothing but professional and personable but more importantly I have felt throughout that they were doing everything possible to get the sale of my home. They managed the majority of the viewings and communicated often in order to keep me regularly updated on all aspects of the sale.

Avoid at all cost anyone thinking of using these to rent their property through or anyone thinking of renting of them they are terrible very unprofessional and bad at looking after maintenance of your home. The last straw for me was late June 2025 when after waiting a year and a half for them to paint my windows and doors back and front of my home .A guy turned up called Danny he hadn't got a clue didn't sand and prep properly used no undercoat or primer was meant to use gloss he used matt ,he missed areas completely and you can see patches allover where he didn't sand down properly, he took 16hours in total and also damaged a Laura Ashley blind in the bathroom with paint its ruined. Complaind to head of lettings Aimee Murphy who was a complete bully and said im sick of you and your house then after calling head office she was all over me saying we all have bad days I really like you it was so false it was unreal I later found out the guy who did the paintwork was from the company they use DS Projects and the company boss is Aimee Murphys partner so I didn't stand a chance. Kay Bardsley came to inspect and agreed it wasn't right and she would speak to my landlord 12 weeks on ive heard nothing she won't speak to me and everyone is ghosting me .Im now having to get my mental health nurse to deal with this as its made me ill also got the local council involved who have been very supportive .I think my landlord has struck a deal with them and ive not been told its like I dont exist no one cares its really awful and if you can see this good because they keep illegally removing it that's also been looked into I'd hate anyone to go through this please avoid them.

Scunthorpe branch starkey and Brown Avoid please anyone thinking of using these to rent their property through or anyone thinking of renting of them they are very bad at looking after tenants maintenance takes for ever endless phone calls for weeks on end .The last straw for me was in June I Had waited over a year and half for them to paint the front windows and doors and the back windows and doors the guy who came was called Danny he took 16 hrs to do the work it is a complete bogged job didn't sand down properly still can see where old paint was didn't undercoat or prime didn't use gloss like I asked for used dull matt and then missed areas completely and second visit damaged with paint Laura ashley blind in the bathroom. Complained to head of lettings Aimee Murphy who was so nasty and unprofessional and then I find out its her Partner who runs the maintenance side of things DS Projects. A week Later Kay Bardsley from lettings came to see what had been done and agreed it wasn't good and said she would get back to me over 12 weeks later still waiting ignored my emails about the problem and won't answer her phone. Im now putting a complaint into head of starkey and Brown and also the council are supporting me with this but the stress has made me ill and they dont care one bit I just wish my landlord had chosen someone better to manage the property as they are not fit for purpose I did rent direct from the landlord but because of failing heath after 9 years they put it in the hands of these imbeciles .PLEASE BE WARNED I HAVE JUST BEEN TOLD BY A CLOSE FRIEND WHO RENTED OF THEM THEY WAS JUST THE SAME TO THEM. AVOID.
