GoogleKara and Lucy have been absolutely fantastic dealing with my partners house sale. If anyone is considering using Starkey & Brown, please do! We attempted to use other local agencies.. rubbish compared to Starkey. You can tell they care and put the effort in for their customers. Couldn't fault one bit, would recommend. Thanks team

GoogleLucy was absolutely amazing from start to finish! She helped us with both our sale and purchase, and as we were in a chain of five, there were plenty of stressful moments. Lucy was always kind, responsive and went above and beyond to chase other agents and sort out problems when things weren’t moving. Even when we collected the keys, she greeted us with the biggest smile and made us feel so welcome. You can genuinely tell she cares about her clients. We couldn’t recommend Lucy highly enough, thank you for everything!

I bought my house recently through Starkey and Brown and Lucy was lovely, she kept me updated on everything, answered all my questions and never rushed me or made me feel as i was wasting her time and was very professional, had no problem buying through them and would do so again.

GoogleStarkey & Brown were recommended to us by a friend. Having used various local estate agents over recent years I can safely say they are one of the best we have used. I cannot fault them for being there for us at all times, managing the process seamlessly and keeping us informed at every step of the way. Would definitely recommend.

GoogleSince becoming a property developer/landlord I have dealt with numerous estate agents over the years. The staff at Starkey and Brown have been exceptional, professional, prompt and thorough. I can highly recommend them whether you are buying, selling, as a landlord or a tenant. They sometimes even answer emails way past office hours (maybe I shouldn't be promoting that, sorry Kay!) TrustpilotWe had our house on the market with…
We had our house on the market with Starkey & Brown from April 26 and only had 4 viewings in all. Some of the staff were okay but not very good communication or checking in with us. I had to keep calling them for updates I also did my own marketing which led to one of the viewings and I let S & B know about it. The last viewing before we terminated the contract was a farce and was booked while we were away on holiday, so it was a rush to clean the house as well as packing for our holiday. We also had to drop off the house key and my husband turned up because the front of the place was closed due to flooding so my husband went in the back door and was rudely spoken to by a female staff member. Then when the viewing took place the person doing it left our light on the whole time we were away and no feedback was given either but it was due to the person not returning a callback which S & B requested. Not happy.

I appreciate that four viewings over the period of marketing was frustrating. I understand that you also promoted the property yourself through social media, and we were made aware of the viewing that resulted from this. In terms of communication, we always aim to keep vendors updated throughout the marketing process, and I’m sorry if you felt you had to contact us for updates rather than feeling sufficiently informed by the team. With regard to the final viewing, I appreciate that the timing was inconvenient as you were preparing to go away. The appointment was arranged through the usual booking process, and we appreciate that viewings can sometimes require a degree of flexibility when a property is being marketed. I’m sorry to hear that your husband felt he was spoken to rudely when attending the office to drop off the key. That is not the experience we would want anyone to have when dealing with our team. Regarding the light being left on, I appreciate that this was frustrating, particularly as you were away. In terms of the feedback from the viewing, we did attempt to contact the viewer afterwards but unfortunately they did not return our calls, so we were unable to obtain any further feedback from them. GoogleI must say my experience with Starkey & Brown has been delightful. As a first-time renter, I was inexperienced with the responsibility of renting. Kay has been unbelievably helpful in every aspect. She sat down with me and explained everything in a manner that I could understand. I know a lot of people who have had bad experiences with estate agents, and I am glad Kay has removed that anxiety for me. I have yet to experience such good customer service to this date. You can tell Kay enjoys her job due to how much effort and attitude towards her role. She was contactable at any time, and always open to answer questions. If I am ever in the position of moving, or even buying in the future. I will be contacting Kay straight away. Thankyou again! :)

GoogleCan't recommend Starkey & Brown enough. Put my house on the market and it was sold within two weeks, genuinely wasn't expecting it to move that quickly. Got just below asking price too, which I was really happy with given how fast it all happened. The team were friendly and properly professional throughout, always helpful when I had questions (and I had a lot of them). Rate they charged was good as well, no complaints there. If you're thinking about selling, give them a call. Made the whole process so much easier than I thought it'd be.

GoogleI honestly cannot recommend Anita highly enough. Selling my home has been quite an emotional and stressful journey, and having Anita there from day one made such a difference. She kept me informed every step of the way and was always so kind, understanding and genuinely empathetic towards my situation. Whenever I needed to talk, Anita always had time for me. I never felt rushed or like I was being a nuisance, no matter how many questions I had! She was always patient, reassuring and more than happy to explain things and put my mind at ease. What I have loved most about Anita is how warm and genuine she is. She never made me feel like I was just another client. When contracts had finally been exchanged, I could genuinely feel how happy and excited she was for me. It meant so much to know that she really cared and was genuinely delighted that I had finally reached this point. After what has been a long and sometimes difficult process, having someone like Anita supporting me along the way has meant more than she probably realises. Thank you so much, Anita, for all your hard work, kindness, patience and support. You have been absolutely amazing, and I am so grateful. I would wholeheartedly recommend Starkey & Brown to anyone selling their home, but especially Anita. She is a real credit to the company. ❤️

GoogleAbsolutely amazing from start to finish! Kay was fantastic and took all the stress out of the whole process for me. I was actually on holiday while securing my new house, but Kay handled everything for me and made sure I didn’t have to worry about a thing. She was always so helpful, quick to respond to any questions and kept me updated throughout. As I had never moved out of a tenancy before, Kay also took the time to talk me through the process and explain everything I needed to know about ending my tenancy agreement, which I really appreciated. I honestly couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you so much,for making the whole experience so easy and stress-free!
