These guys have been nothing short of amazing. We both sold & bought through them & the service we received from start to finish was faultless. We sold our house within a matter of days and also had an offer accepted on the home we’ve now bought in the same time frame. We were kept in the loop at every stage & every time we needed assistance there was always someone to help, the staff really know their stuff & they were always happy to help when we had any queries. I cannot recommend Anita at Starkey & Brown highly enough. I listed my house with them at the end of July 2025, and by the end of September an offer had already been accepted, which was fantastic. The whole process was going smoothly until, unfortunately, my solicitors suddenly ceased trading. This was an incredibly stressful situation, but Anita was absolutely amazing throughout. As soon as she found out, she immediately helped by sourcing quotes for new solicitors and provided me with excellent recommendations straight away. I decided to go with the solicitors Anita recommended, and they have been absolutely brilliant. Thanks to Anita’s quick action and support, within just a week of my previous solicitors ceasing trading, my sale was back on track and picked up exactly where it had left off. Used these guys to sell quite a small property which was tenanted so a little trickier to deal with and coordinate viewings etc. Ben was brilliant from start to finish and his valuation was spot on. We recently purchased a property marketed through Starkey & Brown and received excellent customer service from start to finish. They are a genuinely lovely, personable company who really care about their clients. Unfortunately, our sale initially fell through, which meant our purchase was put on hold. It was a very stressful time, but our wonderful sellers kindly waited while we found another buyer, and Starkey & Brown were incredibly supportive throughout the whole process. Finding the right property is exciting, but navigating the buying process can be daunting. Thankfully, we had Angie from Starkey & Brown on our side! From the first conversation, Angie was professional and friendly. She clearly explained the next steps and kept us informed throughout the entire purchase. Angie was fantastic at chasing up the seller's side, ensuring a smooth flow of communication. Her proactive approach meant we were not left waiting or wondering about what was happening next. Unfortunately, it took some time for our purchase to progress due to delays with the seller's chain. The lack of communication from their solicitors was causing a lot of stress, especially with delays in the seller’s chain. Had we not had Angie chasing updates and proactively contacting other parties involved, we would have walked away. Angie did not just chase updates; she suggested the eventual fix to the issue holding the completion up. Her expertise in handling communication between all parties was invaluable. There were times when we were not sure whether we would ever complete, but Angie was always patient and happy to answer all our questions, no matter how small. Her constant reassurance and proactive approach were a lifesaver. Thanks to Angie's dedication, clear communication, and problem-solving skills, we finally have a completion date and could not be happier. We cannot recommend her highly enough!

This is a very late review as I sold a property with you nine months ago.I felt I wanted to write a review because a property in the road I live in has just gone up with the agent I originally used my first thoughts were o dear. I originally had a valuation from you and the other Estate agent and unfortunately decided to go with the other agent what a mistake that was. I had Frazer Cobb out to value my property and he was very helpful. The other Estate agent got me no viewings except on the last day when I was swopping to Starkey and Brown. When I changed to Starkey and Brown I got four viewings and two offers the day after it went on Rightmove, One at near asking price and one at asking price admittedly I had lowered the price slightly on moving agents. I was not pushed to do this by Fraser he would have gone at the same asking price that was my choice. So thank you Fraser, Sophie for negotiating the sale and Angie for progressing the sale.

Angie and the rest of the staff at Starkey & Brown were wonderful to deal with; they understood that as fist time buyers we may need a little more a helping hand, and this was no trouble for them. Just had a very recent horrendous and negative dealing with this estate agents. They advertised a 3 - bedroomed property in Lincoln for sale that was something of which I was looking for. During the first initial viewing I was told directly to my face by the agent that the gas fire was fully operational and worked perfectly. So, as you do, you take it as the truth has been told. "WHY ELSE WOULD THEY NOT TELL THE TRUTH"? After moving in to the property I could not get the gas fire to work and noticed the chimney escape was TAPED UP. Two weeks after the purchase a large A4 envelope arrived through my door with the GAS FIRE SAFETY NOTICE stating that in 2020 the fire had been condemned due to a BLOCKED FLU" so therefore condemned and capped off. At no stage prior to the purchase was I sent any photocopies of such condemnation certificates to look through and make my own mind up as to whether I still wanted the property or not?!! After getting the boiler fully serviced two days after getting these gas fire safety notices the gas technician stated that normally a blocked flu is the result of the chimney having a blockage ie bricks coming loose etc and can be very expensive to rectify. So my point is this... "WHY WAS THIS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION NOT DISCLOSED AT ANYTIME TO ME VERBALLY OR IN ANY DESCRIPTION"? My disappointment is that this very important information was (so I feel) deliberately withheld so I go through with the sale and without the possibility of me wanting to shave some of the asking price off or even pulling out from the sale altogether. The persistent harassment phone calls from Angie were bad enough, but the gas fire was the cherry on the cake! The score of which I have given reflects the way I have been treated as a PURCHASER AND NOT AS A PERSON. If I could have given NO STARS then I would. When I sell my property STARKEY AND BROWN will not be on my list of estate agents to approach.
