GoogleI telephoned to make enquiries about viewing a property. I am clinically vulnerable. The property is vacant. I asked if I'd be able to look with agent in attendance but not in same room. Safeguarding the property was the mantra! I explained agent could observe from other rooms and was refused. I'm at a total loss. Surely this is at very least poor customer service and at worst discriminatory. The sales individual even went off to ask for further guidance and came back with the "safeguarding the property" mantra. JW Woods will only let me view with agent in same room! This would quite possibly endanger my health. Disgusting attitude, very dissapointed.

GoogleA Pleasure to deal with We were moving after 35 years in the same house, and trying to find another home was far from successful. However, we eventually found a property for sale via JW Wood. From the first contact with the Chester le Street office, all the staff were a pleasure to deal with. Every time we had a query, or needed to arrange another visit, they were friendly, professional, and showed genuine interest in our situation, and went out of their way to help. We finally got our new home, late June, and a big thanks to the Wood's team for all their help, it really did help reduce the stress!

GoogleJames runs a local company. Whilst we'd sold our house in 7 days (subject to offer and then contract ) at higher than asking price, it was obvious that he'd priced our property too low. We took his services at a higher cost on the basis of them doing the viewings (we did all 14) and also their service keeping us up to date with the sale(for 6 plus weeks it was us chasing them for vital information such as our buyer’s obtaining a mortgage. After an open frank discussion where James assured me that they were doing the work and liason with buyers from then on communication improved and whilst our chain tetered Winn's kept pushing. I did ask for a credit for some of the above it wasn't forthcoming.

GoogleHaving previously used the services of JW Wood in the purchase and subsequent resale of my Father in Law’s flat, some three years later. They couldn’t have been more helpful and proactive. So when we decided to review any downsizing options, their help and honest evaluation of our situation helped us to come to the conclusion that, for the foreseeable future at least, we were better placed where we currently live. However we would certainly use their services again should we need them.
