When the sale was faltering due to complications arising from selling a tenanted property, it was Jenny who was contacting both sets of solicitors on my behalf and making headway - she completed work that should ordinarily come from the agents involved. GoogleAfter putting in an offer on a property I was not contacted to let me know whether it was accepted or not. I called on several occasions, leaving voice messages and discussing my situation with one of the employees, who said they would call me back, they didn't. A few days later the owners had another viewing. They also offered on the property, I did not know this, I presumed this had happened when I looked on the website where the property had been removed? Much to my dismay I might add!! I was not informed of this or was not asked if I would like to increase my offer. In fact I was not contacted at all. I called again and left a message for the relevant person and was guaranteed that someone would call me back...guess what? THEY DIDN'T!!
By the end of the day I was very frustrated and called again. When asked about my offer, I was then informed that the property had sold to a higher offer. My response was, 'it would have been nice to have had a call to let me know', the response I had from the agent was rude and verbally aggressive. I was very shocked and disappointed in their response considering their motto is 'TREAT PEOPLE HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED'.
I complained to the manager through email and placed a counter offer.
What did I hear? NOTHING!
I went to see the owner who informed me that I had offered two very low offers. NOT TRUE!!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
RUDE AND IGNORANT
NON RESPONSIVE

Many thanks for your review. I'm sorry that you weren't able to secure the property you were potentially interested in due to other interested parties in the property. We appreciate how frustrating as a buyer this can be and the anxiety caused especially in the busy market we face at present with the pressure of the end of the stamp duty holiday looming.
With regards to your situation I would like to address the points you have raised. The day after the viewing when contacted for your feedback, you stated that you weren't interested in taking things forward with the property as it was not connected to mains gas.
At a later stage, you then put forward a significantly lower offer than the asking price, which our vendor was rather upset and offended by. In the meantime, another offer was also received and put forward to the vendor to be considered alongside yours and for her discuss with her sons. Owing to the level of interest in the property and offers, at the vendors instruction, we removed the property from marketing over the weekend.
The next working day, you called in and spoke to a member of the team and were advised you would receive a call back as the person dealing with this was out of the office on appointments. You called again at 15.56 the same day when the team member you needed to speak to answered the phone. In the conversation she said that she had just got back to the office 6 minutes previously and was currently going through her messages and could see that you had called in and was due to return the call. Having now had the opportunity to discuss the situation, you were advised that a higher offer had been submitted. Unhappy at this information, you were made aware that you could put forward an increased offer. You then became hostile stating that you were going to withdraw your offer anyway as you were unhappy with the process.
Subsequently you then chose to come back with an increased offer which was also rejected as this was still lower than the other offer submitted as well as the other buyer being in a stronger position with no chain. A message was left for you advising this. You then approached the vendor directly, an elderly lady on her own who felt incredibly intimidated and uncomfortable by your behaviour, rude approach to her and manner in which you spoke, asking what the offer was she had received. This is something that any agent acting for a property is not permitted to disclose. I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot, you wouldn't want your offers to be divulged to another interest party for them to be able to take advantage of that information.
As you stated, the seller had already pointed out to you in your conversation with her that your offers were lower and she had already received an agreeable figure. Having put forward another offer, the vendor then referred you directly back to ourselves because of how she was made to feel and wished to have no further dealings with you. A message was left for you advising that the vendor wished to proceed with another buyer.
We do understand how stressful the situation is when buying and selling a property especially when you miss out. We hope that you are successful with securing a purchase going forward.
