Purchasing a house advertised by Roman's Sandhurst. As many estate agents now offer viewing days, I was disappointed to hear that the house my partner and I was interested in purchasing the viewing day was fully booked. With this and in short, we approached the sellers ourselves, arrange a private viewing and became the successful new homeowners. Our move manager, Catherine McNicholas, contacted us once. Her first and only email was of great use, it broke down the steps we needed from beginning to completion and what we could expect. Within the email Catherine said: "The first couple of weeks can feel a little quiet from us" - I didn't hear from her at all after this email. We managed to organise all elements without continuously updating her. Lewis Woodman-Allan, was supposed to be overseeing our case and was of no use. He forgot to tell the sellers that our mortgage survey was being carried out on the property which resulted in this being moved back by 2 weeks. He said he would chase our mortgage lender for the survey to be pushed forward due to his fault - he failed to do this and even though I called on two occasions to check on his progress, he failed to answer the phone and coincidentally called back once the survey had taken place. In addition, he failed to understand or communicate the collection of the keys on completion (we collected them from the sellers ourselves). Thankfully my partner and I had direct communication with the sellers from the beginning due to our desire to purchase the home (we did not know the owners prior to this). Therefore, at each point where Romans failed, we spoke directly to the sellers. I would not recommend Romans Sandhurst and will definitely not sell with them when the time comes.

Very good service by all the team at the Sandhurst office Especially Thomas Bowman who had to put up with me keep popping in and asking question after question about forms to fill in as this was my time selling. He was very helpful as well in helping me uploading forms as I am a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to the internet. He was always willing to help ,listen and act on my concerns. Very efficient and pleasant service. Sometimes things don't go to plan as you would like them to and certain delays occur, so its always nice to speak with people on the other end who are understanding throughout the whole house process. A big thank you to Reece Watmore for being so helpful and friendly. Your friendly advise and approach made my decision in choosing my home alot easier. dont often do google reviews but this guy needs one. Big thank you to Tom Bowman. Tom helped us sale our house in 3 weeks then even found us exactly what we were looking for in the location we wanted. This whole process took about 8 weeks wich if youve moved house before your know is good going. Tom was always at the end of the phone and worked continually to help us achieve exchange and completion dates. Will be using him and romans next time round

I sold my flat in Sandhurst through Romans at the end of March 2016. and moved to North Wales. Buying the Welsh property proved a long and rocky road, and I tilted at two previous properties before succeeding in buying this one. The first was lost when I withdrew from the market due to illness, and the second due to a boundary problem with which I struggled for 6 months before giving up. I also lost one of my own buyers, who withdrew without explanation. Throughout, Romans under their manager James Linder were patient, sympathetic and helpful, not to mention extremely efficient in marketing and selling the property. After each hiccup, they had the property back on the market in no time, and sold for a good price. They even helped me with all the tedious paperwork associated with buying and selling, as I have a hand problem which makes writing by hand a bit of a problem.Top marks from me!

They were knowledgable of the current market and answered all of our questions promptly. Tom sold our house within 6 weeks of it going on the market and negotiated us a good price for our property in the current market. Would highly recommend Romans.

Having recently marketed my property through Romans of Sandhurst and purchased a property through them, I have had my faith restored in their service and professionalism. The new Manager, Luke, has led the team to its strength. Building strong customer relations and ensuring that they meet a high service level. We were initially hesitant about instructing a traditional agency to sell our property as the draw of lower-cost 'internet-only' services seemed to make sense. We then met with Luke from the Sandhurst branch, whose expert knowledge of the industry, local area and advice in general was second to none, it was a clear choice. Everyone from Romans that we came into contact with during the 7 days the house was on the market were professional and courteous, reinforcing our decision to put the property on the market with Romans. Needless to say, 11 viewings in 7 days was very impressive, and more than we'd have been able to manage if conducting the viewings ourselves. The whole process from initial meeting to exchange was as smooth as it could have been, with Laura from the sales progression team keeping us up to date every step of the way.
