GoogleAfter letting out my property privately in the past and having a pretty bad experience with it I decided to use an agency, I made the decision to go with Bassets as they are letting only and I had heard good things about them. I am still amazed at how quickly they managed to find tenants (which have moved in a few days ago now) Their referencing was thorough and the whole process was very professional. I found the staff to be polite, knowledgeable and very helpful with any queries or questions I had. GoogleI couldn’t recommend Bassets Letting Salisbury any higher. From my initial consultation with them, which was over 18 months ago, I have had nothing but positive relations. Every part of the letting process was explained to me, which I can now confirm I have been through and Bassets fulfilled every one of their responsibilities with the utmost professionalism. They fully manage my property and ensure all legal, safety and domestic issues are addressed in a timely manner protecting landlord and tenants alike. The maintenance team and associated contractors have expertly rectified any issues with the property at a very good price and never with hidden charges added on. Accounts are broken down to a monthly basis, are easy to understand and I have been provided with a detailed annual summary to help with tax administration. I carry out extensive research into a company or service before utilising them however I am guilty of not always leaving online reviews. Bassets came out on top of the other Letting agents that I consulted with in all elements. I am beyond happy and felt implored to leave this positive review as it is very well deserved. GoogleI had the unfortunate pleasure of being a tenant with Bassets Lettings for 2 years. They were by far the worst agency I have ever dealt with, their biggest issues are their customer service and communication which were awful. They were quick to get in contact if they wanted anything but impossible to get in contact with if we had an issue that needed to be reported, they even failed to notify us when they had changed their reporting system for maintenance issues! We have since moved out of the property and what should be a simple process was once again made unnecessarily complicated by Bassets errors. Don't expect to get any of your deposit back either, they will find any fault they can and charge extremely inflated costs to fix these 'faults'. If you are looking at renting I would advise finding a property that isn't managed by Bassets lettings agency!

GoogleWe have used Bassets as our letting agent to manage a number of properties around the Amesbury area for the past 13 years. They have been consistently professional, prompt and utterly reliable and we have been extremely happy with the quality of service they provided. Communication is excellent, they found us some really good quality tenants and dealt promptly and efficiently with any maintenance issues. I particularly liked that they never attempted to exaggerate a property's rental potential in order to attract business and instead let the quality of their service be their selling point. Without reservation, we thoroughly recommend them to any prospective landlord.

GoogleAs a local tradesman, my job is to provide essential services to tenants, landlords and lettings agents on a very frequent basis. My business has been doing this for 20 years. I'm required to deliver my services at short notice and to slot in quickly between all other services being delivered at rental properties in order to make the 'move in' of the next tenant go smoothly. It would be all too easy for these processes to go wrong, but Bassets are a very well organised and smart company. Providing my services to Bassets, with their large portfolio of rental properties, has always been a pleasure and never a chore. They are devoted to customer satisfaction, looking after landlords/ladies and tenants and ensuring the smooth running of all move ins and outs. I get to speak to lots of Bassets customers, whether it be tenants, landlords or vendors and I only ever hear high praise. They all say the same thing: "Bassets are people-people who understand what it means to listen properly to customer's needs". The rental team at Bassets is quite a large team and as such it would be unsurprising if there were communication issues within the team....again however, the communication and team spirit they have is a winning combination. Bassets - different in all the best ways.

GoogleVery poor service and communication, told me to overpay on my rent and I would receive it back at end of tenancy, which I thought was odd. 9 days after end of tenancy and still waiting for return of my money, and although advised by bassets to pay this overpayment, when I asked for my money back told to ask the landlord myself. Really poor service

GoogleExcellent, efficient service. Had no problems whatsoever going through the rental process with Bassets. The virtual 3D tour of the property they made available was really helpful and a nice touch. Much better than just photographs.

GoogleSo far, so good. We elected to use the Bassets Fully Managed letting service and have so far been very impressed by the speed and professionalism of the company. Bassets were proactive in finding a tenant which they did in good time, offering sound advice and recommendations based on experience and vetted applications. They forgot to do a house inspection so landed it on us at the last minute at a very inconvenient time and so we were threatened with refusing access.. definitely NOT the case, simply asked to move to a more convenient time! So glad to be out of that house and from using them, will never use or recommend them for lettings or sales.

Dear Mr Olsen, Thank you for your review and we are always disappointed to obtain a poor review concerning our business especially when you consider we have no record of you being a registered Tenant at any of our properties. This fact alone does raise some interesting questions. That aside, we refute your claim we do “anything to get out of maintenance issue.” As this would indicate its Bassets who authorise maintenance/repairs and this is not the case. In order that all maintenance is dealt with efficiently we have an individually designed maintenance reporting system which is accessed via our website, with self-help videos and providing tenants an opportunity to clearly details the maintenance issue including the ability to upload photographs and videos ensuring issues can be firstly understood by Bassets, our landlords and more importantly the instructed contractor, ensuring the maintenance and repair can be actioned quickly. We also have a dedicated Maintenance Team headed by our Maintenance Manager who manages all reported maintenance handling over 2000 maintenance issues in 2020, arranging well over £310,000 worth of works (with no hidden costs to landlords might we add). We are pleased to report that the vast majority of feedback from Tenants being they have been pleased with the works carried out, the time frame, and how they were kept updated despite these very difficult times. We have already noted that we do not recognise you as a named tenant in any of our properties and must add that it’s a requirement that anyone over the age of eighteen must be named as a tenant on any tenancy agreement and thus registered on our systems. As you are not registered, we can only surmise you had resided in one of our properties without consent or you haven’t been a tenant of Bassets? However, if you have specific feedback or a formal complaint you would like to raise with Bassets Lettings, we have our complaints procedure clearly detailed on our contact us page of our website or you can speak to, Quentin Thatcher - Head of Lettings who would be happy to review your circumstances and feedback.
