GoogleDon’t bother to try their services. They never, ever, reply to enquiries sent by email. Absolute time wasters. EDIT: Seeing Thornley Groves response, I need to add this. They’ve been telling the same excuse that they are “busy” for almost 2 YEARS now, at any time of the year. If you are so busy to take care of the demand, hire more people!!!

GoogleTerrible service and poor attitude, I had around 6 or 7 viewings of my property and they would not provide any feedback at all on what people thought of it so I could make changes etc. A complete waste of my time. Only when I decided to fire them did they come back to me all apologetic. You can see from the reply that Thornley Groves customer care team have fabricated a story about what happened, they stated that on the 8th I was contacted regarding feedback, well this was not true, they called me on the 9th with a series of questions regarding what work had been carried out on the house and if I had an EICR etc. Absolutely no feedback was given on this call, just some one was interested. And there were viewings booked on Saturday 10th, I have all the email confirmations and no one contacted me regarding any of the viewings with feedback. So they are lieing to cover up the abismal service. I also spoke with my tenants at this property and they said they had also received abismal service from Thornley Groves when trying to buy a property in 2020 and they were a little shocked I was using them. As a landlord of properties managed by Thornley Groves all I can say is never again. I would not even cross there door with an enquiry regardless of how much I wanted tio buy or sell a property. The sales team are abismal and the lettings team a re a disaster and that is confirmed by my tenants too who cannot stand them as a lettings agency, they are dishonest, greedy and misleading, non communicative and the turn over of staff indicates to me just how terrible a company they are internally as well.NegativeProfessionalism
Hi Craig We’re sorry to hear you feel that our service was only 1 star. After looking into the matter of not providing any feedback, it appears that we had viewings at your property on the 7th, for which we left messages for the viewers to get feedback. Then on the 8th you emailed to complain about not having received feedback yet, and we advised you that we had left messages with the viewers for feedback. There was another viewing on the 8th, that you were given the feedback for when it came through, but on the following Monday 12th, we received your email to say that that you no longer wanted to deal with us. We appreciate that our clients want feedback as soon as possible and, where possible, we always aim to deliver on this, but unfortunately we don't always get the feedback straight away and in some cases we can’t obtain any feedback at all. It’s unfortunate that on this occasion you feel our service was poor, but we’d be glad to welcome back your custom if you were open to reconsidering. GoogleAVOID! They don't check neither the properties they're renting nor the landlords they're renting for, it's appalling! I was made to sign a 1 year contract for a basement that floods every time that rains, doesn't have smoke alarms, the electricity certificate has expired in 2018. any the Saniflow pump is not working properly leaving the flat smelling like urine permanently! Couldn't be more illegal than this! Now, the landlord doesn't answer his phone or emails and thornley groves don't take responsibility for anything and only say "is the landlord that manages the property". All my furniture is rotting, there's mold everywhere and I'm stuck paying for this joke for a full year! AVOID at All COSTS!

We are naturally sorry to hear you had a negative experience with your landlord who managed the property themselves and would suggest to avoid this in the future by renting a fully managed property whereby the agent could intervene. GoogleRented from this agency in M14, awful experience. They bought out our landlord halfway through tenancy and immediately revoked multiple statements from previous landlord (pets allowed etc). When we moved out, they complained of even specks of dust on the inventory (their photos attached), did not give us a quote about deposit deductions for 2 months and lied multiple times throughout. Absolutely avoid if looking to rent, if you are as unfortunate as us that they have taken over your lease... good luck

GoogleMixed feelings about this agency. They were very helpful at the time of negotiating the price with the vendor, but when wanted to do my own survey which took around 20 minutes ( they said I am allowed up to 30 minutes) The agent was very at unease and looked so anxious for us to leave as quickly as possible, but honestly she was answering all our questions. Before the supposed completion day, that we were only hoping for and didn't agree, I realised that my solicitor has made around 8000 pounds mistake on the amount I needed to transfer so I was trying to fix that before taking any further steps, The agent became very aggressive, shouty and unprofessional on the phone, calling me every 10 minutes for an hour. Knowingly, there were no major delays of any kind in the previous dealings other than searches taking too long which is something no one has control on. She has this policy of putting maximum pressure on others to get things done wether it is necessary, fair or not. I also kept asking her to view or at least locate the garage many times and she kept saying it is just a brick wall garage not different than any other garage and it will be there after completion. I felt she was totally on the side of the vendor. I am not going to lie she was very helpful overall and played a major part in speeding up the process but not in a civilised professional fair way.

GoogleLandlord chose another applicant for an apt, it fell through and Jodie from Sale branch remembered myself and emailed to see if I was still looking, thankfully she did as I was sofa surfing and now I’m in the apt I wanted. The team members also dealt with queries when she wasn’t in the office, so thanks to all.
