I am so glad I chose Thornley Groves with Carolyne and her team to sell my house. Their rates were competitive, but that wasn't entirely the reason I chose them. I was rewarded with a kind, professional and diligent service throughout. Even during the conveyancing process, they kept me up to date with any developments and conveyed additional information between me and my buyers. They really did go above and beyond to help our sale go through. **Update:** I want to outline some pressing concerns regarding my experience with Thornley Groves. Initially, their service was commendable; however, I have faced protracted delays in resolving ongoing issues and have experienced frequent intrusions from my landlord, which appear to have been overlooked by Akash Aponsu, the property manager. Per the agency's instructions, I contacted customer care to inquire about the warranty for the washing machine. Unfortunately, they requested specific details, such as the serial number, which I could not provide. I was informed that only the original purchaser could initiate this process, a point I relayed back to the agency. During a previous appointment, the landlord documented the state of affairs of the washing machine with photos and videos to facilitate warranty service directly. She saw the accumulated laundry due to the malfunctioning machine, which forced me to seek alternative laundry solutions. After communicating my concerns about the slow resolution and laundry backlog, Instead of a constructive response, Akash suggested I act in a "tenant-like manner." Given that I pay an annual rent upfront, this response strikes me as disappointing and unprofessional. I am left to ponder whether my treatment would vary if I were a different race, as I consistently encounter repair challenges. I hope for a prompt and constructive resolution to these matters going forward. --- Thornley Groves' service has been outstanding. The staff, particularly Charlotte Jones, has been professional, friendly, and efficient throughout the letting process. They were always available to answer my questions and made the entire process stress-free. I highly recommend Thornley Groves to anyone looking for a trustworthy, honest, and efficient letting agency.

I agree with the poor ethics reviews. Potential tenants beware. Communication terrible and when they do it’s not great. Dangled for a property for 2 weeks we were judged immediately as we were prior home owners so why want to rent? clearly during these last 2 weeks I saw their ethics and integrity, very underhand tactic's in dealing with tenants, we believe the staff at Sale- Natalie , Melissa etc were creating a bidding war when it was clear they didn’t have many applicants for this particular property but they were trying to generate it putting us on a back burner and then after weeks of telling us it’s ours another applicant is put head to head but at that point it was extremely clear we was not happy through emails etc and before continuing with our application we needed serious explanations but went ahead anyway with our application even though we wanted out and did NOT trust them - clearly this made them look good for the landlord to choose between applicants instead of just one application that you have no choice to accept- that was the situation they faced. misleading telling us we got the property then we didn’t prior - awful process, never known another estate agent to do this they do conduct business fairly. Ironically Melissa considers their last tenant as a very long term tenant for staying for 1 year / under 2 years- and then leaving earlier from the tenancy so the house was empty as they bought their own home probably was planning that from day one never planned to stay there longterm- for comparison our last tenant stayed for 10 years that is a long loyal tenant that obviously we would never treat like that. Please don’t go and rent from them staff who use phrases like everyone out the final bids in / full and final best offer is creating urgency and bidding wars please don’t go through anguish of it. Formal complaint put in and outside investigation started.

I haven’t used their services yet because whenever you call it goes the voicemail asking to leave the name and number and they would get back as the agents are busy. I wonder when they don’t pick up the calls who are they busy with? Regardless I left the name n number on multiple occasions and still waiting for them to call back. If the start is so bad… I am not sure how the services would be.

I saw some reviews but then I have a different opinion. Considering they speak very professional over the phone, their system is pathetic. Today, I saw an ad in rightmove with the info that the property was added today(at Benbow Street, Sale) and when I enquired in the call through Rightmove, they said we don't see any properties in our system. There is something seriously wrong within the system and can't trust the ads by the agency. No complaints about staffs but the system does not look to be robust at all.

Myself and my sister have recently purchased a property in Sale and had the pleasure of having Vickie and Carolyne as our points of contact. Vickie not only drove us around the various properties we were viewing on the same day in the company car, but also gave us a tour of Sale as we are new to the area. She showed us the closest tram stops, best pubs and just the general area which was such a great little extra for her to do for us. Carolyne was then our contact for the actual purchase of the property and was always readily available and responsive to our emails and ensured clear communication between myself and the seller to make sure we were all on the same page. They were all very nice and responded quickly to questions and emails, they took the time to discuss and advise how to put myself in the best position to the vendors. They were very professional and understanding, especially of personal circumstances. They were flexible in changing my appointments and offering me time outside the viewing times, only to have the chance to view the property I was really interested in. We instructed Thornley Groves Sale office to sell our house 7 weeks ago. No one follows up viewings. There's no feedbacks on last Thursday's(a week ago) viewing at all and this is at least the 3rd time I complain about no feedbacks. Gemma previously explained that people sometimes don't answer phone calls which is understandable, but I just can't believe that ALL the people who viewed my property were never been available. I informed Gemma before 2nd Oct that we couldn't accept viewings on that day, but viewing was still arranged. I felt so sorry to refuse the gentleman who came to view and I didn't see him again. Obviously it's not rearranged. People who booked to view at 10.15am on last Thursday didn't show up. I think that they didn't receive viewing confirmation to confirm the viewing, so they didn't come. Because I was not informed for that viewing either, I guessed there's a viewing from Gemma's email which was aimed to give excuse about no feedbacks again and I called her to confirm there's a viewing... The manager Robert was pleasant to speak to and that's the reason we chose Thornley Groves, but after all of these we don't believe they can sell our house any more. Don’t fall for their fake smiles,especially Hannah.They put pictures of when the apartment was newly built like 100 years ago on their site! They will make you go through the most toughest moments of your life.They present contract, and go against it! Never trust them! Evil people. I’m sure you are done spending all the money you took from us by now! They Presented very dirty and ugly apartment and blamed us on top of it, after telling us we can’t have an online viewing because someone is in the apartment. They told us everyone’s definition of deep clean is different. I guess thornley groves definition for deep clean in their contract means leaking toilet, dirty kitchen and moulded bathroom. Jesus such a fraud! Took both first rent and deposit when we couldn’t stay there.

We have recently completed the sale of our property in Sale with the magnificent help from Robert and his team. Selling any property can be a roller coaster of a ride and without excellent communication skills, knowledge and attention to detail of your estate agent it can be a horrendous experience. Our sale was not without its difficulties, none caused by the estate agent, but Robert was with us every step of the way, being the much required bridge between us, an anxious buyer and solicitors who do not always communicate well.
