I spotted a property on Leicester Road in Lutterworth that looked perfect for what I was looking for. I had arranged a viewing, but due to heavy rain on the day, I decided to reschedule as I didn’t feel it would be fair on the sellers to show me around the property in such poor weather.

Clair and the team worked hard to get our purchase over the line. Throughout the last weeks of our purchase I called to reach Clair most days, at every call she either was there to receive it or called back within an hour. As solicitors were being slow and causing delays, Clair worked hard to push the solicitors in the chain and communicated between the sellers and us to keep us in the loop and aware of what was happening. Our purchase would have taken significantly longer if it wasn't for Clair consistently requesting updates from the solicitors! I felt supported and the frequent contact from Howkins and Harrison was reassuring and helpful.

Excellent letting agents

I have rented through Howkins and Harrison for almost two years. From start to finish their staff have been fabulous! Everything was dealt with quickly and efficiently and nothing was ever too much trouble. The letting agent, Lisa Swinnerton, always went above and beyond to make sure my first renting experience in over twenty years wasn’t too scary and I can’t thank her enough. I hope not to need to rent again in the future but, should I need to, I would definitely return to this agents.

Alison from the lettings team in Rugby was absolutely fantastic from the start to the end of the process. My property was advertised a couple of days after contacting Howkins, and let within a month. She updated me at every stage, and promptly answered any queries. She also arranged for some repairs to be carried out, and these were completed to a good standard All in all a first class service!

I rented a property through H & H. They carried out 'inspections' without prior notice. They entered the property on more than one occasion without permission. One of these 'inspections' they failed to secure the property and i at the time was away with work. My sister happened to drive past and noticed the front door open - and knowing I was away rang me to see if come home early... I hadn't. The staff were unfriendly, unhelpful and when I ended the rental and moved elsewhere they were VERY reluctant to provide me a receipt to prove I'd returned the keys. Stating it 'wasnt normal policy'. Given my negative experiences with them I wanted some proof that the keys had been returned - I don't think that's unreasonable - at least I had closed AND locked the door behind me! Not a company I'd be happy to deal with again. Not a company I'd recommend either.

Excellent service from the Ashby Team

Having moved into the area after selling our property in Cheshire in 2021, we were hoping to find a property very quickly as we were cash buyers. We wanted to downsize. But then the property market went ‘crazy’. We basically gave the brief to the Ashby team that we would consider anything! They sent us lots of properties via email - Jackie is very efficient - and we eventually bought a small 2 bed semi detached through the Ashby office. The service they gave us was excellent. Although wanting to downsize we knew the house was too small so we spoke to them and gave them a price we would be willing to pay. Again, so helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Jackie has been marvellous. A mention too for Andrew. He showed us around most of the properties we viewed. He was also very knowledgable about the Ashby area. We have now found a house. Unfortunately it isn’t one of Howkins & Harrison’s properties but we very much appreciate the excellent service we have received from Ashby office. When we come to sell our current house we will definitely have them out to value it.

The only estate agents worth using

The only estate agents I’ve ever had a good experience with. We bought our house with them and they were so good and efficient that we decided to sell our house with them too when we decided to sell. Clair went above and beyond to make sure everything was moving smoothly and that we were happy with everything. She always called us back and kept us up to date. Thoroughly recommend!

5 Stars for Team Towcester!

We live in an increasingly hostile world where often via social media poor feedback is often sited against service providers and conversely good feedback is sometimes overlooked. I recently had the extremely emotional and costly event (in aborted solicitors fees) where my buyer almost at the time of contractural exchange, opted to purchase another local property. To say I wanted to walk away from the whole Conveyancing process would be an understatement. Howkins and Harrison tried so hard to keep the sale but pragmatically accepted that was not an option. Since then they have worked so hard to vet suitable viewers and provided structured feedback. I am so pleased I decided to continue putting my trust in them. I always knew selling my parents home was going to be one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, but ‘Team Towcester’ have been kind and compassionate from day one.
