FacebookI had a great experience with Acres Four Oaks, they not only sold my house within 2 weeks they also found our forever home and had the deal matched up in a jiffy! They handled all the appointments swiftly and professionally, keeping us informed along the way. They always kept their cool with all the many issues that arise with solicitors, vendors and chains, constantly ensuring everyone knew what was going on during the whole transaction. Can’t complain at all. Would recommend to anyone.

FacebookFirstly, the positives - Nigel came out to view our property and gave us the impression of a family run firm, seemed genuinely interested in our property and confident of its ability to sell. We did have a lot of interest in the property and after our initial buyers fell through, we found another, both offering asking price. When we were going through the conveyancing process there were issues with e-mails being received amongst Solicitors and when asked, Liz helped to forward these on. Things to work on - it would have been helpful to have one point of contact from the start, I sometimes received up to four phone calls a day about viewings and had to re-tell and e-mail dates and times for availability. I’m sure the stamp duty holiday didn’t help, the team always sounded very busy and when someone had called it was often difficult to get back through to the same person. Probably due to the same reason, although there were offers to host viewings, quite often they couldn’t support on the dates we would have liked them to. Once we’d accepted our second offer, after the initial buyers fell through, there was very little contact. By comparison we had a huge amount of contact with our purchasers agent who continued to liaise with ourselves and our purchaser to really aid communication and ensure exchange and completion. As I’ve mentioned, our experience was likely impacted by the stamp duty holiday but particularly at the outset with so many calls about viewings, and not receiving updates about cancellations, and then getting e-mails to confirm bookings at what appeared to be the same time (but had over-booked the cancelled appointments) we felt we needed to keep checking things, repeating ourselves and run the viewings which was more work and stress.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we are very sorry that you feel the level of service has not been as should be expected. We can only apologise that the effect during the excessively busy period leading up to the deadline of the stamp duty holiday unfortunately stretched not only our staff but all agencies / solicitors to the the extreme. FacebookIt is easy to think that EAs just sell your home, they don't. They check the credentials of your buyer and the chain. They provide invaluable liaison and help if there are delays or problems. Having had issues in both chains that I was involved in, that professional and efficient liaison was essential. Why would you trust the sale of your most valuable asset to just anyone? Acres know the local market. They will do their best for you even after you have accepted the offer. Always at hand to help and a friendly phone call away. I have bought and sold with Acres so are happy to recommend.

FacebookUnfortunately, I have been unable to arrange any viewings with a number of properties that are sold by Acres, the reason given to me was due to Covid regulations and the fact that my house is currently in market and does not have a buyer. I have done viewings with other agents who have allowed viewings following Covid secure measures like wearing masks, not touching surfaces, sanitising etc, however Acres has a strict policy which deters potentially good buyers!
We, as I hope all businesses will be are following guidelines issued. I am very sorry you have not been able to view - as you are non proceedable currently - however we are, as all agents should be following guidelines issued by the government for the protection of both our vendors, and buying clients. FacebookFrom the first meeting with Louise from Acres at the house it was clear that she knew the area very well and had a very professional approach to the valuation and the advertising materials. They kept me fully updated on viewings and subsequent levels of interest and an offer was made and accepted very early on. From that stage I was dealing with Claire who was overseeing the contract and was dealing with the solicitors from both sides which all went very smoothly to the point that contracts were exchanged today for completion on Friday.
