Awful Experience! I have recently viewed a property with Preston Baker, this was completely online which is fine. I viewed the property which was also fine, I decided to offer on the property. This is where things changed, I made an offer on the day of my viewing. I received no confirmation of my offer being made. Due to interest there were multiple offers, I really was not surprised as the property great. The property went to best and finals, again I understand this is the fairest way for everyone. I increased my offer to a level I was comfortable knowing I did what I was prepared to do. What I do not agree with is asking for confirmation of my offers being made to ensure they had been submitted in a timely fashion. I made several attempts to gain confirmation of my offers which I still do not have. I emailed the representative informing them I had not received them, I received no reply at the time. I even contacted the office to say I would like them, they had no idea how to deal with it. When I put my best offer forward in my email I also stated I had not received confirmation of my first offer. I had no acknowledgement email stating my increased offer had been received and that they were awaiting a decision from the owner. The representative came back to me after my call to the office, they said they would send them through. I still do not have confirmation of the two offers I have made with this company. I have highlighted this to them several times and still no joy. This now makes me think my offers may have not been communicated to the seller or when I actually placed them. During the best and final I had to chase the company the following day to establish if I had been successful or not. I appreciate people need time, it would have been nice to know the owner needed until the following day to make a decision. I have made offers with other agents in the past, I have always received official confirmation. I am completely fine with not having my offer accepted, my issue is the communication and the handling of my offer.

Gemma Carter did a brilliant job of selling our house from start to finish. When out first buyer dropped out halfway through the process Gemma contacted the other parties who had made offers and had resold it within 24hrs. Then towards the end of the process when the chain was creaking under the strain and looking like collapsing she went above and beyond to make sure we made it through to completion.

We have worked with many many estate agents over the years. Gemma Carter of Preston Baker is head and shoulders above any of them. She recently successfully negotiated a very complex deal that incorporated two leases to be negotiated as well as the sale and she achieved it all within the target date. She achieved the highest price ever achieved in the block too. We hired Preston Baker to handle our house sale as they have an outstanding reputation and we can say without any doubt that the certainly lived up to that reputation. One of the most difficult times in buying and selling a house is the final month when having to deal with solicitors, vendors and purchasers and Terri Burrows from Preston Baker who was our liason definitely came through for us. Terri not only did what would be expected from an estate agent, but she went that extra mile and we can say without a doubt that our house sale and purchase would have taken much longer had it not been for her efforts in the final weeks during some challenging situations and difficulties that arose. When I first contacted Preston Baker in August 2020, I hadn't bought or sold a property for 20 years. I decided to give them a try after viewing their website and reading (all of) their reviews. I was particularly attracted to their Property Launch business model and the fact that they manage and conduct all of the viewings. They gave the impression of being smart, business-like and good at selling property. I subsequently gave them my business and I've been delighted and very impressed with the service that I've received. I had several lengthy discussions with Andrew Horbury before I finally put my house on the market. He was able to answer all of my many questions and to provide good advice about pricing and marketing. Andrew gave the impression of being keen and enthusiastic, without being pushy. In fact, his wish to (politely) move things along was exactly what I needed at the time. The viewings of my house were conducted by Charlotte Walsham. She appears ideal for the job. She's enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable and business-like. On 2 occasions, Charlotte conducted multiple viewings (5 on one day) on very wet, rainy days. When I returned to my house after she had left, (the viewings were done in my absence) my house was as clean as when I had left it in her hands, several hours before. There wasn't a sign that anyone had been there. Both Andrew and Charlotte were fastidious about cleanliness and their wearing of a mask throughout their time with me at my home. I'm pleased to say that I soon received an acceptable offer on my house. Charlotte continues to manage the process of dealing with the prospective purchasers and she regularly contacts me by 'phone and e-mail to keep me updated with progress. Andrew has also telephoned me to discuss the sale. Although my house sale is still Subject to Contract, I'm happy that the staff at Preston Baker are giving me the best chance of getting it 'over the line' and I'm delighted that I chose them to market my house. This reminds me of one last point - the quality of the marketing photo's and the video tour of my house were superb. I'd certainly recommend Preston Baker to anyone thinking of putting their house up for sale.

We chose Preston Baker to sell with based on the first impressions fo the chap who came to value our property, he was professional and enthusiastic about selling and perhaps more importantly with the current climate extremely COVID safe. Since then we have been dealing with the lovely Charlotte who has helped us throug the process to sale and beyond, she is nothing short of a delight to work with and reassures us that although Preston Baker aren't the cheapest option on the market they are incredibly good value for money. Our viewing day was done in the most covid secure way possible, with them supplying a short window for viewings so they were all done on one day and supplying PPE to each viewer, masks, gloves, show coverings. It was truely incredible and remarkably relaxing all considered. Addtionally shout out to Jenny their financial advisor who has helped us with getting a mortgage setup and has gone out of her way to support us as well. Yes you'll certainly pay less with some other agents but I genuinely don't believe any of them will give you the same value you get here.

Both the sale (via an external estate agent) and our Purchase (via Preston Baker) became pretty stressful and complicated & I am very pleased to say that Gemma & Charlotte were fantastic from start to finish! Gemma in particular went over and above to help myself and Emily in getting our purchase over the line & also chasing down all other parts of the chain (all of which was actually the job of our chosen Estate agents re our sale). Gemma was excellent and will certainly be recommending the services of Preston Baker to anybody asking about Estate agents & will equally be using the service again. If anything, this process really did highlight the importance in ensuring that you choose the right company to market your property & put the trust in them to handle the process in the correct way.
