GoogleDelighted to have finally exchanged yesterday, hoping to complete next week! Having dealt with other local estate agents, I can honestly say Preston Baker were in a different league. From day one, Gemma Duxbury showed us around the property and we instantly connected. She was polite, bubbly, and extremely professional throughout. After our previous purchase fell through, we didn’t have high expectations, but Gemma negotiated our offer successfully and kept everything moving at a great pace. Even when there were small delays with solicitors, she chased things up and made a real difference. We’re very happy with the service and would highly recommend Preston Baker.

GoogleShoutout to the lovely lady on the phone who confidently reassured me that Lee would get in touch. Technically, she wasn't lying, Lee did summon the extreme energy to type out a text message. However, the actual verbal phone call he promised never came. It seems like poor Lee must have forgotten how to use the call button on his phone. Because let's face it, pressing a glowing green icon to actually talk to a customer is rocket science, isn't it? Absolutely stellar professionalism right there. If you love playing hide-and-seek with customer service and enjoy being ghosted, this is the place for you. Otherwise, save your time and energy and find a different company where staff actually know how to operate basic technology.

GooglePreston Baker cane in and sold our house after it had been on the market for quite some time and other agents were unable to get the job done. Olivia Clapperton came to us explained their procedure and price model and we went ahead, an open day was held and then subsequent viewings after that. Olivia owned the process from beginning to end going above and beyond on a regular basis, available out of hours regularly and kept all sides of the chain in touch , I wouldn't hesitate to use the agency again.

GoogleFantastic customer service from Julie & Gemma We had been with a different estate agent for months assuming they were the best option in Shadwell due to their marketing presence in the village. Having seen the property across the road sold through Preston Baker we decided to switch and immediately regretted not doing so sooner. Within a matter of days Julie and Gemma sold our property but not only that they followed up at every opportunity after the initial sale to keep things moving a long and keep us informed of how things were progressing. From this experience we would highly recommend Preston Baker, they are very experienced and know what they are doing, and most importantly clearly understand their customers.

GoogleMy experience with Preston Baker has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. In December 2024, I contracted with them to sell my property at 28 Rowan Close and paid upfront fees. However, by February 2025, it was clear they had failed to perform their side of the agreement. My property was not marketed effectively, characterized by a lack of online listings, incomplete photos, and zero viewings. I received no feedback or updates, and communication was severely lacking. I made multiple formal requests for my property to be withdrawn and my fees refunded, beginning in January 2025. Despite their stated complaint procedure, Preston Baker failed to acknowledge my complaints within the promised three working days, and the 15-day resolution deadline passed without any meaningful response. It took repeated escalations and direct contact with their CEO, Tom Kirk, and the owners, James Baker and Ian Preston, to elicit any action. While a refund was finally agreed upon, the process was unnecessarily drawn out and required persistent follow-up. As of today, March 29, 2025, I still have not reached resolution, nearly four months after my initial request. This entire experience demonstrated a profound lack of professionalism, abysmal communication, and a complete failure to deliver on their contractual obligations. I cannot recommend Preston Baker and strongly advise potential clients to consider alternative estate agents.

GoogleFantastic service from Rachel. She kept us informed every step of the way and chased through a very troublesome chain of solicitors. The photos and property listing really showed the house at it's best and created a lot of interest. Having 2 days blocked out for Rachel to conduct viewings worked really well. We cleaned and tidied and went out for a couple of days while and came home to a flurry of offers. Would definitely recommend Preston Baker and Rachel to anyone thinking of putting their house on the market.
