Recently purchased my first house via this estate agent. On the whole, not a positive experience and I wouldn't recommend them. Communication was very unprofessional (winking faces in emails that are delivering bad news - really rubs salt in the wounds) and very low effort (copy & pasting responses from the seller and not using initiative to probe for the right answers to our questions, led to a LOT of unnecessary back and forth). Also not forthcoming with any additional information that we hadn't had to ask for multiple times - so much so that we considered pulling out due to losing trust multiple times. Towards the end of the process it also came to light that the person we were dealing with had committed to the sale going through by a date that hadn't been discussed with us. When we finally reached completion day, we were delivered nothing more than a quick email with the code to the key safe, which we were to collect ourselves. I'm aware that not all estate agents necessarily give a moving in gift, but to not even have someone leave a card or come to deliver the keys in person, it really made the moment feel quite underwhelming. Having some sort of gesture/touch/effort put in at the end of the experience would go a long way. It also meant that we didn't once meet the agent we were dealing with in person.

Avoid this agency at all costs. We have recently moved into an Alex Neil's property. They let the house in a terrible condition. We were unable to move in at the agreed date because of lack of cleanliness and many other issues. The biggest problem is that they've refused to resolve the issues and have been consistently been unresponsive and extremely rude. There is not one good thing to say about this agency and its staff. We have been living in the property for 1 month now, and none of the problems have been addressed. Be careful, and if you decide to go with them make sure you discuss everything in writing and keep evidence of everything because they will try to make a fool of you. If needed, seek help through formal complaint systems and the property ombudsman service.

They screwed me out of my deposit. The only highlight -Sara was wonderful! She should really move to a better job! They deducted funds that should have been deducted by the previous tenant. They fixed only a few things which were promised in the beginning and charged me for the rest. They didn't care at all that it was documented how much had been broken when I went in. NEVER use them, EVER.
