TrustpilotTried to post a couple of presents
Tried to post a couple of presents for an elderly lady at Portishead High Street Post Office today, having not been there for a few years as used the recently closed Marina Post Office all the bad memories came flooding back. Firstly, no smile or welcome, just stared at until I put the first parcel on the scale, asked where it was going, replied Southampton. Now asked what was in it, its a present I do not know, well then I cannot take it and started quoting some inane Post Office rule. Really, I could have lied and made up anything so what a completely ludicrous question. Nice to see the Christmas spirit is still alive and kicking, sadly not in this Post Office, but my daughter has kindly agreed to post the parcels, she will presumably make up some plausible answer to the ludicrous question. On a serious note everyone, make sure you have an answer when asked should you be unfortunate enough to come up against this gross stupidity.

TrustpilotBought two boxes of Charity Christmas…
Bought two boxes of Charity Christmas Cards these measured 7inches by 7 inches. The Post Office classed these as large cards so charged 96p each. We sent 3 to New Zealand and Australia costing £10-95p. Today I sent 14 Charity Cards total price was £22-58pLast week I sent 15 Charity Christmas Cards alas the same seize costing £10-74. What a rip off by the Post Office. NO MORE BUYING CHARITY CHRISTMAS CARDS in future much smaller ones if at all, because of the post offices greed. So in short the P.O. greed will hit certain Charity's. You would have thought at Christmas time there would be some concessions. OPPS forgot about they way they treated Post Masters ruining lives and careers.

TrustpilotCardiff claim dispatch to Edinburgh…
Cardiff claim dispatch to Edinburgh 22/11/2023 and Guaranteed delivery 1.00 today. Guess ?Called assistance number automated, useless. Sent email and return "72 hours to respond" called help line and took 38 mins to answer, they claimed not left Cardiff so could be tomorrow and that I need to keep examining the tracking system (even when it is already incorrect). A requested call back from a manager will take 4 hours. Xmas cards and postage this year will not happen, I will give saved money to charity.

TrustpilotPost Office Phone Service. You leave an 87 Yr old stroke victim lives alone , needs an emergency falls device reliant on a phoneline with no line for more than 4 days. How could you?
Post Office Phone Service.Rossendale 87year old stroke lives alone and prone to falls and needs a falls wrist pendant and necklace pendant to alert Prolifeline emergency service that requires a phone line. She phoned on Weds after waiting 40 mins and was told it would be fixed in 2 days. A neighbour phoned on 12 Nov and waited 50 mins, and I phoned at 7 pm yesterday after waiting 40 mins and was guaranteed a fix between 8-1 pm today Saturday, but nothing and no one appears to care. Fix it or have the decency to let me know that you can't. You have my number from last nights discussion as you contacted me back to discuss todays arrangements. Post office You have my number! TrustpilotStill no help re missing parcel
Still no response despite me sending an email to try and get help with this regarding a parcel I sent that didn’t arrive. I tried to contact them via email but got some automated reply stating they hoped my parcel had arrived by now ( implying wrongly that I was a would be recipient awaiting delivery ) .It’s really unfortunate that the one time I don’t have the proof of posting receipt as well as the till receipt (which I do have) that the parcel completely vanishes so according to the PO worker at the post office where I sent it can’t therefore be easily traced. This makes me feel I can’t trust the post office and I won’t be using them for parcels again.

TrustpilotUseless and getting worse
Again and again I have trouble getting my parcels. Amazon, DPD and Yodel are geniuses compared to the PO. The others if they can't deliver will leave a card with a variety of options to pick up but the PO can't even be bothered to leave a card or try the neighbors. I can't believe they are still in business with the poor service they give. Awkward pick up times where if you happen to work for a living everywhere is closed by the time you finish. Another dinosaur that needs killing off.

TrustpilotHorrible experience
This is a continuous trend in this post office, the Asian workers do not do there job and are often found huddled in a corner chatting while non Asian staff members hold the fort. This is unexceptable as the Asian staff members are extremely rude to Black customers. This Post Office needs to be closed down or change of staff.

TrustpilotDisgusting service
We had car insurance for ourselves and home insurance on my mums house. They decided to put monthly instalments up on car insurance, the reason being my son had a minor bump in his car. We had to get proof from my son’s insurance company that it wasn’t my husband driving which we duly did, however the premiums stayed same and no refund. We tried numerous times and were given the runaround. Second encounter with the post office was when my mum sadly passed away to which I informed them, paid the remaining balance on my credit card with insurance now in my name. When house was sold I informed them again and was told refund would be paid back to my mum. Their customer service was shocking, numerous calls, emails were automated replies that I should contact another department. .

TrustpilotVery poor service from the Post Office
I had a parcel to deliver to a UK address and checked out the price on the Royal Mail website for a medium size parcel 2nd class Signed for service, the size of my parcel was L55cm W44cm D10cm price quoted £9.99 took my parcel to Langley Close Post Office, Croxteth Park, Liverpool and was informed it would have to go via Parcel Force and would cost £17.70 that's nearly £8.00 more ! I told the lady concerned that I had checked out the price and it should not cost that much but her and her colleague informed me that I had no option because they were only a small Post Office and that they might offer different services in a bigger one ! I knew this was complete BS but decided to take my business to another more professional Post Office in Broad Lane Liverpool L11 1AD, the lady was friendly and professional and charged me the correct price of £9.99, so my parting shot is that this needs to be checked out by someone higher up the chain and secondly I work hard for my money as do most people and I don't expect to end up getting ripped off by the Post Office.

TrustpilotPost Office cannot be trusted with…
The Post Office cannot be trusted with your post. Utterly dreadful service with no means to get answers or compensation. They may well fob you off and tell you that they have a complaint procedure but they know very well that this is a dead-end and isn't fit for purpose, which is likely by design. They lost important legal documents that cost me court time and money. If they reply to this review (unlikely) they will probably defend their actions with excuses, such as they don't know what's happened; or that I need to provide more evidence (I don't, they've not responded properly in the first place and the complaint is about them failing to provide evidence or investigate); or that they will follow it up, but they won't, I've been trying to get a substantial response for over 3 months.

TrustpilotPost office in chequers way, N13
Staff have no knowledge in relation to postal charges and could force you to payout extra that you don't need to :-(. I was told that my parcel was 'too heavy' for what I had paid for. I had paid on line for a 'medium parcel' £5.10 and was told by the staff to cancel my puchase (this would mean me loosing my money ) and repurchase for £8.99.I took my parcel to another PO - the staff scanned the bar code and it was good to go!So staff at chequers way - why did you insist that I had to pay an extra £3.00+ when I did not have to???Please please staff at chequers way PO educate yourselves, you owe it to the public......

TrustpilotNext day delivery?
I had some documents to send to my car insurer so chose to send them "next day delivery" for peace of mind. When the tracker still showed " still at post office" after 2 days I went back to the post office where I was told "the tracker only catches up after 3 working days, so check later"WHAT? Why have a next day service if you cannot check until 3 days later? After another 3 days with the letter supposedly "still at the post office". I rang the insurers to find that my letter had in fact reached them one day after I posted it!Actually, the tracker still shows "still at post office" 3 weeks further on!DON'T use next day service for peace of mind, it causes you undue worry!WHAT HAS HAPPENED to the Post Office? Once a cheap, efficient public service, now the worst of "take it or leave it" attitude and constantly rising postal rates! The fact that the Post Office cannot even be bothered to respond to Trustpilot Reviews sums it up perfectly! Take it or leave it!

TrustpilotBereavement process dreadful
I called to report the death of my father, who was the account holder. The first operative I spoke to assured me explicitly that there would be a 7 week period where I could choose a weekday to terminate the service, which would allow me time to sort the new supply. This was necessary as the property is tenanted with 3 small children reliant on the internet for home school. I communicated this to Post Office.I was forwarded over to the bereavement team who immeadiately told me they have put a stop on the account and the maximum I now have is 2 weeks. This is not enough time to sort a new supply for the family. Mark, the manager in bereavement I was put on to (eventually, after being told I was ineligible to speak to management via a callback as I was not the account holder...who is dead...) was condescending and patronising in his tone. He told me I was repeating myself, despite the fact I was asking different questions, and clearly couldn't wait to get off the phone. He was completely averse to even discussing an option, such as me paying for the interim period and simply not incurring an early termination fee, despite my actions being a result of the original Post Office employee giving me false information. The individuals involved in this customer service were inept, incorrectly informed and condescending. They were passive aggressive and rude. Steer well clear of Post Office, the last thing you want when a family member has just died is to have to deal with people like this.

TrustpilotPost Office - Limekiln Lane, Wallasey
This is for the Post Office on Limekiln Lane in Wallasey on Merseyside. I had had a disastrous time with other local offices - then I saw that there was a PO at this address. I have now been coming here for 5 years. It is the only PO that I would ever use. It is a shop and PO combined and is a family run business. The people are extremely pleasant - and the phrase that nothing is too much trouble genuinely applies to them. They always go any extra mile needed. I can totally recommend this PO and if you try it - you don't be disappointed.

I asked twice and she said it will reach in a day. I never experienced international shipping before. I paid £40.75 for 184g documents. Its been three days completed and just reached destination country and I don't know how long it will take. Very bad. Instead she could says 5-7days. Raised a concern and waiting for their response.
