The post office had a very good…

The post office had a very good name,many years ago,for being a stable,reliable organisation, for the general public,I am shocked,as I haven't received a package,and have rescheduled redilverynow three times,they have never responded,and I can't get a refund,until it's sent back,they cannot be botherd,it's very sad,They should retrain all the staff,and make them respectfully of the elderly,they make you feel like you are a nuisance,whilst people rely on courtesy,and decency,some thing should be done,they shout over the counters,in Lewisham,at you,as though you are an imbecille,there services are paid for from the general public,they forget that.!!!

Post Office Verify - or not!

Trying to use post office verify app to register for DBS - which I’ve had since they were invented. Need one now to sponsor a Ukrainian refugee who has already travelled across Ukraine to Hungary and waiting. Been on their website for 5 hours, whilst they validate my passport and driver’s license. How hard is it? I’m 70, UK national since birth, had both for decades, never robbed a bank or assaulted anyone hence not even points on a driving license. Their average waiting time of 10 minutes must involve a nano second for some lucky people- mine has consistently been over 2 hours! For some bizarre reason, they’ve sent me messages to say that my documents have been accepted when they haven’t! Thankfully I found this out from their (only have to wait an hour for a response) chat line. In my former life as a headteacher, I applied for, literally, hundreds of Enhanced DBS and never had this problem - but didn’t have to use the Post Office! I can’t fault them of delivering letters and parcels (we have the best postie in the universe). Why are the Post Office diversify into areas where they are (from my experience) so terrible?

Avoid and save your credit score.Made a dent in my credit history because of them. Was promised 2.8% rate for the loan with 9.9/10 chance of approval. After hard credit check got 7.9% offer - I'll pass thank you.Evidently their pre-approval score is a meaningless marketing gimmick that is used to lure users to perform hard credit check with them. So the applicant is pressured to accept proposed ridiculous rate rather than risking another credit check with the alternative provider.

Whatever happened to leave your parcel with a neighbour

Got text message of the post office, telling me that they tried to deliver a parcel and if I wanted a redelivery to contact them online. I contacted them online filled all the form in went to the delivery date only to find that there is an extra charge of £2.30 for a redelivery for which delivery has already been paid for, whatever happened to leaving it with a neighbour. They also said they didn’t leave a card anymore due to Covid yet they manage to post a letter through the letterbox which doesn’t really make sense. The model is at least Dick Turpin wore a mask

I have been going to this chemist ever since it opened and always been very satisfied found him to be very helpful and pleasant and obliging. One little Hiccup which I mentioned to him, He wasn't too happy about it but he did rectify it and has made the issue right. I would rather tell someone what I am thinking and give them chance to make things right which he has since done. Carry on the good work Dave you have a good heart.

Utterly dreadful service!

My husband and I both had parcels the post office say we’re delivered to our house while we were on honeymoon, both were too big for the letterbox and our home was locked up. The post office say there’s nothing they can do about it, one sender complained on our behalf but got no response. We’ve complained in person and by email. Their excuse is we left it too long to complain, we’re were away for 18 days!! Utterly appalling service.

Be very very cautious of applying for a loan. The APR rates on their website are completely inaccurate. I applied, with a full credit check, and the APR I was offered was 18%!! It said 5% on the initial calculation. Ridiculous.

44 The Queen's Square, Adeyfield, Hemel Hempstead HP2 4EP, Be very careful if you post a large letter second class signed for at this post office as I'm constantly getting overcharged, particularly by the gentleman that works there, I even told him the price I was being charged was not correct, and he even asked me where I got my price and I showed him the royal mail website, he charged me, four pounds twenty and I told him it was too expensive and the wrong price and said I would not post it with them, I went to a alternative post office to be charged three pounds thirty nine, when you send a lot of large letters which I do it can work out very expensive, getting overcharged depending on who serves you, on another occasion I posted a large letter second class signed for, a lady weighed it and then still over charged me, not all the staff are incompetent, but not worth going there to play postal roulette

i took out travel insurance for covid cover plus for singapore

i took out travel insurance for the 1st march till 17th march through the post office.we were ravelling to singapore.when i booked it i saw covid covered but when my sons legal chap out in singapore read it he told him we would not be allowed into the country as nowhere did it say COVERED for covid,it wasnt a cheap insurance either,when the post office were contacted by myself they said read page 51 article 30 s0mething.i did and it did not say covered for covid,they wouldnt refund me as it had been over two weeks since i bought the policy.my son took a covid plus insurance for a damn sight cheaper out in singapore.dont waste your money on this cowboy outfit

Loughborough main post office.

Visited Loughborough main post office to renew my passport. Branch completely empty. Two ladies in advancing years behind the counter who went out of way to be unhelpful. First they didn't do passport photos on a Wednesday and then when I said I would return the next day I got the cameras broken. I can next call in a months time due to shift pattern and said this and the response not sure if it will be fixed. Customer care no where to be seen.

I set up a redirection which cost a lot of money for a year, I'm waiting for a parcel which has gone backwards and forwards and now has been stuck at my local post office since 9th March saying waiting to be delivered? Phoned local post office no help and put in complaint but still waiting reply, this small parcel has a tracking no so can see what's happening just worried that post that isn't tracked is not getting through

Car insurance

I have bought car insurance through post office because of the price initially. They charge me 20GBP every time when I needed to change some detail regarding my policy. I have completely no idea why don't they update their system and let us amend the detail ourselves instead of charging 20GBP every single time. It is torturing to wait for hours for someone to pick up the call and just change some minor details. You can get insurance online all by yourself entering all the detail. Why can't you change them as well. It is unbelievable. Greedy company.

My God !!! Post office O/SAVER 52 ANN ACCOUNT.Do not open this account under any Circumstances.I did using a linked standard Current Account so I could transfer money from my normal Bank Account to this account.We are in the 21st Century and all accustomed to online Banking.Its fast,its almost instant and the transfer of cash is a piece of cake right? Not with the Post Office though!!!My first Transaction(Transfer of money) to this PO savings account took nearly a week to show on the account then another week to transfer back and I have been unable too thus far because the PO are saying the money is not available yet!!! I'm guessing when it is available to transfer back to my normal Bank it will take another week to accomplish this.No wonder this old,outdated institution is falling on its face what a crazy situation.I repeat do not go near this "product"

Do not open an online saver

Do not open an online saver, not worth the stress or energy and in 2022 I should not be having what they quoted "technical difficulties" with accessing my money that I need for uni. After 3 days of me trying to access my own money I rang, the tech guys arnt working call back another day. I cannot believe I have to fight to get my money out of an account. Will never use post office products again. Get it sorted its not 1990.

Update 24th February 2022Card has still not arrived and has been sent to various po delivery depots. Shameful service. I posted my mother's 98th birthday card on or before 17th February via Moonpig. It was received by The Post Office on 17th February. It was sent first class to arrive before her birthday. It still hasn't arrived. I couldn't visit my mother on her birthday as they have Covid at her care home. How could The Post Office get it so wrong 😫

Book lost in post-office shambles

I sold a book on eBay and printed a postal label and dropped at the post office and received Proof of postage. I assumed that the tracking number on ebay would suffice. The purchaser sent me a Message stating they did not receive the book. I tried to track by ebay that said it was send but not out for delivery. I went to the tracking app on the post office using the tracking number ebay provided with no luck. I went to the post office to be told the piece off paper and the tracking number are worthless. So now I had to refund the purchaser as the post office lost my parcel and have no means to trace. Poor service by the post office. Surly when you print a lable vie ebay this should relate to the post office. When I dropped of the parcel no tracking number was provided. How many time do the post office loose mail and parcels. Will not send anything via the post office again!

Post office in Strabane female serving…

Post office in Strabane female serving was extremely rude, arrogant and disrespectful. While I was waiting in the queue she began talking with a customer for a long time. To my surprise she raised her voice and shouted like a 10 year old child we don't sell envelopes you have to go to the shop and get an envelope. I then walked around the large shop to find it. The level of service was disgraceful and appalling that you people are that ignorant and rude to customers and no thank you or anything. I was not told anything about tracking of the parcel or anything. Well I certainly will not be back. It is very unusual that a post office does not sell postage envelopes and the customer is given the run around to go and find these things which you should sell.

i believe most postmen do not ring the door bell and are very happy to send you a message saying "we tried to deliver, but you were not there". i was home yesterday , no one rang the door bell yet i go the above message. useless as always. So now i have to re arrange a delivery (pay for it) and it will probably be the same ... in the end ill have to go to the depot

Terrible!!

Terrible!!! I have an excellent credit rating on experian and have had a number of mortgages and loans with the post office yet was refused a loan. Did a soft check and had a result of 9.9 out of 10 chance of success. Was then told by email my application was successful and sit back relax and wait for money. After a few days I still hadn't received any funds so decided to call to see if there was a problem. I was then told the application had been declined. I then received a text message saying that the funds would be with me shortly after a few checks, so I called to double check. The call handler looked into my application and told me the funds were released to me but were then cancelled. I suspect that because the bank of England put the interest rate up on the same day they decided to pull the plug. They urged me to appeal the decision, probably so they could offer me a deal again but on a higher rate so that they could charge me more. I used Halifax in the end and received the money in minutes, a much more professional outfit. Will never use post office money again!
