TrustpilotTime to disband this crap service.
Letters and parcels can take up to two weeks to be delivered. They often say no access on 24 or 48 hour deliveries. We have been home all day on every occasion. There is never an access problem. I was waiting for a crucial Letter from the bank. After two weeks I complained the following day six Letters and a package arrived with an elastic band round them. The oldest 15 days old the newest 6 days old.

TrustpilotWonderful! Post Office inside Londis, Bathurst Walk, Iver Bucks
Had to make a last minute post to Australia (after a few hiccups with my local branch closing down) from the post office counter inside Londis, Bathurst Walk, Richings Park, Bucks. The lovely man Dinesh was so helpful with giving me the best options for tracking, polite and had a wonderful chatty personality. I highly recommend this branch. Thank you Dinesh!

TrustpilotToday I attempted to mail a parcel to…
Today I attempted to mail a parcel to Canada at our local post office. After standing in a queue for 25 minutes, I reached a cashier. She looked up the delivery options and all involved the parcel being sent by private courier rather than via the postal systems in the two countries. Currently, Canada is experiencing a rolling postal workers' strike and this may have affected the choices but my understanding is that mail is still being delivered there; it is just delayed. Since using the postal service did not appear to be an option I agreed to one of the courier services. Then the fun began. The cashier had to enter all the parcel details on the computer. She then asked me for the recipient's email address. When I said I didn't know what it is, she was unable to proceed any further and she could not accept my parcel into the system. So what happens if the recipient doesn't have an email address? What if you know that they do not want anyone to give out their email address? I now have a parcel sitting on my bedroom floor containing Christmas presents that look like I will never be able to send. Has the world gone completely mad? Or is it just the Post Office that is out of touch with reality?

TrustpilotRipped off buying currency
I just purchased €400 euro from my local branch. I researched in advance and the Post Office seemed to have the best rates. I went in and bought €400 but the rate of exchange I received after making the purchase was nothing like that advertised online. I asked about this, having checked again and was told that the in-store rate was different to the online rate and that the transaction couldn't be cancelled and re-done online. There was nothing on display to advise of what the offline rate would be. If there had been, I would have spotted anomaly before I made the purchase. I feel that I have been ripped off. It would be honest practice to clearly advertise within the post officce, the available rates for both cash and online purchases

TrustpilotPost Office branch at Hambledon parade
Post Office branch at Hambledon parade, Hartplain (Waterlooville, UK) are a bunch of jokers. If I could award no stars, that would do! They misplaced my parcel worth £150 months back. On top of that, every time I try to pay in cash deposit, it's always one rude excuse or the other. My frustration stems from the fact that I get the same thing done easily at other branches. I wonder why it is such a pain with these jokers. No respect for the customer or consistency in business. There's no need to open for business if you don't have manners or capacity to deliver basic functionality.

TrustpilotSTROOD POST OFFICE (KENT)
STROOD POST OFFICE (KENT): Beware this Post Office branch, they overcharge. I was charged £5.30 for a RM48 large letter when in fact it was a standard letter weighing just 0.025g. I just needed 2nd class recorded (it didn’t need to be signed for) which should’ve cost £2.91. Imagine if they overcharged every customer every day these small amounts, they’d be making a tidy profit. I’ll be buying all my postage online from now on or using a different branch and I will reporting this the their head office.

TrustpilotNo social or communication skills whatsoever.
Im specifically reviewing the post office at west heath in congleton. "What a useless post office. Queued for 15 minutes minimum to find out they are not taking Evri. By this time, the queue was to the window. The shop counter person was a waste of time; she directed me to the post office as I tried to first drop off at the shop counter. My point is, why was there not a sign stating, 'Sorry, no Evri today,' and why did the hopeless shopkeeper not say, 'We can't accept Evri'? Oh, and then some nosey big mouth think they know it all gives me some im not interested verbal...must of been close to the postmaster.....The postmaster has no social skills at all, he keeps looking at the long que but fails to say No everi today, i do hope nobody was in the que for everi dropoff....

TrustpilotKentford Post Office- Extremely Discourteous Postmaster
My husband and I entered Kentford Post Office with six medium sized packages to post. There was no one else at the counter and the postmaster Roger Dicker was on the other side, engaged in a loud angry conversation which was grossly inappropriate to be conducting at a public service counter. Mr. Dicker glared at us as we stood waiting. Without any words, of even a possible, ‘excuse me, I’ll be with you shortly,’ he fumed, stared at us and retreated to the back, out of view, as we stood waiting. We waited for an inordinate amount of time and before losing the will to live, we left. This postmaster’s attitude of discourtesy on this occasion, is not solely to be blamed on his irate telephone call, which in any case should not have taken place at the counter. We have experienced his reluctance to serve us on other occasions. His wife has been subliminal in her approach towards us but has carried out her service duties, without any cause for complaint; however, Mr Dicker’s service conduct has been less than professional. We wish to state that Mr. Dicker has a duty of being polite and civil in providing a public service, irrespective of what he hears from the ‘social injustice league’ about others, that floats around in a parochial atmosphere. This is supposed to be a public post office, not a social club. He is also in another public role of a councillor, which demands respect for others and impartiality.UPDATE: Submitted a formal complaint to the main official Customer Care Post Office Dept. based on: Poor customer serviceUnprofessional behaviourLeft waitingMy complaint was upheld and compensation given.

TrustpilotGrossly inadequate customer support
I had a problem with a parcel delivery that the website doesn't address. There is currently a 60+ minute wait time to speak to someone, or I can write a letter ! What sort of a Mickey Mouse organisation operates like that ? Cost saving at the expense of service. Suffice to say, I will use any other organisation for my parcel deliveries in future

TrustpilotCockton Hill branch
This is just one post office branch in particular, in Bishop Auckland, 1/2 mile from where I live and up until recently my Amazon return branch. For several years now, I’ve taken any returns to this specific branch where the staff were friendly and helpful, they’d scan my return, print me a receipt and by the time I’d left the branch I’d receive email confirmation of the return and my refund from Amazon. However, recent experience has become that of nightmares! New staff have taken over, younger members often pre-occupied with their mobile phones, take their time before acknowledging my presence and then refusing my parcel. I’ve been told they could return my item if I chose a different company like Evri. I’ve been advised to bring it back another day, before 1700hrs, that only the main counter can scan Amazon because it’s done on iPhone and that’s kept on the other counter. I went back the following night at 1645hrs (earliest I possibly could get there) and was refused at that counter and directed to the front counter where I’d already been refused several times previously. When I said I’d been advised only this counter had the phone to scan she still told me to go to the other counter. So I have to join another queue at the other counter where I’m eventually told only the main counter can scan Amazon returns so I explained I’d already been there and was redirected. The assistant then went to retrieve the iPhone from the main counter and received the same unfriendly response. Eventually she returns with the iPhone as there was another five people in the queue also with Amazon returns. This was my fourth attempt as I’d been refused 3 times already, ordered to go behind the counter to see the regular handset would not scan, told to use another courier and to come back another day. She reluctantly scanned my parcel and refused to give me a receipt. Inevitably two weeks later, still no refund and Amazon have no record of return.!I’ve since been given a manual refund from Amazon and advised to report this to the Post Office which I’ve now done. This specific branch staff have been obstructive, rude and totally unhelpful so I have chosen to never use their service again. Life is too short, I’m currently battling a life threatening condition with daily hospital attendance and don’t have time or strength for their rudeness! Such a shame as the previous staff were like a breath of fresh air in comparison.

TrustpilotTrowbridge Post Office
Trowbridge Post Office. What a joke!Wednesday 13th December. Closing time supposed to be 5.30. After being in a very long queue for 30 minutes told the lady in front of me would be the last one served as post office closing at 2.00. Informed her myself and the lady behind me had already been told we were the last. Queue was horrendous took nearly an hour to be served. Only one lady serving at this very busy time of year. Most in queue had parcels and I believe Trowbridge is the only office in the area that handles them. Man in wheelchair had to seek assistance of other customers to get served as counter not suitable for disabled and no staff to assist. Very poor service, felt sorry for the lady serving. Post Office Counters need to do better.

I have been 3 times to this post office in the last couple of weeks and each time I have been I have encountered problems with the staff.I have asked for my parcels to be sent with the weight on. I am aware that parcels between 1 kg and 2 kg are the same price, but the staff here Keep asking me constantly why I want to send them with the weight on when they fit in to the same price bracket eg it’s doesn’t matter if they are 1kg or under 2kg.I’ve explained that I would like them sent like this as this is my preference. ( I feel I do not have to explain why to them ).Again the persistence on me sending them all together and just putting in one weight for all of them the manager even said to me that I “demanded” that they were sent like this, then she denied it, and said that CCTV will show she never said that, if that is the case great because she definitely said that to me and it will show up. Please let me know if you wish me to give you the dates and times.Yesterday another lady served me and made an error and put 2nd signed for instead of 1st signed for. Fair enough we all make mistakes but her attitude “ I repeated it to you twice 2nd class signed for “ to me I was took back by her lack of customer service and how rude she was. Again this will be on CCTV/voice recording's.Today was the icing on the cake I was served by an another lady who was very polite and helpful. However she did say that she could post all the parcels together and I said I would like them to be done separately, the lady serving me said they are the same price and then the manager who was next to her said to the lady who was serving me“I have told her” meaning about me. A more helpful response would’ve been “please could you put them through for her separately if that is what she is wanting” but no I got a very abrupt rude reply and this is when she started talking about CCTV and proof that she never said anything to me regarding me being “demanding.”All I want to do is come and post my items, but I am up against the staff in there who just do not understand customer services and the customer is always right.

TrustpilotPost Office St James London
Sam was very helpful and tried his best to rectify the situation (the machine ran out of stamps before it could print the 90 I ordered). But his colleague Matt was apathetic and had a ‘Computer Says No’ attitude; mumbled through the glass counter, shrugged when I asked if he’d share my feedback with his supervisor, and was monosyllabic when I asked about alternatives. He was hard work and not customer focused. I had to make a separate visit the next day to the Post Office in Regent Street, where Khalid provided the excellent service that Matt did not.

TrustpilotWhy is it that the post office since it…
Why is it that the post office since it has been relocated to a small shop, takes upwards of 30 minutes to serve customers who only want stamps? This never happened before privatisation, there would be multiple windows open for customers, not just two. Even the online parcel tracking is rubbish, even if you change your delivery choices, they still ignor the request and try and deliver!! Way, way, behind the competition, the management need to have their wages cut to make them more keen and not so comfortable on their poor performance.

TrustpilotOne star is too much for POST OFFICE…
One star is too much for POST OFFICE SAVINGS. The most stressful and painful experience simply trying to invest my hard earned savings. Initially sent in the application on 28th Aug 23. It took until 20th November and about 30 phone calls and making a complaint to get that far. the terms of the account are that hey offer to backdate the interest on your deposit money if you enclose a cheque with your application. (obviously knowing it's going to take them ages to do anything), But I explained that I do not have a chequebook as most banks don't issue them anymore. But the application process included my bank statements proving my deposit was there. I was assured that this was fine and that they would honour the interest. Nearly three months later they eventually open my account I drop the deposit in within hours. (and was available to put in throughout the 3 months) They are now going back on their word and refuse point blank to backdate the interest. Complaints to them make no difference whatsoever. In fact they made it worse, moaning how they were now playing piggy in the middle between me and the dept processing my application. but won't let me contact that dept directly. Also them explaining the delay saying things to me like, "Well you Have called in a lot, that could be seem as suspicious," They tell you every single time that you call in, that the calls are recorded for security and training purposes. Yet my request for them to listen back to their repeated assurances that they would pay the interest have been declined. Raising the complaint from the Post Office to who actually seems to underwrite it, the Bank of Ireland, made zero difference to the situation. So I have now referred to the financial ombudsman. Such an upsetting saga over a 3 month period, wish I'd never set eyes on them ! Couldn't give a worse service if they tried. The interest lost runs to quite a lot of money, which shouldn't make a difference, but it's a lot to lose out on due to their sheer incompetence and lack of honour. I could not be any more upset with how they have treated me. appalling, not what I expected from a national institution. Was made to feel like some sort of criminal trying to launder money, rather than average Joe simply trying to invest his pension money !

TrustpilotRelationship between Post Office and Royal Mail
Is it beyond the wit of man or woman for the Post Office and Royal Mail to work together?I live a small town, circa 10,000 people, the post office is closed half day Wednesday and completely closed over the weekend. The Royal Mail office that you collect parcels from is part of the same building as the post office, its open 08:00 - 10:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 - 12:00 Saturday. If you are expecting a parcel on Friday and you are out, do the public differentiate between the Post Office and Royal Mail, when you read the failed delivery note? I suggest not!You get a failed delivery note through your door on Friday evening, but can pick the parcel up. You pop round on Saturday morning, only to be told you need to pick it up from the post office, which is closed till Monday. You can’t expect the current uk government to think policies through, but you should expect the Post Office and Royal Mail on a local basis to work together for the greater public good, enhance their services and increase viability of their services over the long run against competitors!Have one shared space for people to pick up failed deliveries, not difficult when you share a building! The response below to Elena from Tom is factually incorrect, you go into a Post Office, they measure and weigh the parcel, charge you accordingly and then pass to Royal Mail, etc.

TrustpilotThis is over a period of time
This is over a period of time, and seems to be the norm, and maybe verified by other householders, in that I strongly believe that the mail is held back and then is delivered in one load, probably due to lack of part time staff. I am told by senders that they have sent mail but not delivered till days later, usually with a pile of junk mail which is not wanted and goes straight to recycling. Where is the responsibility of "saving the world " A first class stamp is "how much"!

I have been using the Post Office in Eccleston Street London for approx 30yrs. Over the past 10 years or so the customer service is beyond awful. The manager there is a very lovely chap but Jim is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered, he just keeps getting worse and worse. It seems to be he is just there because he can't be sacked as he is notorious in the area for his aggresiveness. I think he's just waiting to retire, I wish he would do it sooner rather than later as he is not fit to serve the public. After yet another run in with him today I will now refuse to be served by him. I am nothing but courteous and polite as I work in the service industry myself but inevitably he is just downright rude. There are 3 lovely ladies who work there but 2 very unpleasant gentlemen and one lovely manger. Be warned if you go there!

I went to Hailsham Post Office to get my passport renewed I waited in the queue and to be told by a staff member you can come back later we tell everyone to come back after lunch time. When I asked why as I had waited like everyone else and it does not advertise any set times for passport renewal, she said there are only two of us. There were 4 people behind me in the queue but as I pointed out I had queued like everyone else therefore as she refused to serve me I said I was going to make a complaint and asked what her name was, she refused to tell me twice. I am waiting to hear from the Post Office as to what they are going to do about this. No wonder if their staff are like this they are getting rid of Post Office services. The services was a disgrace and the staff member was rude.
