TrustpilotBurscough Town Post Office, 16 Square Lane, Ormskirk, L40 7RQ
Went to Post a small parcel weighing 0.090 KG. was quoted two prices. One approx. £7, when I questioned the price I was given a second amount over £13!!So I took my parcel to Burscough Bridge Post Office where I was charged £3.80 for 1st Class signed for.Either Burscough Town Post Office haven't a clue what they're doing or they're attempting to rip people off.Either way, AVOID Burscough Town Post Office, use the Burscough Bridge Office otherwise you'll get RIPPED OFF.

TrustpilotScam!
Today I visited a local post office with a small envelope to post with some earrings I had sold for £32 on eBay. I had already been on the Royal Mail website to get the correct postage for this item which told me that I should send them tracked 48 hour at £2.70 from my post office and the earrings would be insured up to £150. When I arrived I was first told that I could not buy a tracked product at the post office despite me showing that there was a Royal Mail price list for these items at the post office. Then I was told that jewellery was not insured at all unless it was posted special delivery at £7.95! So I said well the website says it is insured and that I should post these earrings with the Tracked 48 at £2.70. At this point we were at a total stand off to which I was left with no alternative than to either pay £7.95 which is more than £5 more than the buyer had paid for the postage or send them just second class with no insurance whatsoever. Absolutely appalling! If these earrings go missing now and I have to reimburse my buyer £32 I will hold the post office totally responsible. It’s a disgrace. False advertising of products that don’t exist when you arrive at the post office and then been told that you can not claim compensation if things go missing unless you pay £7.95 for a tiny 2g envelope. Terrible!

TrustpilotSUE & HARRY.POST OFFICE. 151, RUISLIP ROAD. UB6 9QQ
I visited this Post Office recently and what a lovely experience. I was greeted with a beautiful welcome from the Postmaster's Sue & Harry. They were both very professional, polite and made time to make me feel welcome, their Customer Service was excellent and when I mentioned that my dear brother was in hospital they were both very empathetic and assuring. I left the establishment with a warm feeling inside, made my day. Sue & Harry are the most amazing people that I have met for a long time and I will always remember this visit. I would Highly Recommend this Post Office to everyone.

TrustpilotMemory and competence issues do not trust them with anything.
Based on the answers to questions put to many of the individuals working at the Post Office or representing their legal affairs in the Pulblic Enquiry, I can only assume that their is a problem with mass incompetence and short and long term memory issues with the vast majority of the management team. They have lost several of my letters recently and this seems to prove my assumptions. I therefore cannot recommend them and would advise people who need any of the service they offer to look at alternatives.

TrustpilotNo faith
I opened a savings account a couple of days ago, put my nominated as Chase & deposited £10 (just to make sure it goes through ok). Had an email saying they don’t recognise this bank. Changed to a UK based bank & did the same. This morning my 2 x £10 arrived back in their original accounts. Phoned up this morning and after a 20 min wait, I closed my account. I need complete faith that my money is going into a trustworthy safe company and this is not one of those.

TrustpilotRoyal mail coalville sorting office…
Royal mail coalville sorting office have gone above and beyond to make sure I received my parcel AFTER post had already been delivered. This was a fault of the supplier where I purchased the item but the post office made everything OK by getting this very important parcel to me. Thankyou so very much to the guy I spoke to on the phone and to the postman that went out of his way to deliver. #notallheroeswearcapes

TrustpilotIs this a scam?
Online savings account Post Office. You are warned - this is Online Only. Perfect for me. But.... you open account and have to write a letter on paper and post with photocopies of your linked account statement. You get email to say your account is opened but you have not deposited any money. You keep depositing money from your linked account and it keeps on getting returned! You make multiple phone calls to be told it should be O.K. to deposit money now. Unbelievable!

TrustpilotAbsolute Waste of Time
I was looking for a high interest savings account for a reasonable sum of money and the Post Office came out top in online searches.Unfortunately, that's where the top marks end! They were slow to send anything through, the process for how to deposit money was not clear (the steps outlined did not exist on their website!) and their staff were ineffective and unhelpful. Finally, after a lengthy phone call, I managed to make my deposit. 48 hours later and it hadn't turned up. Cue another 30 minute phone call during which I was eventually told that the account wasn't linked and so the money wouldn't be received! The money came from my husband's bank and he is a named account holder.I have decided there is no way I am trying again. I will let the account lapse and chalk it up to experience. I have never dealt with such inefficiency and pure ineptitude and that is saying something!Do yourselves a favour and steer well clear!

TrustpilotBeyond useless
Applied to open a savings account. Got a confirmation email that said I'd get a follow up message when the account was opened... never heard from them again. Guess it saved me the potential grief of putting money away with a company that can't even handle opening the account in the first place. Needless to say I've since gone with another provider.

TrustpilotNo notice about price rises.
My review is about the post office, not the Royal Mail, which most people seem to be complaining about. The two entities have been separate for many years now. It highlights just how poor their communications are if people still think they are the same thing. And my complaint is about communication. I am a Drop and Go customer. I spend a fair bit with the post office. Last year I received an email notifying me about price rises on the day of the increase. This gave me loads of notice to change the postage charges on my online shop. I didn't think it was good enough so I complained. This year I got no notice at all. No email, nothing. They have actually managed make things worse than very bad! The guys in the physical post office try their best. The people at HQ really need to get a grip. It seems to be fashionable to bash the PO these days. Sadly they deserve it all and more.

TrustpilotI live in Hethersett
I live in Hethersett, and was driving through the village, overtaking a parked PO red van. The driver then just pulled straight out on me, so I tooted my horn. The driver then pulled along side of me and shouted that he was going down the side street and wanted me to follow him for a fight as he was spouting expletives as he turned the corner. He clearly knew that I was in a different queue and could not follow him, making him an aggressive coward! He was a bald man about 50 years old and very aggressive. Not a great advert for the PO which is falling apart.I would love to meet this coward again sometime, when he doesn't scurry away. This man is a total disgrace!

TrustpilotSomething very underhand happening
Just had a delivery, the parcel was open the whole length of it. This was not a jagged tear done accidentally but a virtual straight line. The postman looked apologetic but said nothing. On further inspection one of the items is missing. Not the service I ever expected. Not letting me put a photo on

TrustpilotTheft
a signed for parcel never arrived. the card was put in the door but no one knocked when I was in, heard the mail but no knock. the card said rebook. I did. the parcel then did not arrive but post man was looking for it. then when I complained a photo of my doorstep was shown. But there was no parcel in the photo ! the card also clearly said signed for . on complaining was told first it was delivered , then it was not then it was . they are all over the place and can't read. staff clearly stole my parcel nd they allowed it. first hey said the would send info so I could report to police , then when I reported to police they suddenly said they dont give any info. so they know it was stolen and they know by whom but as with the other corrupt lies we here about them they have chosen to cover this one up too. when will they become an honest service . shameful.

I love the Post Office. Not because they are always on strike but because our Postman Steve is always friendly and parcels always get delivered. If they don't you don't have to disappear up your own axxx trying to locate your Post. Things always go round and courier days are numbered

TrustpilotDo not get a prepaid Mastercard
Do not get a prepaid Mastercard from these!Still aren't sorted with our money card from post office!! Ignored my complaint. Tried to be passive aggressive with me whilst simultaneously confirming the card had denied WITHIN the withdrawal limit. No customer service 24/7 for a TRAVEL card (all good if you're travelling in England and close by I guess??????) So you have to wait until 7am UK time. My phonecalls to ring and ask were obviously charged at £2.52\m until I scoured their website for their WhatsApp to contact. Apparently there's no blocks or anything showing their end to say it's an issue. Tried blaming the atms here (despite it working okay before April 1st), Tried 4 different ones and in different stores and still nothing. Will take 2 days to refund IF they allow it and for the 4th time, had to now contact via email because once again the person "doesn't have access". Not only are they terrible delivering post, they're terrible with anything to do with travel money too!!! Financial ombudsman is getting contacted when we can 😭 £815 we can't currently access and we lose money due to the exchange rates if we exchange back 🙃 not only that, why do you have a withdrawal limit on a PREPAID card to prevent "fraud" when they'd need to know your pin and if not that, then need access to your post office account to find out what the password is. I've never had this issue with a PREPAID card before. We go home tomorrow and haven't had access to the money for 4 days now!

TrustpilotDon't trust website information
Tried to send a parcel using internet via Evri & Post office. Despite the website saying the drop offs were the same time as the store openings, and a email from Post Office giving the same hours no drop off available so a wasted journey.Made an official complaint which was dismissed and closed without consultation, tried to blame it on the Post master at the store!!! (a familiar story!!!) cant see the individual post masters having access to change the post offices website and their automated e-mail service.Total lack of concern and customer service.Tried to re-open the complaint but ignored!
