TrustpilotMy Mothering Sunday card
My Mothering Sunday card, posted first class in Worthing, took 3 months to arrive.I have had several letters go astray, 2 containing hospital appointments.Post is very expensive, even more so in view of the service. Little wonder fewer people use it. You'd think with fewer letters the service would be better.

TrustpilotDumsmure road post office
Went to Dumsmure road post office. The couple that work there are extremely rude. I have spoken to many of the locals and have been told she is rude to everyone as soon as they walk in. And if you react in anyway whay so ever she will say dont show me attitude and deny you service. She is taking advantage of people living local and having to go there by showing her power. I truly try to avoid this post office and have only ever gone there in desperation and have only ever been treated like an animal.

TrustpilotService is really slow
Returning or posting parcels at the post office is unbelievably slow! The queues in the Stratford branch are so long they go out the door! I was on my lunch break and had to wait 20 minutes. I complained to the staff member, but they really didn’t care! I don’t know why I bother complaining it just falls on deaf ears. They spend most of their time dealing with travel insurance, travel money, car insurance, savings accounts, financial services than they do posting letters or parcels.I only wanted to get a label and receipt for my returns and it only took a couple of minutes. I could have done it myself, if the post office provided the machines to do so. If there is one place that need self service check out its at the Stratford branch. Because the staff there can't be asked to do the job. Let the machines take over!No wonder people use other postal companies, you know the ones that actually just deal with parcels and letters.

TrustpilotPost Office Counters (corporate) TOTAL LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICES
I've now spent several days trying to find a way to speak to a real person at Post Office Counters's corporate Customer Services. Seemingly, they don't want to actually speak with their customers, preferring to pass us on to Royal Mail's corporate Customer Services, who tell me that I need to speak with Post Office Counters corporate Customer Services. If the intent is to drive customers away, they're being very successful, as I now avoid both the Post Office and Royal Mail whenever possible.

Tried calling her several times but she's always on Annual LeaveThe staff are always talking loud or in their native languages - its like a fish market sometimes. Service is also often very slow. Shameful service. I transferred monies from my Post Office Acc to my personal account. £300 disappeared in transit, contacted 4 customer service ( should be renamed Customer dissatisfaction service ) team members over the last week with no resolution to the point of Paul who I dealt with today had zero empathy and understanding and only advice was wait 14 days … great and what should I tell those who I looking to have their bills paid. TrustpilotAn Apology for a Post Office
Our post office in WHS Beckenham High Street had 1 person serving & 1 person unpacking goods. The telephones are NEVER answered & now I know why, there appeared to be just 1 person in WHS & she was stacking the shelves!! This was the first time that I actually went round to the so called 'post office' myself with my crutches, explained about the Large First Class stamps, 18 of them, that cannot be removed from the backing sheet. This problem has been going on since November, letters to Royal Mail & the Post Office have been ignored & once again they claim not to be able to replace or refund the money. My husband been there a few times & was told the same thing. Plus it was suggested to him that he "Cut round the stamp & glue it to the envelope" So much for our Post Office would you say highly trained member of staff???? So WHAT does one do about a situation like this when we are just not getting anywhere?

If I wanted that , instead of a first class stamp … I needed to pay £6.85 … as this was the third attempt of sending this mail , I paid , at least I know why the stamp machine wasn’t working , what a rip off

Absolutely disgusting service, took parcel on Saturday to be posted at Rosyth post office, open until 5pm it says on the door to be told “oh that’s wrong it shuts at one” ok I thought, it’s open until 5:30 Monday to Friday I’ll rush there after work on Monday, arrived at 5:25 to 3 position closed signs, when I asked if I could post my parcel I was told “we’re shut” I said “its 5:25” to be told the tills are off and we’re shut, to which I replied “again it’s 5:25” I was told to come back tomorrow. Why would I go back tomorrow to see three position closed signs? This is not the end of this matter

TrustpilotImpossible to speak to anyone on the…
Impossible to speak to anyone on the phone. The automated service has no option to speak to a person. How inadequate is this supposedly national public service? The issue I have failed to get advice on is the system of freepost for exchanging stamps which does not allow the security of a proof of sending as there is no post code.My local post office is clueless about this and you can't access a person to speak with.Since writing the above the P.O. replied. 20th January They have told me to contact Royal Mail as it is their responsibility. I will do this but I had already phoned the Royal Mail who told me to phone the Post Office! (This ia the cost of having split the service and very poor communications and customer service. Clearly noone really cares in these remote services). No comment was made about the lack of access to a person on the phone by the post office.

TrustpilotA lesson in COMPLETE INDIFFERENCE
My husband purchased 18 First Class LARGE Stamps together with other denominations from our Post Office in WHS Beckenham High Street. Unfortunately the LARGE stamps could not be removed as they were stuck to the backing sheet. When my husband took them back the counter staff couldn't remove them either & said he couldn't replace them or refund the money as they had no provision to do this. He then went on to suggest we 'cut round the stamps & glue them to the envelopes'!! I wrote to Royal Mail who advised us to return them to the PO & request replacements. Since then I have got nowhere as my numerous phone calls with promise of call back has never happened. Nobody wants to know & I'm left with these useless stamps & out of pocket for £26.10

TrustpilotEXTREMELY RUDE TRAVEL MONEY CASHIER - WEST WICKHAM, KENT BRANCH
I have just been to the West Wickham, Kent branch and am absolutely livid and appalled at the customer service I received on the travel money till.I arrived just as a gentleman was leaving and I walked up to the desk for the RUDE cashier to say very abruptly "I'm not ready yet" .... no eye contact whatsoever. I hovered around the till area for a about 1 minute until she said, just as rudely "I'm ready now"I asked for £100 in euros and was paying by bank card so she said she needed ID which I obviously didn't have as apparently you need cash if no ID (Perhaps a sign on the window may be helpful). I did not take issue to that as rules are rules so I dashed next door to get some cash outWhen I got back she was standing with her coat on (customer side of the counter) talking to the other cashier so I walked up and said ... "so there's nobody on the till" (this was just before 11.20???) to which the other cashier replied "She's on her break". I was annoyed at this and stormed off and then I thought no, she has been really rude so I marched back and asked her name to which she just sneered and ignored me so I repeated myself and she just stormed off muttering something to herselfI very rarely write complaints as I know everyone has an off day but I find this level of customer service really unacceptable as this woman had been really rude and aggressive in her tone and mannerismsThis is obviously not the right job for her

Post office in Tesco's Broadstairs has the most unhelpful rude obnoxious woman I have ever encountered at a post office. I had a letter from the passport office to say I was entitled to a refund if I took said letter and receipt back to post office. Unfortunately I lost my receipt bur I had the details on my banking app. Miserable lady behind the counter said she wouldn't give me a refund as I could be lying about which PO I had the unacceptable photo taken. I explained it states what PO it was on banking app. She didn't want to know. I'm disgusted that she basically called me a liar. It was their mistake for submitting a photo for passport that was no good. My proof of purchase was my banking app.

TrustpilotRoyal mail throwing service
Recently we had a parcel delivered (and I use the term loosely) via Royal Mail. In stead of delivering it to our door or even left on the door step it had clearly been thrown over the gate into the middle of the drive. As our security camera detects anyone who enters or is even near the gate and it picked up no image of the delivery one can only assume it was thrown at some distance. On a previous an item was also thrown in our porch resulting in it being smashed to pieces. They are are asking for pay rises ? It's hardly surprising that there is no sympathy for them.

TrustpilotTime taken and lack of communication
Myself and my family took out a policy with post office insurance for our summer holiday. Unfortunately, while we were away, my daughter required medical treatment. Once we were home, I made a claim to cover costs, this was July. I received a reply asking for proof and documentation, totally understandable, I was then informed in September that my claim was getting reviewed and a decision made. I then contacted them again in October to request an update, where I was told that I would hear by the end of the week. No contact whatsoever! It’s now January and I’ve just had to contact them again to request an update, to be told there is a backlog. The time and lack of communication is absolutely ridiculous, 6 months on and still nothing. I understand there may be a backlog, but 6 months is a joke! The customer service is certainly not helpful and they make it clear that they are not interested I certainly would not recommend taking a policy with post office and shall never go with them again.

At Wimborne post office nothing is too much trouble and since the banks closed in the town their workload has increased 10 fold even through all the Royal mail strikes having to face ALOT of ignorant and rude customers, no matter what, those ladies are still smiling and are extremely helpful. Well done wimborne!!!. On another note having read some reviews on here and I noticed that 84% are only 1 star... I wonder how many of them are actually for Royal mail NOT the Post office.
