TrustpilotPost Office = Just pay and we won't deliver it.
Dear Post Office Management, You are a bunch of people who does a crap work and don't care about the people. I sent a letter to my daughter to Romania in 7th of February and did not arrived yet. You scammed me with £8.65 for the delivery which was supposed to arrive in 3-5 working days and the letter left UK in 22nd of MARCH.You should be proud of yourself and maybe go and have couple of strikes for wage raises.

TrustpilotPost Office Passport service is excellent and thanks to MITUL, Sandy Branch, Beds
It would be great if MITUL from the Sandy PostOffice,Market Square, Bedfordshire, could get some praise from his employer for being so exceptionally pleasant and efficient. I had to get my passport renewed on 28 th Jan and was in a rush. The extra fee to get the PO to help by doing the photo etc is well worth it in MHO. This gentleman is a brilliant asset at our local post office- I have to pay in cheques much more these days as all our NAT WEST local bank branches are now closed. Thanks MITUL- I hope you get recognition for your excellent service ! From Clare( reviews take my husband’s name, Jesse).

TrustpilotPost office is an absolute rip off now
Post office is an absolute rip off now. By comparison the same morning I sent a 1kg parcel, tracking included, via one of the major couriers, all quick and easy with no messing from a local shop, for the quite reasonable cost of £2.99. Having forgotten to post a birthday card previously i then called into the post office(WHS penzance), where despite the card being a fraction of the size/weight of the parcel, i was charged a ridiculous £4.45 just to send a card, nothing more, standard first class mail, not tracked, no garuntee of delivery, just a blatant rip off. Worse still is the gall of them still calling what has become a 3rd rate service at best 'first class', practically every interaction with the post-office recently has involved standing in a que while only one till is ever open despite other staff stood about doing nothing, and so called first class post often taking a week to be delivered, there is nothing whatsoever 'first class' about such a service(or lack thereof). So with that final display of practical piracy came the last time I ever using the post office/Royal mail, seems they're just way too far lost in greed & inability to provide a decent service now.

TrustpilotPost Office Savings lost my money
Post Office Online Savings lost my money.I opened an online savings account and deposited £10 to test the process of getting money into my account. After a a day the money wasn't in the account. Strange I thought as it's instant with most banks these days.Waited a few more days and still nothing. Called customer services who said because it's the Bank of Ireland behind the scenes it would take a few more days. Three weeks later and no deposit. I have a proof of the deposit and the account details are correct. And now I get an email saying my account is going to be closed because I haven't deposited any more.Post Office have lost my money, avoid them!

TrustpilotComplaint system is appalling
Complaint system is appalling. Essentially they use their complaints system to exhaust you well before you have exhausted your complaint. You get the usual copy and paste response to start with then when you elevate your complaint you get another copy and paste response ignoring most of what you originally complained about. Then they end by stating that you can further elevate your complaint if you are not happy. However, just what is the point. I have better things to do than spend weeks and weeks attempting to navigate my way through their pathetic complaint system in order to get someone to actually address my complaint.

Stamford Bridge East Riding of Yorkshire post office, Wilberfoss post office East Riding of Yorkshire. One member of staff to serve a post office counter and a shop at the same time! I stood in Stamford Bridge queue ten minutes while the counter staff gasses on about nothing to the person she’s serving, oblivious to the queue who are all waiting. This happens every time I go in there. Please get two new staff and train that one for goodness sake we have not got all day! Why can’t you provide a stamp dispenser to cut the queues. It’s not rocket science! Never going in these post offices ever again. Both as bad. Do you just want these places to shut down? Because with service like that you may as well have no staff at all, get a self weighing machine and have us all do it ourselves. No customer service. No staff! Oh yes, like everywhere else.

TrustpilotPlease be careful when depositing coins!!
I wish I could leave no stars. My husband posted an item and deposited £40 in 20p's this morning at Woodgrange Drive PO Southend-on-sea. We had previously deposited coins with no problem apart from the cashier grumbling he did not really like doing it without buying or posting. I do understand this but I would have thought he would have appreciated the change? However, this morning he stated the coins were not correct last time (two months ago approx) and an old £1 coin was in the bag so he took £1 out of this morning's deposit. I can categorically state that I double check every bag of coins twice before depositing. He stated that it is on CCTV that it was my husband, but how can he tell? Other customers deposit coins. The coins were bagged in official coin bags. He gave me no receipt for the £1 taken.I wonder how many more customers have had this experience?

TrustpilotPost Office clarification
I do apologise as the negative review I left below I now understand to have been about the wrong company. My complaint should be about Royal Mail not the Post Office. Many thanks to the post office for politely making me aware of my error. My item was delivered to completely the wrong address, not even in the same street - it was dumped in an out building and I was simply lucky the person that lives at the property was honest and delivered it to me. I did contact the post office who told me to contact the sender Karen Millen, I contacted their customer services department and got no response at all. Still waiting for any form of acknowledgement from either company.

TrustpilotI opened a savings account with the…
I opened a savings account with the Post Office online as the interest rate is good.I deposited £10 just to see how quickly it would arrive. I transferred from my Starling account which uses faster pays, transferring instantly or within 2 hours.Hours passed, then days. No sign of the money.Post Office subsequently emailed me saying I hadn't deposited any money into my account (and that I should). But I obviously had tried to.So after 4 days, I called their customer services and I was told they don't support faster pays and I should wait at least 5 working days "check next week" as they use a different banking network (Bank of Ireland?).This terribly poor in this day and age of instant payments. And worse they emailed me asking to deposit when I already had tried to.The website to manage your account is awful, slow and clunky. Should have been upgraded 10 years ago.All in all a poor experience. I'll be closing my account as soon as my money appears and I can withdraw it. Fingers crossed that's not a palava.

TrustpilotDon't apply for a loan!
Absolutely ridiculous service from the Post Office. My husband recently applied for a loan, was immediately accepted, and signed the agreement online. That was 2 weeks ago, the money has never appeared in his bank and he has never had any correspondence since to say that for some reason it has obviously been rejected. He has an excellent credit rating and ended up going somewhere else, what a waste of time and effort!

Every year I post a parcel to my daughter in Australia. I posted the last parcel in November 2022 and it never arrived. It has totally vanished. I am assuming it was because of the strikes at that time. But where are the parcels? Sorting rotting in a warehouse somewhere? I have written to the CEO of the post office, sent recorded delivery and have received no response and no acknowledgement. May I ask what you intend to do or will this situation remain u resolved?

TrustpilotMixed messaging and unhelpful
Twice in to try and post a parcel to Jersey, did exactly as asked by each counter assistant on each visit, in again today for third attempt, told something different again. Very unhelpful. I've already had the post office release my personal details to a member of the public, due to them losing a parcel. I complained and got a poor response. Since then I've had my car scratched, intimidated by the woman's sons and have had to move. It's time they sorted themselves out, the service continues to decline daily.

TrustpilotDo not insure with Post Office or Collinson
I decided to insure a holiday trip to New York last December (2022) with Post Office Ltd due to all the "awards" as best travel insurance 2022, etc.etc.I was due to fly to New York via Iceland but my flight was cancelled due to weather in Reykjavik (of all the places!!). However the airline PLAY was superb providing regular information and facilitating alternative flights/refund. Well done PLAY!!!.It would look to everyone that this should be a straight forward claim for any standard insurance policy but that is not the case.I put my claim on adding all the invoices/receipts, etc. just to receive an email from Collinson (Post Office Ltd) saying that my policy didn't cover for cancellation which it did. I replied with a copy of the policy clearly indicating that cancellation was covered. Probably there are a number of people out there when getting this kind of reply just give up so Collinson Post Office Ltd would cash that in. I then received several requests by different people from Collinson (more than 3 times) asking me to provide the information I have already given. It has been impossible to get any updates on my claim despite trying many times. Once I threatened them with taking the case to the Financial Ombudsman I finally got a reply. All of this trouble for a claim worth aprox. £500!!!. I can't think of what hoops you would have to jump through if the claim have been for thousands. Will I ever insure with Post Office Ltd Collinson. NEVER!!!.

TrustpilotI called into Keynsham post office…
I called into Keynsham post office yesterday in order to get a package weighed and posted. I haven't been to the post office since before Covid and was surprised to find it empty with one elderly lady behind the counter. I soon discovered why it was empty!I was informed she would not take the parcel as there was a dispute with post to Ireland. She would not explain or give me any advice. Her attitude was surly and unprofessional. On return home I called the company helpline, a lady ( Utah, America) answered and was extremely polite and helpful and was prepared to find the answer, She informed me to post the package through a red street box and it would arrive safely. Amazing that someone in America would take the trouble to be so helpful. but US customer care is often much better than we English. They receive extensive training in customer relations, if this lady had ever received any training she3 had obviously forgotten it. I am still none the wiser, the package is prepaid.

TrustpilotPaid for a parcel to the USA on line
Paid for a parcel to the USA on line, for home pick up.Postman arrived to pick up but did not have a label which would have been supplied. He offered to take the parcel anyway and sort out the label back at the depot. That evening I had an e-mail telling me the parcel had not been available for pick up. Next day the parcel was returned which at least is something, with a story about the international service having been hacked and not now operational. Well thanks for that Post Office, didn’t stop you taking my money in the first place. Now weeks later trying on line to reschedule the pick up I am told my order has expired. Now I find the Post Office are effectively uncontactable either online as none of the many various options are relevant, or by phone as clearly selecting any of the push this that or the other numbers will not actually connect you to a real person. No longer fit for purpose. Close it down. Save the trouble of postmen striking for even more pay.

TrustpilotShouldn’t be running a business!
This review is specifically for Chatham main post office. The owner/manager/postmaster, whatever his title is, is one of the most rude, arrogant and unprofessional runners of a business that I’ve ever witnessed. Considering he is supposed to be there to help people, he is miles away from being a person. As a pay-as-you-go gas and electric customer, I receive the monthly voucher that helps with cost of living. Clearly stated on my email I could split the payment as I have both electric and gas from the same company. He point blank refused to split the payment as he stated I’m not allowed, even though his staff have do in for me twice no problem whatsoever, and it clearly says I can on my email. He obviously refused to do it, and told me a pack of lies when answering my questions of why he wouldn’t do shen asked, then switched and got extremely rude and told me to f*#k off somewhere else and di it!This guy clearly shouldn’t be in the position he is in, dealing and communicating with the general public!
