DO NOT DEAL WITH THE CAR INSURANCE

DO not deal with these conmen! I pay £135 a month for my van insurance, I wanted to add a named driver, they quoted me double to add him! Got another quote online for £145 from another company for both drivers so wanted to cancel, told Id have to pay to cancel? Even though theyre now £2800 a year!? Not my fault theyre trying to rip me off, took 4hrs of arguing to finally get my full refund.....stay clear, just a hassle.

Staff so unhelpful at Prescot Post…

Staff so unhelpful at Prescot Post Office. Sent recorded signed for post from this post office with legal documents last week (25th) when checking the tracker it’s showing it hasn’t left this post office. I went in this morning (30th October at 9.50am) and a ginger lad, who was working on the sweet till last week said there’s nothing they can do and sent me over to the sorting office across the road to check there as he said everything goes to them and they are only open till 10am, also spoke to the recipient (dvla) who hadn’t received it. Went back as the sorting office said it looks as though it’s still in the post office..so went back and an older woman then serving at the post office counter, with short grey hair, had heard me asking the lad earlier (was ready to just tell me the same) and all they could say was you will have to claim through Royal Mail. Wasn’t willing to check their office just in case this was misplaced or check the tracking numbers for me. Just sat there saying there is nothing they can do.. absolute awful customer services and I would never use this post office again. Not a care in the world even when I had said that I had licence, passport, birth certificate in parcel.. I had also enclosed a postal order in this parcel for £99 for vehicle tax which they had charged me £13 fee for too. I asked for a direct line so i could give to dvla and she said they don’t have one? Never known a post office to not have a phone number? please avoid this post office at all costs… quick enough to take your money then not interested when they lose your parcel.. they have now caused me such grief and cost in having to apply for a new licence, passport and birth certificate due to their incompetence and not even willing to help.

The Word Royal wants removing…

The Word Royal wants removing ...terrible service .My sister posted me a birthday card .A card was left for me to collect and pay a surcharge of £2.50 .I went to the local sorting office in Bengry Road in Stoke to collect and pay the surcharge .I discovered that they had changed their opening times in the week to just opening 8 am to 10 am ....great when youre working ! But also the actual counter was closed due to illness ( only one persin working in counter service at main sorting office ..really ? ) .So a further visit had to made on Saturday morning .I paid the surcharge for the card only to discover that the surcharge was for using a used stamp which is a total lie ( unless the post office are supplying used stamps ) as my sistef used a new bought stamp..The only mistake my sister made was to put the coded part separate from the stamp as it is perforated to detatch from the majn stamp .I complained but got no where .So the rob dogs had money for a good stamp ,then charged an extra £2.50 for me to colkect it ( which took two jouneys ) .About time there was some other company where by like parcels you could send and receive letters.Apparently this prkblematic is the respnsabiilty of Royal mail not the Post Office.

Hi Colin, I'm sorry to hear this. However, Post Office Ltd are a separate company to Royal Mail. The handling and delivery of mail items is looked after by Royal Mail as well as the opening hours of Royal Mail Sorting Offices. With regards to your stamps and the surcharge received this would need to be investigated by Royal Mail themselves in the first instance as Royal Mail are the only provider of stamps to Post Office branches. -Ben

Barnard Castle post office awful service.

Barnard Castle post office. What a really rude and unhelpful lady works in this post office, I think she is the Manager and is always at position 5. On the rare occasions I have to go in I dread being assisted by this woman as she makes you feel like a nuisance and stupid. She is never pleasant. For example today I went in and queued and unfortunately had to go to number 5, however I was pleasant and polite, stated I wanted to return a parcel and I passed her the barcode so that the label could be printed and attached. All good until I asked her to please confirm the name and address on the label but she refused stating its the address attached to the barcode. Why in heavens name could she not just confirm the company name and address for me so that I had peace of mind it was going to the right place. Luckily I noticed the postcode on the receipt and that matched my records. This visit was several hours ago but still I am very dissapointed and upset about the service I received and I wish now I had challenged her but I like a easy life. I would rather travel 15 miles to another post office than go back in there. This is certainly not a one off the service she delivers is dreadful and Iam definitely not the only local person who has received awful service from this person. Some customer service training would be beneficial however I doubt this lady will change. I really think she enjoys making people feel uncomfortable, probably why there is always new staff!

Service!!! What service…

Like thousands of others across the country, here's another huge thumbs down for the post office. I'm talking deliveries. I ordered five different items this week. 3 were delivered promptly without fuss, Dpd and Ups. Two never arrived only the dreaded red note saying I have to do the 6 mile round trip to pickup myself. How is it all the other carriers can do what you pay for, but the post office fail constantly. Please just stop the service and let others who do it properly take it on.

Using a 48hr tracked service is awful

Using a 48hr tracked service is awful, there is no point in calling it 48hr, this is so misleading. The Post Office is a disgrace providing a service that can no longer be trusted at all! I posted an item at 9am on Monday in the Post Office and it still has not arrived on Wed at 17:00hrs.

I have had nothing but headaches

I have had nothing but headaches. I bought a delivery service from the Post Office online, and dropped the package off on the 24th Sept- with no problems. I have a receipt of drop off, and a receipt of collection by the DPD courier. The package has not been delivered, and nobody at DPD can tell me where my package has disappeared to. (The tracking does not work). I have called the post office, DPD (and Royal Mail -as advised by the post office strangely), and each entity is pointing at each other passing the buck. Multiple emails and phone calls back and forth and hours of my precious time wasted talking to useless personnel, have left me wanting to give up and claim my insurance from the Post Office. (If the post office would respond to the mails), and in the meantime, I have refunded my client so am out of pocket. I am horrified at the lack of care shown by these organisations and would give negative stars if that was possible.

Post Office Counters

Post Office Counters. I have noticed a sustained reduction in the recent level of service from Post Office Counters. Prior to lockdown one always felt that they could not do enough for you, since lockdown they do not seem to be able to do too little. This goes as far as mis-scanning and mischarging me to send specialist work items, that then arrived late, having been incorrectly sent, despite specifically asking for and paying for the service described. All rather disappointing.

A house hold business that should be ashamed to exist

My passport was notified to arrive yesterday. I received a follow up notification of their FIRST ERROR: it has been mis-directed. I requested delivery on Wednesday.Today Sunday 3 days before my requested delivery, as I sit in my flat, I receive notification it will be delivered today- SECOND ERROR.Minutes later - THIRD ERROR - notification by text: no-one at home will try again. NO-ONE TRIED TO DELIVER. NO man or van were near and no red card - FOURTH ERROR.FIFTH ERROR: redirection via automated voice instruction, tracking missing passport- number provided does not exist.SIXTH ERROR - searching for a way to make a complaint provides POSTRS, who appear to be a fabrications as the link it re-directs to, yep, you guessed it, to Royal Mail.2 days of errors. 2 days of incompetence. 2 days of blatant lies. How do these people get away with such non-service with no-one to regulate them.Utter shambles. Utter waste of time. Passport office have got my money and they don’t care either.

Disappointing service

Last week I went into M&S to exchange sterling to US dollars and the counter staff informed me that over the counter was not the best way to purchase this product. This morning my wife went into our local PO in Farlington Portsmouth thinking she was doing me a favour and the same transaction would be commission free. The chap in there just carried out the transaction without pointing out the fact that if it was instigated online, she could then pick up the dollars within a couple of hours, and get a considerably better exchange rate.Hence, we're $40 dollars worse off.I appreciate that an online search at our end would have been wise but why are the staff there if not to provide the best advice.Very disappointed in the service.

Terrible

Terrible The frustration of the post office service loosing a first class parcel worth £148 and offering £20 compensation. OK, so it should have gone recorded or signed for - stupid mistake not sure why that didn't happen, but the intense frustration is PO won't even attempt to contact the local office even with decent description with several identifiers, not a jot of effort, all calls diverted to so called customer services. The customer services person could not have put PO in a worse light and couldn't have cared less. Suspect she sees this all the time and is beyond caring anymore. Essentially in my view goods were under contract for delivery and they have not been delivered- but the people breaking the deal couldn't care less and were not willing to put any effort into finding it, despite having reference numbers, descriptors etc etc. Apparently, no policy to ensure parcels will be delivered or care taken, "it could be smashed in the sorting office and never made it out for delivery" was one of the suggestions customer services offered!!!

Re Post Office Travel Insurance

Re Post Office Travel InsuranceWe bought this for our trip to Venice in June off one of the comparison sites because it was the cheapest and yet had a good rating at the same time. However, our decision to go with the PO turned out to be a false economy as the policy is not fit for purpose.Easyjet cancelled out flight just before we dropped our bags at Gatwick and left us in the lurch. We had to make our own arrangements and paid a lot for money for a flight with another airline several hours later. We duly made a claim to PO, only to eventually receive an automated e-mail turning it down. We submitted more information to substantiate the claim and received an acknowledge, saying it was being reconsidered. However, weeks went by without any follow-up and despite our sending chasers. Totally, frustrated, we finally phoned PO (after difficulty in finding a telephone number) and received no apology for the delay and were only told that the original decision still stood. We asked to speak to a supervisor, but were told one wouldn't be available till Monday (we phoned on Friday) and they would contact us then. However, two weeks later, we haven't received the call and only a letter from the person we spoke to, saying that because we booked another flight, then the incident was not classed as a cancellation and, therefore, we didn't qualify for any payment. We have written a further letter, but it has been totally ignored.Don't touch PO travel insurance! One of the key reasons you take out such insurance is for cancellations or delays, and they don't cover it! Moreover, the office is very non-responsive and the staff inept. It's a waste of time contacting them

Do not pay in a cheque ,unless you want your money ro vanish

If I had known what I know now I would never have paid a cheque into the post office ,due to my local santander being closed down. Sold my car and paid the cheque from the dealer into post office for 8k. Posted last Wednesday, staff at post office/banking hub, they said it will be showing on your account by Friday and give you a worthless receipt with no value or cheque numbers on it. No one knows where rhis cheque is and bank and post office are blaming each other. I'm hoping car dealer issues me a replacement cheque and I will drive rhe 20 miles ro my nearest santander just to bank the cheque myself. * avoid paying in cheques at all costs at post office/ banking hub ,thats a joke in itself !! They don't do anything different that a post office attached to a newsagent don't do

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave a review and apologies your experience was not a more positive one.I appreciate that your bank has referred you back to us, however Post Office Ltd have a banking agreement in place with all our partner banks which stipulates how enquiries and complaints about banking services and transactions need to be handled. This banking agreement specifies that ALL banking complaints and enquiries need to be raised directly with your bank’s liaison team (not their general customer service team). This allows your bank to log the full details of the issue, and to liaise with our Financial Service Centre (FSC) to identify the problem and resolve it. All customers have to follow the same process for these issues, and whilst I apologise that you feel we are ‘passing the buck’ I can assure you that if we were able to help you, we would be happy to do so.You’ll now need to get back in touch with your bank’s liaison team and demand that they follow the correct process agreed between themselves and Post Office Ltd. -Jess

Bruce Grove

Bruce Grove. You need to invest in further training for your staff, your poor customer service skills are effecting people 's health within the community. By adding unnecessary stress, travel and costing us money by having to travel to a further post office as you so claim you are unable to assist. I have now personally experienced 3 separate visits to Bruce Grove my local post office and every time I've been advised you are unable to assist, i have then been forced to travel to another post office and they have been able to assist. My 76 year old grandma attended the post office with a fuel voucher to top up on her smart meter as advised by Citizens advice. There is no card or key with some smart meters, just a 19 digit code. You claimed the computer had told you no, and you couldn't assist. My grandma was then forced to travel to Broad Lane, where they where super helpful and efficient and managed to put the voucher on straight away with no issues. Please have some consideration, for your clients, who are trying to support there local post office, everyone should be treated equally but do think about the elderly and the people who have difficulty in travelling, or poor mental health that have been sent away unnecessary. If you don't know you should ask for help! really poor community spirit, and customer service. greatly disappointing !

Terrible Communication At The Post Office

I have just been to my local post office to try and post the item I paid for online, however they were unable to accept it due to what they tell me is a issue with the computer, the size, weight and price are all correct as confirmed by the staff however they told me that the error that comes up is something to to with the post by date,it was purchased on the 22nd and according to the date on the invoice it should be posted by the 29/03/22, I tried to post it today so it is well within the timescales. Why was it rejected ? The staff in the post office could offer no explanation, so I have just had a wasted and embarrassing trip to the post office, and I also have someone that is waiting for the item I am supposed to be sending. I have paid for a service you have my money and now you will not honour the service I have paid for, I have applied for a refund but according to your website it will take 7 days to process, where does this leave me, you want me to pay for the same service twice ?? this is not acceptable. I have also spoken to Royal Mail, they have told me that it is an issue that they are aware of but it is something that the post office should also be aware of, this includes the staff that are supposed to be processing it. The staff had no clue what so ever. Terrible communication between the people and work at Post Office and their customers.

Poor customer service

On the morning of Tuesday, 8th August, I went to the post office at Heathrow Airport Terminal 3 to send the pre-paid parcel, but the staff told me that the label wasn't recognized. I showed her the barcode from Parcel-Force, but she said it couldn't be recognized either. I didn't understand, but I had to send the parcel quickly, so I paid 16.45 pounds on the spot and sent the parcel. When I got home later that day, I tried to apply for a refund on Parcel-Force for the unrecognized label, but I found out that my pre-paid label was properly recognized and sent. I emailed Post Office Ltd customer service twice regarding this issue, but there has been no response for over a month. When I initially emailed Royal-mail regarding this issue, I received a response within three days, and Parcel-Force responded within one day. But there was no reply from Post Office Ltd.

Kensington Church Street Post Office

On the whole I find the Post Office excellent, with lovely helpful staff, today was the exception though at the branch on Kensington Church St. The man that served me today refused to process my daughter's application for a Zip card, a form signed and stamped by her school, he wanted her passport, no mention of this anywhere, he just refused to process it, I phoned TFL they said there was no reason for his actions. He was being deliberately difficult and unpleasant. I went into another post office, it was processed without question, even with a smile.

Moving house

Moving house, probably one of the most stressful things that we do. Sending important paperwork to solicitors is vital to a smooth move, and when a national mail service lets you down it multiplies the stress. Not once but twice they lost my mail, first class signed for at the post office before final collection only going 20 miles and gone into somewhere in the back of the post office or sorting center. Trying to find them is like finding a needle in a haystack. If somehow you find a phone number the wait time is unacceptable, and if you hang on you get someone who you can’t understand or just says go online and fill in a unnecessary complicated form. No provision for the elderly and the vulnerable

My confused housebound uncle asked me to help him pay his credit card bill but failed a security question about the amount of the last payment. He was told to call in again. Representative we spoke to was completely unhelpful and unempathetic when I explained that he still won’t know the answer to this question (or any other account-related questions) when he phones in again. She provided no solution to how a vulnerable person in his situation could pay his bill rather than accrue an ever-increasing balance at extortionate interest rates, making it clear that she did not care in the slightest!
