GoogleSTAY clear a company that uses a deposit protection that is not regulated. all deposit protection are a scam and this company is supporting the scam via not engaging in normal deposit return negotiations with a landlord. STAY CLEAR AS BITH THE AGENCY AND DPS ARR WORKING IN COHORT
RESPONSE:
Nope 100% correct. The agency fails to be impartial and negotiate a deposit dispute. All you do is refer any negotiation to the DPS. The DPS are not regulated in anyway and hold finances. Their Alternative Dispute Resolution has no external mediatory body resulting in any formal complaint they receive is dealt with in house and to their favour. Until the DPS has a proper regulatory body that they report to they are essentially working in cohort to the agencies and landlords. They deposit also belongs to the tenant and the Landlord needs to prove loss.. the DPS has no right at all to withhold any funds if the agency fails to negotiate with the Landlord and the tenant does not agree to the terms of the DPS. If the Landlord wants to then seek damages they need to move through small claims court to recover costs.
simply put until all the deposit protections - especially the DPS have an independent regulatory body in place they are not allowed to hold and adjudicate on funds.. especially when the tenant has not agreed to the DPS terms.
So correct agency yes..

We think you may have reviewed the wrong 'Greenleaf Property' however in a general reply, The DPS and other deposit schemes such as mydeposits are independent companies and provide an impartial service to protect tenants. Any decisions made by them during the mediation process are in no way connected to any landlord or agent.

My initial thought was that I was going to have a battle on my hands to get the fencing corrected and scaffolding cleared. However, your professionalism, communication and co-ordination with the team has been excellent, with a new garden fence in and repainted front of house completed within days, with the scaffolding due to come down.
The work that Joe, Martino and Mark did on these improvements was excellent and very professional with a very friendly service which is a rarity in my experience, particularly in the building industry.

They are very skilled at filtering potential viewers. Only four potential buyers viewed the property, and all of them were very positive.
