Danielle is amazing in Ruislip Manor

I wanted to write this review to let you know how brilliant Oliver Squires and his team in the Ruislip Manor office have been. We have had a horrendous journey beginning in March when we decided to move home, with the significant challenges of COVID, a loss of a buyer and chain, some challenges from another high street agent and gaining a new chain which has recently exchanged the team there have been amazing throughout. In particular Danielle Gennard who without a doubt has held our hand through the whole process, she has been the only one to keep us sane over this extremely difficult period of months whilst we did not know our future. Danielle pushed this through everyday, chasing, phoning, emailing, reassuring me, calming me and most importantly being completely honest with me. Danielle is a credit to that team and we could not have exchanged today without her help. Please pass on our thanks to Danielle, Oliver and the whole team who have helped to get us to this point. A very relieved and happy client.

Absolutely recommend Gibbs Gillespie…

Absolutely recommend Gibbs Gillespie especially Dominic. Very professional but also very down to earth. From meeting up in the beginning till we handed over the keys they were friendly and hard working. Made a stressful move that little bit easier. Thanks

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service. Have been left without any running water for a week. I pay 2k a month for what? Having to chase staff for automated replies. Nobody cares at all as they go home to their working washing machines and running water. But no bother is given for any tenants. This is illegal and I will be making a formal complaint.

Gibbs Gillespie Rayners Lane branch…

Gibbs Gillespie Rayners Lane branch have been great in helping us sell our house. A special thanks to Tim Buckley who has been a massive support to us throughout lockdown. Nothing was too much trouble for him and so supportive on a bit of a roller coaster journey. He went above and beyond to ensure the sale of our house and a big thank you to him. We would Laos like to say that Chris and all the other staff at the branch were always helpful and auctioned things very quickly. We always recommend Gibbs Gillespie to family and friends who are thinking of selling their property.

Very happy to meet Harry Rai

Very happy to meet Harry RaiI decided to buy a property in the Uxbridge area with my friend. I live in kent, so the journey would take me about two hours. I tried to fix as many viewings as I could have with several agents on Saturday 1st August, but I only got two appointments. After these two appointments, my friend and I decided to look around the agents on the high street. It was the first time we met Mr Rai. I explained to him that we did not have any appointments with him, but we would like to view couple of the flats displayed on his window. Mr Rai made us feel very welcome. He had some customers already, however he made our wait comfortable. As soon as the csutomers left, He showed us around a couple flats, then he kindly went to get another set of keys for a flat in a different building, so we had the chance to view more properties. He was very professional, and gave us some very useful advice at the end of our visit.

Harry Rai is a Class Apart🌟

Harry Rai is a Class Apart🌟Buying a property during these uncertain Covid times is tricky. The one thing one can ask for is a good sales consultant. Harry has a very candid, informed and versatile way of consulting. I visited the Howarth Homes development once and he gave I and my partner his undivided attention and a very personalised tour. His open approach is admirable and played a pivotal role in our decision to buy the apartment. We are delighted that our offer is accepted. Harry also masters the art of after sales service. On our second visit he once again welcomed us and helped us overcome any cognitive dissonance. His well wishes very beautifully summed-up our deal “I sincerely hope this Is your most valuable investment”Thank you Harry for making a hard investment decision a pleasant one.

Avoid - Ombudsman Case won plus an award due to poor service

Property Ombudsman (Case 21361) 3 of 5 complaints upheld, plus concern expressed regarding practice for a fourth complaint and compensation awarded accordingly. The following quotes are the findings of the Ombudsman. 1. Market Appraisal: "I do not consider that the approach taken here by Gibbs Gillespie to establish an appropriate asking price provides a sufficient explanation for the sum they initially recommended of £780,000 and then subsequently marketed at £750,000. They have not therefore met the requirements of Paragraph 4a of the Code as they should have conducted research into other sold properties nearer to the Property’s specifications"; 2. Viewings and Feedback: "Whilst there are a record of some of the feedback being conveyed by email, the majority appeared to be conveyed by telephone. There is no record of this within Gibbs Gillespie’s file and so there is insufficient evidence to support their claim that all feedback conveyed via this method was initiated by them. As such, I will support this complaint to that extent and make an award of compensation" In fact it mostly relied upon us to continually chasing for feedback and; 3. Offers "GibbsGillespie’s communication was somewhat lacking here and they could have been more proactive in terms of explaining the circumstances of the buyer sooner. This would have allowed the Complainants to be in receipt of all facts. GG should have also, in my view, provided an update (even if to just say they had not heard anything further) when the Complainants were expecting to receive this and responded sooner than they did to the update request from the Complainant. I recognise therefore that some aggravation has been caused here which merits an award";4. Security of Keys - not sufficient evidence for judgement, however when viewing the CCTV footage the ombudsman wrote: “I note the evidence of the video recording and can of course recognise your concern.”We wouldn't give one star but unfortunately a review with no stars is not possible.

This is for Chantelle @ Rickmansworth office. Chantelle supported me through my first introduction to private renting. I was moving from Cornwall - London during the Xmas/new year period which was very daunting in itself. I was facing many challenges with time constraints. Chantelle went above and beyond knowing how stressed I was to help me through the vetting process , and secure the property in time for me to start my new job. She kept me informed at every stage of the process and has kept in contact to make sure I’m ok after I moved. I want to thank her and her team very much for helping me and should it be needed I wouldn’t hesitate to work with her and her team again on future properties.

I can't recommend Gibbs Gillespie in Rickmansworth enough! They are professional, experienced, knowledgeable and leaders in their market. I have always opted to work with Gibbs Gillespie over the years - their professionalism, service and can-do attitude makes them an absolute pleasure to deal with. From initial contact right the way through the journey, they take the 'hassle' out of the stress of buying and selling a property. It has been a breeze dealing with the whole team at Rickmansworth; however, I must give a special mention to George Callaghan, Branch Manager, who has excelled in each and every respect and always gone that extra mile, over and above expectation. Once again, it 's a full 5 stars from me for Gibbs Gillespie! Well done all of you and thank you again so much! This is certainly an organisation I would feel very blessed to be part of! Until next time . . .

I was looking for a property to rent and they found the perfect place for me. All the team were especially helpful and informative, especially Rachel and Ashley who helped me through the minefield of referencing etc which I found particularly daunting. I am now settled and happy. I cannot fault the service or commitment of the team and I have no qualms in recommending Gibbs Gillespie to potential renters or buyers. I have now instructed them to sell my mother's property which my sister and I hope will also have a satisfactory outcome.

Both my sisters and I were very happy with the way that the Rickmansworth team of Gibvs Gillespie dealt with the sale of my late parents' house. Josh Reynolds and his team acted very professionally throughout the process. They kept us informed about everything that we as going on with regard to the sale and were always on hand to answer queries and to give advice. As an agent I would recommend them to anyone who is trying to sell a house in the Rickmansworth area. Karen Abbie

The team at Gibbs Gillespie Rickmansworth have been brilliant throughout the purchase of our first home. As first time buyers we needed all the advice and support available and they were great at ensuring the whole process was as straightforward as possible for us, always keeping us informed and involved in everything that happened. Special thanks to Philip for helping us to find our perfect first home, and to George for helping and supporting us throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend! Thanks again!

First time buyer’s experience.

I had two encounters with Gibbs Gillespie, first in November and second in March. I believe Josh was the first agent that showed us around. He was very knowledgable of the development, not pushy (unlike a lot of other estate agents) and welcoming. This was the first property I had viewed in my search so predictably, I wasn’t going to set myself on the first place I saw. After a lot of searches in the same area and finding nothing I liked (property-wise and agent-wise) I came back to Gibbs and this time Harry Rai was the agent showing me around. Harry has prepared his own slides on the development with key points that he felt were important to know (which they were). He has a good system of note taking providing a matrix for viewers to document which flats they have seen and their thoughts. He was very honest and didn’t try to hide points that may be perceived as negative. I would say 30% of the reason I chose this flat is because of Harry’s assistance. I am now in the process of securing a mortgage for a property shown to me by Gibbs Gillespie and I’m very excited to be so close to owning my first home. A lot of agencies would see me (young female buying their first home alone) and think that they can spin me some nonsense and think I won’t be able to see through it but the agents at Gibbs were nothing like that, which is so important and makes me more inclined to use them in the future.

The service we received from Oliver…

The service we received from Oliver Squires, Director of Ruislip Manor branch, on the sale of our family home on behalf my father, was simply outstanding. The professionalism he showed, throughout what became quite an emotionally difficult process, is to be commended. Due to the sensitive nature of the sale it was imperative that the right buyer was found with the minimum of advertising and fuss. He used his local knowledge of purchasers and investors to find us the right buyer and always put our needs as clients first. I was kept informed at every stage of the process and communication was excellent. If Oliver Squires is representative of all Gibbs Gillespie agents then they truly deserve 5 stars! Thank you

I am full of praise for Robert White in the Amersham office. I believe that his marketing strategy worked perfectly and attracted 2 prospective buyers quickly, which I am sure was helped by his friendly manner. He worked hard to keep us informed along the way, and we appreciated that sometimes this was difficult when other parties weren’t sharing information as much as we would have liked. He always remained confident and kept a cool head. Amersham is a new office, and based on our awful experiences with Chesham agents in the past there really was a need for a fresh approach in the area.

One star is too generous, frankly. Phoned on a Weds to view a rental property, and was given a slot on the Thursday afternoon. I had to move some stuff around for work because the only slot they would arrange was 2pm on Thursday - nothing later, no alternative days because they decided the property would be gone by Friday. I drove for an hour from work to view the property, only to be told when I arrived that it had been cancelled. I received no notification of this, despite the fact my wife had phoned the office hours before. I complained, I received various excuses - they initially blamed the landlord, but eventually conceeded that the lack of communication shouldn't have happened. I was advised they would get in touch to rearrange the viewing ASAP. Then on Friday, a viewing was scheduled for Saturday morning. On the Saturday we rang ahead this time, was advised it should be fine. When we arrived we were informed that the ground floor property advertised was not the property we'd be viewing - instead we would be viewing a 1st floor property. We were specifically looking to move because we need a place accessible from the ground floor. There was no real apology for this, the inconvenience, the lack of communication, the time we wasted, petrol spent or anything. The person showing us around couldn't even advise us of the rent or council tax. When I rang to complain I didn't really get an apology, and was offered "some insight" - basically they were blaming the landlord again, missing the point that my complaint was around the lack of communication. I'm sure Gibbs & Gillespie get their service right sometimes - they must do, to have a functioning business. But when they get it wrong, it becomes glaringly obvious that they don't care about the lives of the people who'll be living in the properties they advertise. Appalling treatment of clients, unprofessional staff, and misleading. P.S. The property which is apparently unavailable is still being advertised, and they've added "ZERO DEPOSIT" to draw more people in. Terrible.

Moving house is a big challenge and if you are relocating from a different county then it’s even a bigger challenge especially when you are coming to country like UK. I was relocating from Netherlands to UK and needed a professional real estate agent like Gibbs Gillespie to secure a property for me. Isaac Wren from Gibbs Gillespie Rickmansworth understood my requirement and patiently helped in finding an appropriate house for me. He is very professional and available to listens good to your requirements and suggest good properties. I would highly recommend contacting Isaac if you are looking for a good property in the surroundings of Rickmansworth. Thanks Isaac for all the help & support !!

I had a great experience dealing with Gibbs Gillespie Rickmansworth; I called in with a very limited timeline before I needed to move and thanks to Isaac Wren's speedy help and professionalism was able to find the perfect flat. He understood my requirements and was incredibly helpful in organising viewings as well as letting me know of relevant properties as they had come onto market which was a welcome change from previous experience with different estate agents. I hope to stay in my current property for a long time but would definitely use again the next time I am looking to move.

We have just bought a property through Gibbs Gillespie in Rickmansworth, and have been pleased with the service we received from Tom and Will throughout. From the first viewing, Tom was professional and straightforward, without pushy sales tactics, and was willing to get answers to our questions promptly before we had made an offer. He made the effort to get to know us as a family and we felt confident that he would put our offer forward in the best possible light. Both Tom and Will were extremely helpful and efficient when it particularly counted, towards the end of the transaction, when a lot of communication between parties needed to be facilitated. This enabled us to reach a positive conclusion for the whole chain. Overall, it has been a pleasure dealing with the company, and certainly a breath of fresh air when compared to London agents.
