We attempted to buy a flat advertised by Chancellors. 5 months later, we had to give up and lost thousands in the process. The property had been falsely adverstised to us (sold with a garden and parking which we later found out the property has no legal rights to). As soon as we told them about the issue, they just starting ignoring us and refused to offer any help. The craziest part is that the directors of the company have been made aware but think it is acceptable, and the property has now been readvertised with the same lies! How they can legally get away with it is insane. Don't waste your time and money with this agency, there are way better agents available, as we have now discovered!

I can’t stress enough how much I would recommend not putting your property up for sale with chancellors. The service I’ve received from Chancellors as a potential buyer has been awful on a number of occasions. In 2019 I tried to view a property with them that had been on the market for some time - no one was able to answer any questions about the property and when it came to trying to book a viewing they never returned any calls. In the end we just gave up. Fast forward 3 years and the service remains the same. I emailed twice, weeks apart, with queries about a property, received absolutely no response, called and was then told conflicting information about the property by 2 people. I then arranged a viewing which they said they would confirm, there was no further call. On the day of the viewing I called them to confirm and they said they’d call back. No call back 6 hours later. I called again, was again promised a call back within 10 minutes, no call back. No surprise that the end result was no viewing. It’s no wonder that these properties aren’t selling.

I have used Chancellors as letting agents for over 20 years and found them excellent to deal with. Andrew Jourdain has been exceptional with his communications and advice. A very friendly and efficient team and apart from an accounting error which was quickly resolved would not have any complaints. After putting my property on the market through Chancellors I had First Class support from Jamie, Simon and Andrew. Jamie kept me up to date at every twist and turn in the run up to the completion of the sale. I can strongly recommend Chancellors of Richmond and Jamie Higgs.

The team at Chancellors in Richmond found me a buyer in what is a really tough market at the moment. The sales team is proactive and provides regular updates and advice as to what is the best strategy to attract buyers, they know their stuff. They were always available when I wanted to talk and even helped with issues that were frankly not theirs to fix. Thank you Simon, Jamie, Sasha and Andrew and the whole team! Note : prior to selling the property the property was managed for 4 years through Chancellors as well and the service was great here as well (very little involvement on my part apart from discussing lease renewals and issues that would arise from time to time)

Our experience with Sam Hall and Chancellors Richmond office has been perfect, without any problems at all. Sam is really helpful, he gave us the best advice and found us a wonderful flat to rent. My faith in estate agents has been restored - it's not just about the sales commission!! I have been dealing with Daniel Johns over the last 3 months with regard to a very tricky house sale. Throughout Daniel has been professional, tenacious and upbeat, even when faced with the most difficult of situations.
