I was left was lots of delays from the vendor and their solicitor, but Melisa and Sarah kept in constant touch with me to let me know that they were still pushing to move things forward. Harry from Allen and Harris, supported myself and my partner with our mortgage process and application. This included 3 x face to face appointments. During the appointments harry was very professional, friendly and approachable. Things we didn’t quite understand, being first time buyers, were explained in great depth. Not only did harry sort out the mortgage application, but also all the important insurance covers too. May I add, 10 days after our mortgage application was submitted, we had an email back to say it was accepted! Much quicker than what we thought the process would take! ☺️ thank you! We would definitely recommend

Rude and unhelpful

My goodness - where to begin… Allen and Harris clevedon branch Somerset. I’ve dealt with a lot of estate agents, as I’m sure most of us have. I’ve bought houses, sold houses, and rented more times than I’d have liked. This estate agent was by far the worst I’ve dealt with- which is saying something as we all know what they are like to deal with. Lack of communication Lack of customer service Lack of knowledge Lack of understanding Lack of basic assistance Lack of professionalism to a very high standard I dealt with two agents from this branch and both were not only unhelpful but rude and failed to do even the most basic of tasks when dealing with my rental. Both myself ( the renter) and the client ( the home owner) have been stunned by the complete lack of service. I can safely say I will never use this agency again and will make sure I don’t deal with any of the branches in the future - I will actively not peruse any further business dealings with the entire company - not just the clevedon branch. Up to you if you use them- just be ware and be prepared to do a lot of the work yourself and deal with really very rude and unhelpful staff.

Thoroughly recommend Allen and Harris. Selling a house that was my grandparents and latterly my late parents was a difficult and emotional thing to do, coupled with me living a two hour drive away. The team were very kind, thoughtful. Kept me up to date and really went above and beyond, offering to get legal paperwork from their office to my solicitors for me. I would particularly mention James Lamb and Connor Sherman. I wouldn't hesitate to use Allen & Harris for buying or selling any property.

I have only had the pleasure of dealing with some members of the lettings team, however I have to say that everyone I have spoken to has been incredibly helpful. Spence and James were absolutely fantastic. I gave them two days to get me into a new apartment and they worked so hard to make it happen for me. I phoned on Thursday morning and by Saturday I was picking up the keys! Amazing!

Absolute joke

Emailed to ask for a viewing of a house, was called by (apparently) the head office and told it would be booked in. We arranged our day around the viewing and got excited to view what looked like a really lovely house. I got a bad feeling the day we were meant to view it as I hadn't had any confirmation email and was told that I hadn't been booked in at all. I then asked to book it in for another evening and my details were taken this time. Again, arranged our day around the viewing, didn't receive a confirmation email. Rang again and was told that it hadn't been booked in, they didn't have my details on the database and the vendor had said they only wanted people that were ready to buy to view the house and because mine is going through the process of being put on the market, that I couldn't view it. Absolute joke. Wasted so much of our time. AND they had the balls to ask if we needed an estate agent to put our house on the market - as if I would go anywhere near them now. Will be avoiding any houses that are being sold by them now and in the future.

A house went up for rent in Treherbert, it was advertised to this agency. Little did I know when me and my partner filled out all the paperwork, we had to deal with another company called Sequence. So basically any maintenance that was needed we were palmed off to another estate agents. Allen and Harris only did one thing for us and that was an inspection. But when we list the issues so they could send it to the landlord. Half the stuff was not in the report. In the end I told both Sequence and Allen and Harris. I will no longer be phoning. Everything will be by email or text. I even said to a staff member at Allen and Harris 'what is the point of inspecting the house when they don't deal with the maintenance, Sequence might as well inspect the house'. Believe me, you don't want to be dealing with sequence. It will put stress on you and/or your family. We had 3 floods for the past 4 years living at the house in Treherbert. Took sequence a year just to do one and thats just one of the issues we had. In my opinion I recommend that you stay away from Allen and Harris when it comes to renting as you will be dealing with sequence. If you don't believe me how bad sequence are, then I suggest typing them in Google maps and check their reviews.

A very poorly run letting agency

My friend and I rented a property through the Allen and Harris branch in Talbot Green, South Wales, and we had the worst experience as tenants.The letting agents had no idea what they were doing the entire time we were renting the property. They are obviously lacking in very basic training, and were just generally awful with communication and following through with things they said they would get done.I am urging the management at this Allen and Harris branch to review the way they run the branch, and the training that is provided to letting agents.As a result of this terrible experience my friend and I are now completely put off ever renting through an agency ever again.And whoever reads this, please think twice before renting through Allen and Harris. It is a very poorly run agency as far as I'm concerned.
