GoogleCan't give enough credit to Robin and Ashley - helped us move house in August (and one that fell through last year!). They were supportive and helpful with us negotiating the world of home buying for the first time and made us feel like they really cared about our move being a success - certainly didn't feel like just numbers on a spreadsheet or commission figure. Will definitely use them when the time comes to move again.

GoogleRalph James were patient, professional and friendly from start to finish. Through no fault of RJ we worked with them for some time and with a few agents (Sam, Ashley and Caedi) and whatever happened with the sale they remained supportive and helped in any way we needed them to get the sale through. This was our first time selling and I couldn’t recommend using Ralph James enough if you are selling or buying in the area!

Honest opinions on valuations and marketing. Great photo's and video to really sell our house. Not only did Ashley get us more than we asked for in terms of selling our home he really added value by proactively managing the whole sale process. He was always in touch with all of the parties to make sure despite a global pandemic and lockdown everything went as smoothly as possible and nothing was left to chance. GoogleAs first time buyers, we were unsure what to expect when looking for and purchasing a home. Ashley, Leah, Robin and the whole team at Ralph James were incredibly helpful every step of the way. We were always greeted with a smile when going into the office and they were happy to assist with any queries we had either face to face or via email. We would highly recommend Ralph James and would certainly use them again in the future.

GoogleDo not use! I used Ralph James for the 1st time 3 years ago when I purchased my property. I thought they were quite good then but to be honest I was a straightforward buyer with no chain. I decided to sell last year so approached Ralph James, however they were not being competitive on price and would not price match claiming they were so good. I used another estate agent but then switched to them. After 4 weeks and not a single viewing I gave them 2 weeks written notice. They contacted me and asked I didn’t go elsewhere but I stood by my decision. Bizarrely a viewing came through the door just days later and this person made an offer which I excepted. And then I began! Nearly 4 months later my solicitor discovered that the buyer did not have a mortgage. This went on for months and I had to change estate agent then because I couldn’t trust them and needed to try and find a new buyer. Several estate agents in the area contacted me having seen my property go back on the market and asking what happened. When I explained everyone said, ‘did Ralph James not check that the buyer was able to get a mortgage!’ Clearly not! Ralph James explained that “yes they were naive”. Being naive lost me a house purchase, along with nearly £7k. I had to fight to not lose this. I am also pregnant so trying to set up my family home and thanks to Ralph James this has caused me immense stress. In December they contact me and just before Christmas a valuation was conducted and apparently the buyer still wanted to purchase my property. Then came Christmas and the New Year. I visited Ralph James in the New Year and was told the same thing, the buyer is proceeding and is nearly there. We are now in March and I have heard not a single word from Ralph James, no phone call, no email, nothing. I’m sure you agree that this is very unprofessional and a mess they left me in. I’m now 7 months pregnant and still not moved but lost a load of money! DO NOT USE THEM!!

I work at a Law Firm and having had a lot of mutual clients over the years, we have first hand experience of the professionalism that the RJ team demonstrate in all their dealings with clients and other professionals working on the transaction. We have received lots of excellent feedback from clients about the team at Ralph James and how they put them at ease and how they deal with everyone in a very honest way. Personally, we have always found them to be very knowledgeable both about the property market and the geographical areas in which they operate as well as showing a remarkable knowledge and understanding of conveyancing! When you explain something to them, they understand what you are explaining to them and they work hard to help you find a solution whenever a problem comes up. This really is great for buyers and sellers because it means that their transaction goes through smoothly with the estate agent and the conveyancer working together to achieve the best results every time. Thomas and Ashley are great guys and genuine too. They care about their clients and have a real passion for what they do. They have a great team working around them - Kay, Nicky, Callum, Robin. This company will definitely go from strength to strength and we would recommend them highly.

GoogleBought and Sold through Ralph James. A great group of people, very approachable and always at the end of the phone when we needed them. We sold on our very first viewing, and they made a huge effort to find us a house too. We used their financial advisor Leah, who was absolutely brilliant. They recommended good local solicitors who were also brilliant, and made life when signing contracts so much easier. Highly recommend to anyone looking to use a local agent.

GoogleI was a big estate agent sceptic. We started our house sale with a local agent and the experience was as predicted. It was frustrating but I was smug that I was right . Then we moved to Ralph James. Everything about their service was more personable, they have grasped that Estate agents need to do better, need to provide more for their fee. This isn’t a good review because it was a quick sale, it wasn’t but I can honestly say I am happy to pay the Ralph James fee. Ashley in particular provided an excellent service, communicated well and acted as our representative on all aspects of the sale process. Another note on viewings, we viewed lots of properties with every local agent, the Ralph James Saturday team were by far the most superior so knowing this was who was showing my home every week was a relief!

GoogleAs a landlord who lives abroad, my experience over the years with Ralph James and their home managment team was inconsistent in their competency. I am now pleased to say, that for the last six months I have had a much better management team helping me. A special mention should go to the management assistant I work with, who is very capable and pleasant too.
