GoogleDo not touch this place with a barge pole. Tried to buy a house through this company had 3 buyers bidding on a property marketed as ready to move in.The branch manger phoned me saying if we used their mortgage services they would pick me as we all made the same final bid (not sure of the legality of this). On the 2nd visit to the property we were refused access to the roof. After completing the home buyers report it turned out there were serious issues with the roof which were confirmed by reputable contractors. When I asked about re-neogiating the branch manager very rudely told me they would just relist it at a higher price to negotiate down to the price we landed on, that price was only reached by 3 of us bidding on it with no knowledge of problems. I lost around 1k on this but was more angry at the lies and the way this firm conducts business. Appalling service and very untrustworthy avoid at all costNegativeProfessionalism
Many thanks for your review Ryan. I have spent some time looking at your aborted purchase through us today and am now in a position to respond to your comments. We, along with every other agency in the UK work on behalf of our Vendors to secure the highest possible price for the sale of their property. When we have multiple offers from different parties, which is now common place in today's market, we will always try and secure the best offer from the buyer in the best position to proceed. To ensure a sale proceeds as quickly to completion as possible we would prefer the buyer to use our in-house mortgage broker and preferably instruct a solicitor that we have a good working relationship with. We do this as the sale is likely to go through significantly quicker and it also allows us to keep everyone informed as we are not relying on unknown third parties to keep us updated. This obviously benefits both our vendor and the purchaser and as you can see from the numerous reviews on Google, it is appreciated by many of our clients. I am not sure why you feel we denied you access to the roof. This would be of no benefit to us whatsoever, as your surveyor and subsequent home buyers survey would uncover any issues that may or may not be found? Following your home-buyers report, you wanted to negotiate a £20,000 price reduction for many items that were clearly visible from your initial viewings. To put this in context, this is approximately 10% of the asking price. The conversation you had with one of our consultants would not have been conducted in a rude manner, but perhaps did not go the way you had hoped? You were informed our Vendor would be open to some negotiation, however £20,000 was out of the question as the market had risen since your initial offer. They were in a position where they could re-market the property as they were under no time pressure and could secure a higher offer than you had originally made at the beginning of the year. This would clearly leave them in a better position to negotiate and in the meantime they carried out the remedial works to the roof. This brings me back to the beginning of my reply, we work on behalf of our vendors and take their instruction on how to proceed. I am sorry this experience has left a bitter taste, however at no point have we lied to you or sought to mislead you in anyway. GoogleI’ve always heard very good reviews about house+co property and to be honest, I’ve never had any trouble calling to enquire about properties they have up for rent, however, today I had to call the number which was advertised with the properties I was interested in and didn’t have the same good experience. I called 4 times until someone got my call, which I understand as it is Saturday and they may be opening the office a bit late than 9 even tho the opening time is 9, but the lady who picked up the phone told me that she would give me the right number as this was the sales number. She did give me a number, but it was exactly the same number I was already calling... so the she decided to quickly hang up on me and that’s it. I then realized it was the same number and decided to call back as me and my fiancé are in a desperate need of a new flat due to our current landlord selling the apartment we live in. I called 5 more times and every time this lady picked up the phone and said the usual hi this house+co property and heard my voice, she just kept hanging up on me?!?!?! I’m sorry we’re having to look for a new apt and decided to call this agency, I didn’t know it would’ve bothered her that much. This is not the right way to proceed with people never mind the fact that I have been VERY nice to her. Unfortunately this lady didn’t say her name, so I cannot refer to her, but I will do my best to find out who she is. I ended up calling another number and Megan attended me, but she was A LOT MORE NICER and definitely helped quite a lot. No comparison between both ladies can be made. Megan helped me immediately with my enquirers and did a great job!
Hi Dayana, our lettings office is closed on a Saturday apart from out of hours emergency issues, the opening hours are advertised on our website as well as on Google. Our phone lines divert to the sales office on a Saturday to enable our clients to avoid this frustrating situation. GoogleI was very surprised and really disappointed when I tried to book a viewing just half an hour ago for a 2 bedroom property in St. George onbehalf of my friends. I’m more familiar with arranging viewings as I work in the industry and he asked for my help because he is at work and can’t make calls or send e-mails during work time. The lady I’ve spoke with was stand of fish from the offset from and became quite rude and unprofessional when I explained the Situation. She told me that she won’t book me in because I’m not the person who will be moving into the property. She did not explain why just told me that she won’t full stop. I asked her to take me details and book me In as I would be looking to view the property either way! she refused! Her whole behaviour was completely unprofessional and I’m 100% sure that I will never recommend to any of my friends or colleagues to rent with house and co. They have lost a good applicant for a nonsensical reason!

GoogleBought and sold a house through House + Co recently having had a bad experience selling the existing property through another firm. House + Co helped make a very stressful process as smooth as possible and the team are all very helpful and easy to deal with. My sense is that they do a lot more than other firms to match buyers with the right property and avoid time wasters, and they know their patch inside out so if you're selling in BS5 thoroughly recommend using them.

GoogleLetting with House & Co and I'm very happy so far with the service - we haven't had to chase them for stuff and any house issues have been dealt with promptly and transparently using a proper online reporting tool. We rang Dave when our boiler stopped working, 5.45PM on a Friday night and he managed to get a boiler man in touch the same day who fixed it within a few minutes then offered his number if anything else came up. Really appreciated as it was a cold night and late on a Friday! Previous tenant said they were good when I was viewing the house and I'd agree, nice to know a proper lettings agency does exist.

From the very first valuation visit with Gavin to the final liaisons with solicitors prior to exchange conducted by Ria I can't fault the service. All the staff are friendly and efficient. The whole process was aided significantly with House and Co's excellent communication, prompt response time for queries and willingness to help. They are clearly very well acquainted with the local property market and were able to secure several offers and a firm buyer after one 'open day' event for my property. They are a very friendly team with excellent local knowledge of the area and house buying process. As a first time buyer I was nervous about the process and making such a huge commitment on my own. GoogleHouse and Co were the estate agents on our house purchase in Fishponds, Bristol. They kept up good communication throughout, passing information between us and the sellers. There were some delays with our conveyancing but they made sure the sellers were aware of the situation. In general made the process as smooth as possible.

Google5 star service selling our home and the communication was 1st class all the way!! It was a bit daunting selling up but claire and the team made everything so smooth. We initially had 3 agents value our home and we felt that one of the other agents that deals with the area (bs5) under valued to gain a quick sale, the price given by house and co gave was what we wanted to achive but we didn't expect to go way over the asking price by a massive amount. We can't thank you all enough!!! If your looking to sell up then look no further, you'll be in safe hands with house and co and hopefully be as lucky as us and achieve more money for your home than you think.
