Although it took a long time for the transaction to go through (and this was in no way John Shepherd's fault) all dealings with their office went very smoothly with minimum effort on my part. Office staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Of course, as the buyer I was not the paymaster so doubly good that any enquiry from me was met with a sense of urgency and answered in a timely way.

Disgusting service. They have held on to my deposit it has been over a month since my tenancy finished. I have tried to contact them many times and just get left in the dark. Get told different things by different people. No one actually knows what they’re doing here. Appealing agents, rude and just take your money

They are good estate agents indeed. Very professional. Are not greedy (for instance, I've contacted one agent that wasn't keen on returning my deposit, whereas John Shepperd couldn't care less about it and would return it to you on the spot - that makes a huge difference. On top of other services where they put the tenant on the priority, I really like when my tenancy is managed by JS.

GoogleI had a viewing booked with them for a property to let. On the day they cancelled the viewing due to one agent being off sick and the other overworked . Naturally anyone can understand and be flexible in those circumstances so the viewing was re-booked. My husband and I took time off work to attend the viewing that they re-booked, but by that time the property had already been let and they did not bother to inform us as we sat in the car outside the property. When I rang they said they had no record of our viewing (the one they themselves re-scheduled due to their own issues).

My experience with John Shepherd has been fantastic so far. I had a viewing with Brendan Pearce, who was helpful and honest. He even offered to negotiate the price down, which he did. They have since been quick to reply to any questions I have had and the process of renting a property has been very smooth so far.

We have been complaining about no cold running water in kitchen. Which works when it wants n 4loose taps in bathroom which seem to be getting worse over time these issues have not been rectified n feel strongly let down

After selling via JS (see previous post) we were left in a situation where renting short term was our only option - thankfully the whole process has been just as flawless with their lettings department as it was with their sales department!We were stung quite badly by a local competitor (I don’t like to name names but Xact) however from our very first interactions with Alan booking us the viewing, Gail being a fantastic viewings rep & Jamie and Drew taking over once our application was in I’ve been floored by the service.It all went without a hitch. They kept us in the loop while we were away on holiday & Jamie even responded to me outside of hours to ensure I had the metre readings I needed when I needed them.I wouldn’t think twice about using JS again in the future & hope that in 12 months time when we are looking to purchase we will be dealing with them!
