Fantastic estate agency. My move was far from easy and I experienced 3 estate agents in the process. WINKWORTH were head and shoulders above the others. Especially Robin miles and Gareth Hughes who went above and beyond to proactively sell my house. They were on it, had a sense of urgency when needed without getting flustered. Were proactive. Sorted issues out before I even had to call - they would even phone me with a recommendation. They also took on full accountability and responsibility and did daily chasing on things when needed with buyers and solicitors.

We were feeling a little bit uneasy after moving to the UK from the states and being burned by a number of agents. After being cited fees that were extremely high (almost a full months rent by one agent) we found Winkworth. Many agents were not straightforward and even tried to hide their ridiculous fees. James and the team at Winkworth were extremely transparent and great to work with. Everyone on the team was great with communication and have always been prompt. The team went above and beyond to help us move in on short notice. We felt great about our experience with Winkworth!

Didn't respond to an enquiry. Prompted, then lied about property status/availability. Shut down responses when questioned about it. The standard of English estate agents is abysmal compared to those abroad, yet people accept this low level, amateurish behaviour...so they get it!

It was the second time I sold with Winkworth Reading Estate Agents and on both occasions the process went very smoothly. We had accepted offer just after 2 weeks our property was on the market. After that we were looked after very well too. Trudy took charge of coordinating the process . She was fantastic help to communicate with our buyers and people who we were buying from. I wish every agency have coordinator like her. We moved in 11 weeks from making offer for our dream home. I believe such a greasy time was only achieved because of Trudy coordinating it. Annette was amazing and helpful getting us into our flat quickly and efficiently. Joe was also speedy arranging viewings and admin. Sadly since we moved in, management has been appalling. On 5/12 we were told we would be updated in two days about a long list of issues (dirty carpets and sofas, tv and satellite not working, dangerous furniture needing removal, plumbing issues). It’s 13/12 and we have heard nothing and nothing has been fixed. It looks very much like the service is good when trying to get your money and poor once they have it. Update 6/5/23. It seems Winkworth had outsourced property mgt and were in the process of bringing it back in house when we had our problems. We dealt with James Hathaway, a director, subsequently and he was brilliant. Sorted out all our problems and was really responsive. Would recommend highly now.

Nicola has been incredible throughout the process of buying our new home. From showing us around initially, to answering all our questions via telephone and email, chasing for updates and also keeping us updated throughout. We also had great support from Michael when we had to negotiate with the seller regarding repairs. He really made us feel at ease throughout and was so supportive of us for moving into our new home.
