GoogleFirstly, would highly recommend to anyone reading and thinking of selling their property to try advertising privately first as I was glad to have bought a property this way; it was a much easier experience than my dealings with estate agents.
As a buyer; just wasted my time really, only contacted me if they wanted feedback on a property otherwise I had to contact them every week or two asking for updates when in a chain, misleading information known to be untrue for properties viewed given, gave up asking questions on viewings in the end as often didn't know anything about the property or just flicked through the booklet to find the answer (in which case just give viewers a copy of the booklet).
Overall, I had two properties I made offers on; one was accepted and I then waited for the sellers to find a property themselves, 3 months of the estate agent never updating me unless I asked, I eventually pulled out. The house has just been put up by a new estate agent a year and a half later. Another property, I gave an offer of asking price and was told by the estate agents that the sellers wanted more despite no other offers being made, I said no and they then claimed "oh we weren't trying to make you offer more" (why ask me then?), 3 months the house then sat on the market before being taken off/sold. In both examples; messing around a potential buyer for what? The commission on the extra £5k compared to the cost of all the additional viewings across the 3 months would have lost you money. The first house is now with another estate agent so no gain either.
Very friendly though. Probably great for sellers for some of these reasons to make more money on the sale.

I have only dealt with the sales dept at Walmsley.
These agents are, simply put, amongst the worst if you are looking to buy at any of their properties.
They lie, I called to request a viewing, as soon as I saw the property, they gave me an appointment 4 days after I called, I was told and reassured by someone on their senior management team, that they only had availability that day and only one, just one other person was doing a viewing on the same day. The next day I received a call by someone I never dealt with, who told me how very sorry she was but the property had been sold = LIES!
And about offers... is a horrible experience: if you dare to put an offer they will harrass you with calls, emails and letters many times AFTER you said that was your final offer.
I wholeheartedly WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS AGENCY, if you want to buy!
Dealing with them is indeed horrible experience.

I have been with Walmsley for about 4/5 years now and would say they're the best agency I have rented with. Their service is always timely, whenever there are any maintenance issues, their response is fast and efficient usually sending out a contractor within 1-2 days. The quarterly visits are carried out sensitively, and are not made to feel as if there is an invasion on your privacy. They are always open to liaising between the landlord and I for matters which will benefit both of us, they're not biased towards one party which I have experienced in the past.
A lovely team of enthusiastic, polite and understanding individuals - I recommend Walmsley to everybody I know who is looking to let accommodation.

GoogleI rent a studio from Walmsley and the staffs from the Letting department are very friendly throughout. They're extremely helpful whenever I had queries. I was confused with the check-out process and wasn't following what they told me to do. However, the staff who check out the studio didn't give me a hard time on this one and kindly let me get away with it. I'm extremely grateful for what they've done to help me. Time and again Finn willingly showed me round the same property so I could investigate potential issues. Then when a sale was finally agreed Paula did a brilliant job of ensuring all the parties were fully briefed and working to the same timeline. We were kept well informed whilst the house was for sale and given feedback, normally within 24hrs. Once we were under offer, again, we were frequently updated.
