I cannot recommend Walsley enough. I had my property on the markey for quite some time and was getting disheartened when I couldn't shift it. But as soon as I selected Walmsley, I was put at ease and the property sold at the second viwing. After having been in touch with Craig Butt at Walmsley Estate Agents for several years, I finally marketed my property with Walmsley in Caversham in the middle of 2020 after the end of first lock down. I was extremely pleased with the continued professionalism of all the team, throughout the whole sale process. Given the conditions of the market, and the uncertainty during the pandemic, at no point did I feel that I wasn't getting the best level of service or response. Simon Walmsley intervened while Craig was on leave, at what was a crucial stage in the sale when there were two offers on the table to consider. His guidance and professionalism in handling the negotiation of the sale price was second to none. Paula worked really well with Karen Pratt at Blandy & Blandy to chase through the sale to conclusion. I think that using Walmsley to sell your property in Caversham is highly recommended, as the team have a wealth of local market knowledge, and experience which is second to none. We would highly recommended the team at Walmsley. We sold our property and purchased our new property through Walmsley and what a breath of fresh air! We invited some other estate agents to sell the property including Purple Bricks and other local estate agents, however Craig and the team at Walmsley came across much better they were not only very friendly but seemed very professional and knowledgeable and were well prepared with local market information. Some of the other estate agents were pushy but Walmsley were very pleasant to deal with and had our best interests in mind. On the purchase Walmsley helped by making us aware of property's which suited our requirements which resulted in us putting in an offer and purchasing through them. The communication was fantastic and Paula went the extra mile to ensure that everything was progressing smoothly in the sale and purchase and although there were a few challenges on completion day she communicated with all parties to ensure that this happened. I have been using Walmsley Estate Agent for selling and buying property for over 25 years. I cannot recommend enough. Buying and selling houses is always stressful but the process is made as painless as possible with Walmsley. Simon is excellent and knows the market and has always achieved the best possible price for us. He has always told me the most likely price we will achieve and has always been correct. He once valued a property considerably higher than other Estate Agents because it was a unique property, he achieved his prediction and the property was sold within 2 weeks. Walmsley strive to make the process as stress free as possible with very dedicated back office staff who liaise directly with the Solicitors, Seller and Buyer - so you don't have to! They also update you very regularly on the current situation so you are never left wondering what is happening.

We rented a property in Reading which Walmsley managed. We found that Janet and her team were very helpful and friendly, when ever we had a problem we knew we just needed to phone the office and the problem was sorted out near enough straight away which was great as they always got the workers to arrange a time that suited us and our shift patterns It was aslo great to go into the office in Caversham to speak with the team and build up a rapor with them which made us feel at ease. We were first time buyers and a little overwhelmed by the process, but Paula and Finn helped us a lot. We also went through some real difficulties when going through with the purchase and they were endlessly patient and helpful. Paula was always very quick to respond to us, both by email and telephone! And always keep us updated. Finn showed us around the property (a number of times!) and was always knowledgeable and provided good advice. Definitely recommend Walmsley Estate Agents. I highly recommend this real estate agency. Paula and Finn are both very nice, professional and patient. The process of buying a house was very difficult. There were some problems with the property appraisal during the process, and we needed to provide other information such as an electrical inspection report, otherwise we would not give an appraisal. Paula helped us contact some companies and find other appraisers to help with the investigation. Finally, we got the appraised price and the bank granted us the loan. Thank you very much. The recommended lawyer was also very efficient and quick. We were inexperienced, so we went to see the house we wanted to buy several times. Finn, who showed us the house, was very patient every time. Secondly, I paid attention to the houses near Caversham and felt that the houses provided by this agency were quite good. As a buyer, I was very satisfied.

Worst experience with a rental property ever. Walmsley happily let a property to my family with 2 very young children, mid-winter, with radiators that weren’t working, a boiler that didn’t work properly, windows that didn’t open and close properly, and bare wires on the living room floor (none of which we were aware of prior to moving in). There were around 30 things wrong which still weren’t rectified 6 months later and we were forced to leave and find somewhere else. Walmsley will happily accept payment from landlords that they know are very poor landlords whilst the tenants suffer. Would definitely not recommend to either tenants or landlords.

I recently completed the sale of my Emmer Green property through Walmsley and was very satisfied with the service from the initial valuation, through agreement of the content of the property brochure, organisation of viewings and then liaising with the eventual buyers to achieve a successful outcome. Every one I dealt with in the Sales team was friendly and professional and good communication was maintained. A special mention of Paula Abbott who looked after the critical period after an offer had been made and accepted. She was always accessible, rang back promptly when I left a message, provided really practical advice and was always willing to work positively between me and the buyers when I felt things weren't going quite as I expected and reassure me with a sensible rationale for events - no unhelpful sugar coating of the facts! I have moved house quite often over the years and, based on that experience, Walmsley are right up there amongst the very best.
