AVOID AT ALL COSTS - I would give negative stars if I could. The end to end service was incredibly terrible & full of faults. - Marketed my property without my consent - the property details even contained errors - The agents made NO EFFORT whatsoever to sell the property during viewings, simply stood in the corner. I was viewing properties for a new place at the same time, and you can see what proper marketing is like - Called weekly to simply read useless figures off a screen - this is their update - When I found a buyer & half way through the conveyancing process, nearly lost out on the sale because Chancellors didn’t relay a message across to me for weeks!!! - Sales progression team is absolutely useless, maybe heard from them 5 times during 6 months. Each time with out of date information. They may as well not have been there. But guess when I got an instant response from them - when I emailed telling them I was completing on the sale & I had a query. Never seen someone send me an invoice so quickly requesting for the commission, & the answer to the query itself came 24 hours later!! It was a simple question of whether I could leave the keys to the property with the branch. Can’t believe the state of this service cost me a couple of grand. STAY AWAY FROM CHANCELLORS IF YOU WANT A SMOOTH SALE

Ben Robertson was the only estate agent that we came across that explained everything we needed to know about renting our first property. As my husband was from Bali I was concerned that It would affect our renting prospects.. Other estate agents Haven’t been very helpful compared to Ben. I had dealt with Chancellors for a rental property in Reading. Dean Smith is the agent who was there with me from the initial call to viewing arrangements. He supported me in the documentation aspect as well. The best part is, I did get support from him post my tenancy start date as well. One of the best professional with friendly attitude. Hi, I'm new to Uk and Dean Smith from Chancellor's had guided and helped me in taking to right place. His assistance is awesome and this is the basic expectations from each customer. I booked a viewing initially unfortunately I didn't get opportunity to get that flat. Dean had helped in identifying the property in my preference location rather me looking out. Selling a property, requires an agent you can trust. From the moment we met Gareth, we found him to be extremely likeable, confident and an amiable character. He was well prepared and had obviously done his research, being able to provide all the information we needed to make a decision. So, it was without question that we immediately decided to sign Chancellors as “sole agent”. Since then we have received exactly what we were told we would! Continuous communication and updates, advice, a pro-active approach and an ownership to dealing with all enquiries etc. It’s great when people pick up the phone instead of relying on email! Chancellors have a strong team in Reading who work together to support each other and deliver and that really makes a difference. In our opinion Gareth is a credit to himself and the organisation.

An excellent experience! We have sold 4 properties in Reading over the past few years and have been pretty unimpressed by agents we have used, with the exception of Chancellors. On the sales side, Jemma was friendly, professional and knowledgeable and, once we had agreed a sale, Michael kept us informed regularly of developments and was helpful and professional also. We contacted Chancellors recently for a valuation of our house, and spoke to Gareth Briggs. Gareth arranged a visit quickly and to suit ourselves. When he arrived he was very personable and professional. He had researched the area and our property beforehand and provided good historical and local information regarding the property market, along with a valuation of our property and advice regarding home improvements.
