Been absolutely amazing and patient with me and my partner and we couldn’t be happier! We had set back and delays which made us worry with might have to sign contact in old property and miss our chance but Imogen ball went above and beyond for us and got this speeded ahead so we could get into our new property I couldn’t thank her enough! If I could thank her a million times I would she’s been absolutely amazing! Imogen thanks once again and I really hope you do get recognised for this!

TrustpilotCan I give 0 Stars?
Can I give 0 Stars? Our property went on the market almost 15 weeks ago, and in all that time we've had 2 viewings. Even in the slowest market this seems unreasonable. The communication from the office has been very poor, we received a viewing from somone I do not believe was proceedable at the time. I believe this as I was told by 2 members of staff in the office, but the manager disagrees. We haven't been told what is being done to sell our house, we were told at the original valuation appointment that they hoped it would be sold in 4-6 weeks and we are significantly further down the line with no update of what is happening. The only advice we've had in that time is to reduce the price, even though we originally listed at the recommended price. We are very unhappy with the service and would not recommend to anyone.

Appalling is the only way to rate this estate agent, zero marketing, zero feedback and zero customer care for some unknown reason they won't reply to my review they just keep having them removed, let's see how long this one lasts as the 3 previous they've had them removed.

TrustpilotAvoid. Avoid. Avoid!!!
I absolutely would not recommend Farrell Heyworth. I really wish I read these reviews before we used them because then we wouldn't have bothered. They were nice enough when they valued our house and the agent who valued it repeatedly assured us that we would have no problem finding a house within our budget... This was a lie. They promised they would let us know houses before they went live... This was a lie, they only told us about two houses in the whole 9 months we wasted using their 'services' both of which did not remotely match our criteria. They did absolutely NOTHING to help us find a house. They only contacted us twice about unsuitable houses and a couple of times the 'sale progression team' phoned to see how we were doing. Due to the shocking customer service and the fact we were misled by them meaning we haven't found a house we have since withdrawn the house from the market. Definitely don't trust them and would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. I'm also aware that if I get a response to this reveiw it will just be a 'copy and paste' bog standard response that doesn't actually address anything.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Customer service is extremely important to us and any feedback we receive will help us to maintain our high standards of customer care.I’m sorry you felt disappointed by the guidance you were given in February that you would be likely to find a suitable home to buy. This guidance will have been given based on the property market and economy at the time which has seen some changes over the following months. We cannot ever guarantee that a customer selling their house with us will find a suitable property to buy, as this is entirely beyond our control. As selling agents we have a duty to help you to sell your property for the highest possible price and I’m pleased to hear my colleagues were able to achieve an offer you found acceptable in what can be a challenging market.Kind regards,Jeremy Collins, Director

This is the worst estate agent / letting agent the world has ever seen the I am a tenant, the repeatedly fail to fix problems i have been left without heating or hot water for 4 weeks now over Christmas in temperatures of minus 10 degrees c despite over 50 calls to get them to find a contractor to fix it If i could deal directly with the landlord I would but cant. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. The experience of tenants in all our properties is extremely important to us. After investigating this matter I can see that my colleagues have attempted to resolve the issues with your boiler from the day the faults were reported. My understanding is that they have found the boiler provider slow to provide the parts necessary for them to conclude the repair. This must be extremely frustrating for you but I can assure you that our team have done everything in their control to resolve the problem and will continue to do so.I’m aware that you have spoken with one of my colleagues recently and hope that you are reassured that we are doing everything we can on your behalf.Kind regards,Jeremy Collins, Director

TrustpilotTerrible customer service, poor communication!
Terrible customer service and poor communication. We wanted to buy a house for sale in Knott End. We'd gotten to the point of nearly exchanging contracts, when the seller pulled out asking for more money. We got back in touch with the estate agent and told them that we were unable to increase our offer, and to let the seller know why. We then got a text from the seller about how "since she'd had no contact, she'd assume we can't increase our offer". So, not only did FH not get back in touch with us, despite promising us a call, they also didn't even get in touch with the seller. It was only after our mortgage advisor rang multiple times, with the last time refusing to hang up unless he got an answer, that we finally got the answer that "they considered the sale not to be going forward". Which I could've told them. After all that, the house was then back on rightmove, for the exact same price it was originally, at the exact offer we gave. I would give 0 stars if I could. My advice, don't bother selling with FH, don't bother buying with FH. Absolutely terrible, and I will be avoiding buying any house that they are in charge of selling.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Customer service is extremely important to us and your custom is highly valued. We understand it has been very frustrating not to be able secure your chosen property. We are duty bound to act on the instructions of our clients in all matters relating to their property, as we have in this case. We have a legal duty to inform our vendor clients of every offer that is made for their property and any increase in offers made. I have investigated this matter and can confirm that your increased offer was communicated to the vendor. When a sale falls through, as in this case, the property is automatically re-marketed at the initial price. In this case the property was withdrawn from sale shortly after this took place.Again, we can understand your frustrations in this matter but we are duty bound to follow the instructions of our clients. If you have not yet found your ideal home our team are still here to help.kind regards,Jeremy Collins - Director

TrustpilotTook my money for no reason.
They certainly take no time taking your money and removing it from the market and then the house was back on the market again, quicker than I could blink. They coerced me into giving them £80 for anti money laundering checks, even though I was only viewing the house for someone else who was actually buying, otherwise I gad nothing to do with it. It didn't get as far as needing anti money laundering checks (the sellers fault not ours) so therefore I want my money back.

Useless company, completely inept.Enquired about a valuation was told would be done digitally and to complete info to do on line.Started doing this then 10 mins later get a text advising I had a telephone apt the next day to complete over phone.OK so i cancelled all work apts for the next day and booked time off work to accommodate, no one calls!I call and speak to the lancaster branch manager who was rude and basically stated I was confused and that it wasn't arranged as a call. I asked if this hadn't been arranged how I had texts from staff and asked how I would know staff's works mobile numbers if they hadn't texted. As an upshot of not listening to me, deflecting everything I said I advised I would not be using them. Why would I trust a company with something as important as selling a house when they can't even organise a simple call!I asked to be removed from all future communications. Since then I have been continually harassed by text and email. I have called approx 3 times to request, emailed to request, and even spoken to other branches who have advised that they won't contact.Since then I have had lots more emails and texts.I have called to complain and asked for complaints procedure which is to write to the branch manager i have an issue with!No thanks I will take up with ico as a breach. You won't get any business from me ever again.LAUGHABLE RESPONSE FROM YOU BELOW WHICH FURTHER REITERATES THAT YOU ARE CLEARLY USELESS AND COMPLETLY INEPT....REASON: I HAVE NEVER SOLD ANY PROPERTIES THROUGH YOU SO STUPID RESPONSE AND JUST FURTHER PROVES YOU ARE INCOMPETENT.AND THIS IS YOUR RESPONSE FROM A COMPANY DIRECTOR, IT DOESNT BODE WELL IF YOUR IN CHARGE AS CLEARLY YOU ARE COMPLETELY INEPT OR JUST LYING.

Iam being told i must show my bank statements…which i will not be doing!!! …i have only ever known this when buying property valued over 2 or 3 million. I was told that the vendors are aware of this policy… but when i pop a note through the door of a property I wanted to view….the owner said he wasn’t aware of any such policy…. So if your not getting viewings…maybe this is why!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear you were somewhat disappointed in the experience. Customer service is extremely important to us and we always strive to operate with the safety of our customers at heart. I think it's valuable to outline what our procedures with regard to viewings are, and why we are continuing with these procedures when many agents seem to have returned to pre-Covid operating practices. Our process is as follows:All initial enquiries to view are provided with a virtual video tour which is received within minutes of the request. The virtual viewing is followed up and feedback obtained, this is extremely valuable to the owner of the property. If somebody wishes to then book a physical viewing we will ascertain if they are ready to proceed. A Mortgage agreement or financial qualification is then required to put the buyer in the best possible position to offer, along with acting solicitor details. The viewing can then be arranged. Unfortunately, we still receive many requests to view properties from individuals who have no intention of buying said property. To keep our staff and customers safe we have chosen to continue with a process that will allow us to limit the amount of people that physically view to just genuine buyers. If the person viewing the property wishes to make an offer we would require a proof of funds at this stage in any event.Kind regards,Jeremy Collins, Director

I wanted to view a property and I was on Farrell and Hayworth list with all my details ie my house is sold my address etc but they wanted proof of funds before I can view, meaning they want my bank details . Does this not constitute data protection ? I only wanted to view a property and if I wanted it then proof of funds will be given. This is I am sure not legal but they say it is their policy. So do not be surprised if your bank account is used as you have given all your details to a employee of that company.Do not use them.

Given a bad reference to new landlord for complaining about various issues including sleeping on a mattress on the floor for two months and a boiler leaking gas, they also tried to charge illegal fees. Do not use these agents, they are cruel thugs. I have been in tears. I have supported many clients as a housing adviser and I have never seen a worse tenancy than the one I have had. I have been trying to get a viewing of a property we are interested in for over a week. We received the shoddy video - pretty useless to get a proper impression. We were asked and confirmed we had an offer on our property - Farrell's effectively suggested I was lying and said they would contact our agents for confirmation. The next day another person from the office rang to ask what we thought of the video - said we had seen and requested a viewing ..."we can only do that if yours is sold but I'll get back to you" Heard nothing. An earlier directors response to someone else complaining was "there are lots of people out there with no intention of buying" - well just maybe you have to take the rough with the smooth and that way you might sell on behalf of your clients - appalling approach and appalling service.
