Morally bankrupt liars

This company is a joke. I bought an apartment from them under the discount to open market value scheme, and whilst I was aware I would be paying maintenance charges for the upkeep of the areas surrounding the property, the fees they ask for are nothing short of ridiculous. The amount changes all the time, they add on services that were not asked for nor required, and they've even had the audacity to charge me for Land liability insurance, health and safety inspections and fire safety risk assessments. This is something a landlord is responsible for by law, yet they've passed the extortionate fees onto the buyers instead. When we challenged this, the maintenance company told us that Jones homes "hadn't given the correct information upon purchase and should have told you that your apartment is in fact a company, therefore you are required to cover the costs of risk assessments and insurance". Needless to say, I checked on Companies House and this was an outright lie. I challenged them and they continued to maintain that our entire street was a registered company and we as buyers must foot their bills, and when I told them if they have set up a company in my name without my knowledge or consent, that is fraud, his response was to claim I signed up for this. I checked my contract and that absolutely was not the case, but according to them I bought a property from them and somehow ended up financially responsible for the upkeep and insurance for entire street. I have never heard anything so ridiculous.Additonally, we had been paying into a reserve fund for 4 years, only to be told the £2000 we had paid into within that timeframe had somehow disappeared, so they are thieves as well as liars. This company is morally bankrupt and an absolute disgrace and I would never buy from them again.

Great sales and after sales service

From our initial reservation, to moving in, the sales team have been excellent. They kept us informed through the whole process which took a lot of the stress out of the move. There were a few snags but these were dealt with quickly and efficiently by the site manager. The constructors even took some of our boxes etc away to save us going to the tip. Absolutely love our home.

Sales representation at Jones Homes

My contact has been with Sarah at NewHome solutions and Penny in the Sales Office. Sarah calls me every week without fail with an update. The only problem which is out of Sarah's control is the delay that completion is taking from our buyers.Penny has been wonderful and very helpful in answering my various questions very quickly or if she cant answer then obtaining the answer. She has always been very good at giving me access to the home for taking various measurements etc in preparation for our anticipated move which we are looking forward to very much. Jones homes are good if no faults found…

Jones homes are good if no faults found on your new build which is unlikely in any new build. The big problem is there customer service team are really poor my Experience is with the Lancashire department few minor issues with landscaping outside property and the patronising comments by email I've received are not what any big professional company with years of experience should allow.Would I buy a property from Jones Homes again definitely not because if a minor issue has resulted in the email I've received what happens if you have a bigger issue on property .

Smooth experience

The purchase of our new home went very smoothly. We were given regular updates on how the build was going and there was always someone to talk to at the end of the phone if we needed it. The move day came without any issues and it was lovely to finally be in our new home - there was also a beautiful bunch of flowers waiting for us. The customer care team came and saw us and explained everything - how things worked etc etc. We have been very happy with all communication. Any issues we did have, have been dealt with in a professional way.

He has been friendly, warm and answered any questions I have had in addition to offering advice on potential alternatives. Ben has always gone above and beyond and I remember a time when there was an issue with the front door and he went away to get the necessary parts to ensure the door was repaired before leaving. Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Moved in end of April 2022 to suit their end of financial year target! Standard of build very very poor. No where near 5 star finish. This is the worst place I’ve ever lived. Noisy, draughty windows - and doors that do not fit the opening they sit in. Their answer to this ‘they are fitted to our standard build’ this does not agree with their advertising and promoting of ‘exceptional finish - perfecting every last detail’. They are exceptional at promoting how good they are; they are exceptional at answering the issues and saying the right things; they are also exceptional at not following through with the issues that need to be put right once they have been addressed. I have written a formal complaint, which again was addressed, but still waiting for numerous issues to be dealt with. Exceptional - Jones Homes - Again!

We moved into our beautiful new home 4 weeks ago. There have been a few snagging points as to be expected with a new build property, but everything has either been dealt with or is in hand. Carl the site manager at the Bolsover site has been brilliant and very professional in every way. Nothing is too much trouble for him to make sure we are happy with everything. We would highly recommend Jones Homes to anyone looking to purchase a quality new build home.

Great customer service

We have just visited the Alderley Gardens sales office. We were greeted with a warm hello and offered cake by the lovely Terri Stamp. We first met Terri about 4 years ago when we bought our home in Westlow Heath, Congleton. Terri is fantastic at her job. She always goes above and beyond and no question is too small. Her attention to detail is exemplary. She is a true credit to Jones Homes.
