I moved my elderly sick parents from Somerset to Plymstock, and it wasn't a straight forward move! Everything that could of gone wrong did go wrong, at times Mum and Dad wanted to pull out, but I have to say that Paul and his AMAZING team at Land Town & Country, held our hand through every step. They knew when to put the pressure on the right people at the right time, they knew when to chase or to sit tight, they knew how to handle very awkward situation that we did not want to be in, and took the reigns for us. I can not recommend this company highly enough, they know their stuff, they are professional, they understand that this process is highly stressful and take away that stress where they can, and they deliver exactly what they are supposed to. Would like to express a huge thank you to the team at the Plymstock. My parents are in their ‘80’s” and realised their house in Fore Street, Plympton St Maurice was large and unpractical for their needs. We worked with a couple of other agencies first and then my parents made the decision to switch to Lang’s. The help and advice they received was excellent and the whole process was professionally managed by Lang’s. I’m sure without the help they received, the process would have been a lot more stressful. We recently bought and sold through Lang Town & Country (Plymstock Branch) and the service we received was superb. They sold our flat within a couple of weeks of going on the market and hand held us through the purchase of our new house. We were complete newbies to the process so had lots of questions and needed plenty of reassuring along the way which they dealt with in a patient and professional manner. Special mention to Andy Genge who dealt with everything in a calm and assured way which was crucial to our stress levels during exchange and completion! Couldn't recommend highly enough.

We have sold and bought twice recently. Gareth Forrest and his team are by far the best Estate Agents we have ever used .... and we've moved many times. They are professional, friendly, well informed and work as a team. In our most recent sale we lost our buyers while abroad for seven weeks. Gareth rang us while we were collecting luggage at Heathrow. Before our coach arrived in Plymouth we had a new buyer. Within three weeks we moved to our new home.Impressive. We have bought and sold a number of properties in Plymouth over the last few years, and Langs are head and shoulders above the rest. There is no -one else we would go to now. They definitely know their stuff, and they know each individual property. We had great confidence in them all. We dealt mainly with Olivia, Mel, Amy and Sharlotte, and I am now worrying that I should have mentioned others, as without exception, they were all brilliant! Avoid this letting agency!

Our experience with Lang Town & Country (Plymouth) has been extremely challenging. After moving out of one of their managed properties, we were presented with an unjustified list of deposit deductions, including a £180 charge for a "finish clean," despite having left the property in good condition after a thorough two-day clean. It became evident that they had no intention of being fair and reasonable in their approach. They even tried to charge us for carpet cleaning that hadn’t been done prior to our tenancy and for curtain stains caused by a leaky radiator, a maintenance issue we had reported and that was never properly addressed during our tenancy.Even after we raised valid concerns, we were met with dismissive responses and veiled threats about renegotiating other costs if we dared to dispute. It was only after taking the case to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) that we were vindicated, and our entire deposit was returned. This outcome clearly shows that their claims were unreasonable from the start.If you're considering renting through Lang Town & Country, be prepared for a stressful end-of-tenancy process, inflated charges, and poor maintenance service. They will happily make you pay for their shortcomings. I cannot recommend this agency and would advise others to be cautious when dealing with them.More to the point that we had to expend a load of effort dealing with Langtown and Country, and reducing ourselves to the petty level they go to, to squeeze money out of tenants.
