TrustpilotShysters.
Shysters.I put my property on with them as they offerred a good deal so I thought. I now realise they overvalued the property with lots of promises to get me hooked.I even paid a additional cash lump sum up front for enhanced marketing, but my iphone pictures were better than theirs! So we ran for the full 4 months of the contract and they got 4 viewings, so I told them I was going to go elsewhere. this dragged on for a bit and then I confirmed it to them and went to another agent who sold the place in about 4 weeks! So what the hell were Fox and Sons doing all that time! Now however, Foxy want to claim a 1% plus VAT fee from me for their time as they say there were two agents involved! I think Ill let this one go to court to see what a judge thinks as they did NOT achieve this sale and had plenty of opportunity to do so.Only use these guys if there is no one else and spray painting 'FOR SALE' on your fence is not an option!

TrustpilotFox and Sons Crewkerne
Fox and Sons Crewkerne Really bad experience!! Fox and Sons company has rented us a house with bugs inside the kitchen and bathroom, the outside garden is absolutely disgusting, abandoned rubbish bags, broken chairs, greens everywhere, dirty rubbbish containers, abandoned children toys at the entrance, the list goes on. Generally the house is in very poor condition. We have sent a complaint letter and nothing was done so far!! Poor service, not recommended.

GoogleThis is our first experience as Landlords and to say we were nervous is an understatement. But from our very first appointment with Bethany, it was all made so very easy and she put us so much at ease. We are now 3 months in with our tenant and the communication continues to be excellent. Thanks so much Fox & Sons letting team.

GoogleVery helpful and friendly staff. Scott dealt with our mortgage, made it very easy to understand and was with us every step of the way. Unfortunately our first application was refused which was very disappointing. He told us originally that there wasn't a lot he could do but a few hours later came back with the news that he had found us a lender! Very happy that he kept trying for us and fingers crossed the rest of the process goes smoothly. 10 out of 10 for costumer service and attention to detail.

GoogleWe found the house we wanted very quickly, and thus had little interaction with the sales and marketing team. We were most impressed by the outstanding service provided by the mortgage advisor -Scott Thomson - he gave excellent advice and guidance, and set wheels in motion quickly. He assisted us greatly throughout the purchase, as did the Branch Manager - Susan Luckie - Many thanks to them both. We did choose their recommended solicitors - Spicketts Battrick, and while I cant really fault their service, on reflection, and in view of a few complications, it would have been better to have been able to pop into a local office for face to face discussions. House purchase is a stressful time, and ours was no different, it could have been much worse, had Scott and Susan not intervened as required.

TrustpilotI Would Not Recommend this Company
Basic initial sale services were fine but after an offer was accepted contact deteriorated significantly to the point where I had to constantly chase the office for any updates and push them to obtain information from further down the chain, where there was an issue that needed resolving.I would call the office and ask for an update, I would be promised a call back later that day but wouldn't receive one. This happened several times. In the early stages I also sent a number of emails but not one was even acknowledged let alone answered. I also raised some questions during the course of this process and now post completion there are still some that have not been answered.Where most houses are sold via various internet sites it is the post offer acceptance service that is important. You rely on your estate agent to gather information, answer queries and push the sale through, after all you are normally paying a significant sum for this service and the problem solving skills of the staff involved. Unfortunately this service was missing completely. Ironically I actually received a better service from the estate agent that sold us our new property, a company that I didn't have to pay anything to!

GoogleMyself and my boyfriend used Fox and Sons to find a flat during this COVID 19 pandemic and found them to be very professional and quick despite the obvious extra difficulties of the pandemic. We would defiantly use them again in the future and apart from a slight discrepancy in information we were given (that could have been the results of miscommunication between estate agent and landlord) we had no problems throughout the process.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality

GoogleI recently rented a property with Fox and Sons letting agency and I have to say I was met with outstanding agents who were friendly, knowledgeable and understanding. I am a first time private renter and they made the process very easy and explained anything and everything that I had questions or queries about. I would highly recommend using Fox and Sons as a letting agency, the Mutley (Plymouth) team we’re brilliant!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

TrustpilotKemp Town Branch mis-sold their legal services and I lost £1100. NO HONOUR, NO INTEGRITY in this company
I was mis-sold their Sequence legal services & lost £1100 when they failed to honour their guarantee. Ed Middle, a Branch Director, emailed a "no quibble money back guarantee" & then failed to honour it - the lack of honour & integrity goes right to the top. After wasting 2 months making a complaint to their compliance, they fobbed me off telling me to take my complaint to the Ombudsman - I assume they're hoping I just go away.

TrustpilotI have just completed on a purchase…
I have just completed on a purchase through the Fordingbridge branch. I will never choose to deal with this company again. The manager of the branch was very helpful though rarely available. Unfortunately our viewings and subsequent transaction was dealt with by a 'negotiator' who at fobbed us off at every opportunity, provided misleading, and at times entirely inaccurate information about our purchase. The whole service lacked professionalism, efficiency and an understanding of the contemporary housing market. Avoid.

TrustpilotFox & Sons Hastings- Disgraceful…
Fox & Sons Hastings- Disgraceful service, my tenancy ended in Feb 2015, heard nothing from them untill July 2016 when they took me to court for unpaid rent from Feb 2015 till December 2015 even though I wasn't living at the property. The case went to court early 2016 & it got dismissed as I proved I vacated the property. September 2016 they took me back to court for the same reasons & once again the case got dismissed,I've been chasing them for a copy of my file that they have during my tenancy since July 2016 & still nothing from them, they don't even bother to call or email me back & they just palm me off with excuses everytime I go into the branch. Once again I received a email from my solicitor stating they are taking me back to court next month for the same reasons as the last 2 times! I have proved twice now that I left the property & this is seriously beyond a joke!

TrustpilotVery disappointed in service!
Very bad experience trying to sell our flat.Inexperienced young agents with little knowledge of the property holding viewings. Not turning up on occasions. Bad liason with potential buyer, took more than 6 months only for buyer to pull out! Not promoting the property, said they had London investors, so had wider coverage than local agents, another failure. Will not use them again!

GoogleAfter seeing 5 agents and checking through all the reviews I decided that Suzie from Fox and Son's was the best person to sell our house.
I definitely made the best choice! She is the most charming and affable person you could meet while at the same time a shrewd business lady who pushed for and got the best price for us. She is a huge asset to the company and I cannot recommend her highly enough!!

TrustpilotAlways in touch and persistent
Always in touch and persistentI didn't end up buying with Fox & Sons but they were one of the only agencies out of the several I was in touch who constantly followed up and kept trying, even when I kept saying no to places I visited. Sometimes the properties they suggested really did not match my criteria, but this was better than other agencies who would show you one property then disappear if you didn't like it.

TrustpilotCompletely incompetent from start to…
Completely incompetent from start to finish at Hastings branch. Nothing was ever the estate agent’s responsibility. We ended up wasting weeks on a purchase being told that documents and safety certificates etc were ‘imminent’. Nothing ever transpired so we eventually had to pull out having lost £1k on solicitors fees and surveys. I asked for a formal way to make a complaint, but my email was simply ignored, hence this review.

TrustpilotFox & Sons Crawley - Horrendous
What can I say about this Estate Agent, nothing complimentary that's for sure. We received no feedback from them after viewings what so ever, I had to constantly call them. They arranged an open day for our house so we went out for the day, they failed to lock my back door. Shoddy! After the open day, still no feedback until I waited a few days and called them. The only other viewings arranged by them did not even fit in with the times I had advised would be convenient, so it meant I had to change arrangements with my dog walker at short notice. On one occasion they called to confirm a viewing that I knew nothing about! We then saw a property we wanted to view in Bexhill, even though we had been told Fox and Sons had this vast network of agents throughout the UK we could not be found on their data base, even though we were registered with their Crawley branch. After viewing this property we made a full asking price offer. I left a message on Fox & Sons Crawley answerphone to let them know we had made an offer, which had been accepted in principle and asked if someone could call me on the MondaY. No-one called, I had to call them yet again. I took this opportunity to ask the manager why we were not on the Bexhill database, only to be told, "it was probably someone who didn't know how to use the system" I also asked what they could do to get some viewings or if there was any marketing activity they could do to help get things moving, bearing in mind we really wanted the property in Bexhill, the response was "it's all about the price and that a reduction would need to be substantial" Having since had several other estate agents to give us a market appraisal, they have all valued our property at £10,000 less than Fox & Sons did. it would seem to me they tell you the house is worth more to get your business, then when nothing happens they make you reduce the price. Trying to move home is stressful enough without having to deal with people who quite clearly are not fit for purpose! I would never use this agent again, even to the point where I am looking to buy a property I won't even consider it if it is up for sale with Fox and Sons, the house we had liked so much in Bexhill and had our offer agreed in principle, then appeared on Rightmove a few days later with Sold STC across the advert. No-one even had the courtesy to call me or send me an email to let me know. Poor service seems endemic in this company.
