Harassment

Emailed them once about a flat 1 month ago on Zoopla. Since then, I have been phoned relentlessly. I have called them, emailed them and told them that this is harassment, that they need to delete my phone number and I do not want to be phoned. I am distressed as I am still getting phone calls by them weekly. By law, this is the definition of harassment. I should know, because I'm a solicitor. I have run out of options, therefore I'm writing this review. I don't know what else to do, if this continues I have to report them to the police.

Fantastic service

Second property sold with Alex, Michelle and Laura, if you want a team that will go above and beyond and work tirelessly to get a deal done, I would highly recommend chase Buchanan downend. Unlike some of their neighbouring estate agents, Alex , Michelle and Laura will keep you updated and be transparent, they’re expertise and knowledge is worth the weight in gold.Support and after care is second to none. Had a very tricky chain with some very poor estate agents involved further down the chain, however Alex, Michelle and Laura stepped up to cover the lack of professionalism by the others and were constantly keeping us updated and making sure the deal was kept alive, it’s very clear these guys are the best in business . Nothing is a problem and they treat you as family. They took control on multiple occasions and pushed all the legal teams to get the process finished. Without the efforts from all at chase the deal would have fallen through. If you want to make buying and selling a little simpler then choose these, they will get the job done and you won’t regret it.

Disrespectful place. I emailed and submitted a message on their website and got no response. I then called today. I asked to rent a three bedroom property. I tell them that I am the only one that will be living at the property on a permanent basis and that my parents will visit. Then they continue to ask "It's a three bedroom property so who else will be living at the property?". Totally disrespectful that they were not willing to take my word for it (and, of course, I understand that referencing and such will take place afterwards). My salary can cover the rent so it is not their issue. I suspect that the reason they did not believe me is because I am not white and have an accent.

Lived in a property managed by Bereford Ward for just over two years. House was lovely, and I've always found the team professional and friendy whenever I've had any dealing with them. Any issues we've had with the house were sorted out quickly when they arose. Both the sign up to and leaving the property was made stress free and they've always tried very hard to secdule or reschedule appointments/repairs around our busy lives.

It is not often I give a company TWO five star reviews.But in this case it is well worth it. Having sped us through the viewing and successful offer procedure, we then moved onto the referencing process. LUCY and TOM AT HAMPTON HILL were once again just brilliant and supportive. I always find the tech side of these processes quite daunting but Lucy and Tom helped us through every stage and made us welcome in their office. These guys are absolutely fab. Can't recommend them enough! The staff have been friendly, polite, accommodating and helpful since my first contact with them. Nothing is too much trouble, James (who dealt with my rental property) was great, always replied promptly to any questions (and there were a few!) that I had prior to moving in. As for the fees, they have to be the most reasonable that I've ever come across! Everything was explained thoroughly to me and there were no hidden charges or unexpected extra costs. When I have encountered small problems with the property, they have been dealt with quickly, and Mark (director) has even taken the time to call me (which I feel is a great touch) and explain to me everything that will be happening to solve my problem. All the staff are very professional and I feel completely at ease with them. Thanks for making everything nic and stress free for me! Will be recommending you to all my friends and family :)

I would give no stars if I could

I would give no stars if I could. Our experience with Chase Buchanan has been overall very poor and have advised against any friends to rent through them.Communication was poor throughout, we have spent countless hours on hold to Chase Buchanan, not just hold that eventually gets answered, hold where it hangs up as it has been so long.The agency couldn't find anyone to fix the heating/hot water, because it was too old (cca 40 years), so we had to have the heating on when we wanted hot water.After moving out of this property it took two months to get back the deposit (they deducted more than £100 because the grass was overgrown, however the initial inventory stated the same when we moved in) and we are still waiting to get back the overpaid rent.This letting agency is extremely unprofessional, and I would recommend people to avoid it at any cost.

Selling a quirky house

My house was a bit quirky (3 floors, no garden, leasehold, within a private estate). Adele took the time to understand the house and it’s strengths, and knew the estate and surrounding area so was able to put a strong set of messaging together and brought this, together with a really positive approach to showing the house. Whilst it took a couple f months to sell, I suspect that with a less prepared and positive agent, it would have taken a lot longer. She followed through on the sales progression, which has been almost painless across a chain of 4, with completion date now agreed.
